Chattanooga Intelect Shortwave Monode

The Chattanooga Intelect Shortwave Monode is the 14 cm (5.5 in.) round inductive drum electrode with cable that ships as a standard accessory with the Intelect SWD100 shortwave diathermy unit. Bought on its own it is a spare, or a second drum so that one stays on the arm while the other is cleaned between patients. The drum houses a coil and is positioned over the treatment area on the unit's electrode arm. Output through the Monode is the unit's 0 to 100 W continuous at 50 ohm and 0 to 200 W pulsed, at 27.12 MHz.

It fits the Intelect SWD100, alongside the larger 18 x 39 cm curved Diplode inductive applicator. The capacitive electrodes are the other coupling method on this unit, used two at a time, one either side of the treatment area.
