Garmin Fenix 8 47mm AMOLED Multisport GPS Smartwatch

The Garmin Fenix 8 47mm AMOLED Multisport GPS Smartwatch is a GPS smartwatch with strength training tools, dive capability and a speaker and microphone built in. Scuba and apnea dives log to the Garmin Dive app, ready to review once you are back on land. With the watch paired with your compatible smartphone, your phone's voice assistant can send a spoken reply to a text. Runners heading out before dawn can set the flashlight's strobe to keep time with their cadence. Lens options are glass or scratch-resistant sapphire.

The Fenix 8 multisport GPS smartwatch is built for serious athletes and outdoor adventurers who want to push beyond their limits. It features a bright 1.4 in. AMOLED display and built-in LED flashlight for after-dark visibility. A built-in speaker and mic enable you to make and take calls from your wrist when your watch is paired to your smartphone. Power up your body's performance, endurance and resistance to injury with the latest in targeted strength training plans plus a full range of sport-specific workouts.

Performance insights help manage your exertion and build stamina, while training readiness features show how much recovery time you need between workouts, based on 24/7 health and wellness monitoring of heart rate, respiration, stress, sleep and more (data presented is intended to be a close estimation of metrics tracked). Take to the trails with built-in ABC sensors and TopoActive maps that can be easily downloaded via Wi-Fi connectivity.

The dynamic round-trip routing feature helps simplify the planning of your runs or rides, letting you set your target distance and receive turn-by-turn directions that adjust to get you back to your start on schedule. Enjoy extended off-grid adventures with up to 16 days of battery life in smartwatch mode. Plus, a 40-meter dive rating and leakproof metal buttons let you reach new depths of adventure. Additional features include music storage (subscription may be required), Garmin Pay contactless payments (with a supported country and payment network), smart notifications (compatible smartphone required) and more.

Strength and dive tools

How it works

Workouts on the screen
Animated workouts play cardio, strength, yoga and Pilates moves on the watch face, and HIIT sessions run as AMRAP, EMOM, Tabata or a format you build yourself.
Decompression model
Dives are planned on a Buhlmann ZHL-16c model with gradient factors, with air or nitrox from 21 to 40 percent oxygen and a customizable safety stop of 3 or 5 minutes.
Garmin Coach plans
Garmin Coach builds adaptive or prebuilt plans for running, cycling, strength and triathlon, set up in the Garmin Connect app and followed on the watch.
SatIQ
SatIQ, which picks the GPS mode automatically, aims for positioning accuracy without spending more battery than the route calls for.

Reviews

"Product is great, the company is not. I ordered this watch and then they immediately marked it as shipped however, they did not ship it for four days. I would have canceled the order, but because they were sketchy and marked as shipped, I could not cancel the order. I would not recommend doing business with him. They are now trying to charge me a 20% restocking fee."

Awesome watch!

"The Garmin Fenix 8 is a step up from the AW in a few ways. Starting with the thicker bezel, the watch looks hefty but wears light. The battery life is tremendous, no more charging every day. The watch offers every health tracking feature imaginable. The Garmin connect app offers plenty of insight, the ability to follow friends, metrics of all sorts, etc. The one draw back is that Garmin does not clarify that the glass used on the AMOLED can scratch easily. There are other Fenix 8 versions with better quality glass."

— Shujat S. (4/5)

Best watch ever.

"Great watch. Really like the built-in flashlight and enjoy the bio feedback."

— GB O. (5/5)

Health focused fitness watch

"Upgraded from the Apple Watch Ultra for a more health focused experience instead of smartphone on wrist. Does all the basic smart features in used to from the apple watch and does a better job at monitoring and encouraging healthy decisions with a significant battery upgrade."
