"Ordered on Monday New Years 2024 and received on time as promised. Tracking updates from the shipping company were helpful in reducing my anxiety. My first new Garmin since the Fenix 5. My how things have changed. Screen is crystal clear battery life is longer and charging is quicker as my Fenix 5 was over 3 years old. Transfers of workouts to the Garmin Connect app on my phone are quicker than ever. Much less than half as long as before. Satellite lock is quick and the wrist vibration alert seems more detectable than on my Fenix 5 similar to my Forerunner 735 level . However, I'm still waiting for the version update from 10.44 to the current beta program that should bring me the Endurance and Hill Climb data that I am eager to start tracking. According to online YouTubers this could take over a week to download via my phone. I might just hook it up to my laptop and update that way since that method has been mentioned to occur almost instantly. Or I could wait for the beta update I'm targeting to become mainstream and get it then. If you like a lot of body and workout metrics this is a good choice for you. If you could deal with less detail then you would probably be happy with a cheaper watch that gives you less detail. It could be daunting for someone just jumping into Garmin watches but for me I've grown from the Forerunners 10 and 15, to Running Dynamics and aerobic readings on the Forerunner 735, to the additional anaerobic readings of the Fenix 5. The Epix Gen 2 takes it to another level entirely. I don't use touch screen a lot as of yet but it's a good feature to have that along with the actual Garmin 5 button format. Much Thanks to Recovery For Athletes for their part in making this happen much sooner than I was planning."

"Perfect watch. Does a whole lot more than what I need. I use for hunting and the maps are great. Track back is easy to use and the compass seems quite accurate. Drop a pin at the parking spot and wander into the woods. This thing will get you home easily. The battery is genuinely unbelievable. Right now, it's at 71% and it's estimate is 12 days of battery with no GPS on my current settings. With GPS, it drops fast but it's easily enough for a day or two in the woods."
