Ride and train in any weather

Garmin Tacx NEO 2T Smart Bike Trainer

The Garmin Tacx NEO 2T Smart Bike Trainer is a direct-drive bike trainer with a redesigned motor and magnets for a quieter, more immersive ride. It measures total power and left and right leg balance, with power and cadence accurate to within 1%. The frame moves a few degrees left and right with you, and motion plates, sold separately, snap on for more realistic motion. Road feel reproduces cobblestone and gravel in Tacx software or the Zwift app, and Race mode answers fast in virtual races. Add a cassette of your own that matches your bike, as a cassette is not included.

The Tacx NEO 2T Smart Bike Trainer is made to help you ride and train no matter the weather conditions. The NEO 2T Smart Trainer has been optimized into an even quieter and stronger smart direct drive bike trainer. The motor has been redesigned in order to provide a better indoor cycling experience and ride feel, especially during climbs and sprints. The NEO 2T also features improved axle compatibility, directly compatible with quick release axles (130 and 135 x 5 mm) and 142 and 148 x 12 mm thru axles. Don't let the outdoors prevent you from getting an amazing ride indoors. The NEO 2T is a must-have for any rider.

What changed inside

How it works

Sound of silence
Redesigned magnets significantly improve the stillness of the NEO 2T. The noise from internal air displacement is reduced, along with the vibrations noticed at low cadence that used to travel to the floor. The result is a remarkably silent smart trainer.
Sprint response
The new motor design improves the ride feel during a climb or acceleration. More motor power lets the NEO 2T generate higher resistance levels under specific conditions, like a sprint or low speed, with 32 integrated neodymium magnets handling up to 2,200 watts.
Pedal analysis
A capacitive left and right detection sensor measures the exact position of both your legs. With standard ANT+ cycling dynamics added, you can analyse your pedal stroke through third-party software, for example on a Garmin Edge bike computer. Not available on Mac. Not available in Tacx Training.
Road feel and descents
Feel the vibrating sensation of cobblestones, gravel and many other road surfaces with Tacx software or the Zwift app. At the top of a hill, descent simulation accelerates you into the downhill when the trainer is connected to an external power source.

How to use it

Drivetrain

Cassette bodies

The T2875.60 version carries a pre-installed Shimano and SRAM 9 to 11 speed cassette body. Campagnolo (9 to 12 speed, Campagnolo Body Type 2), 13-speed Campagnolo (N3W Body Type 2), SRAM XD or XDR and Shimano Micro Spline cassettes use their own bodies, and Shimano 12-speed Hyperglide+ is compatible as well.

The Zwift Cog and Click configuration comes with a pre-installed Zwift Cog, which makes the trainer compatible with almost any 8 to 13 speed drivetrain in Zwift and ROUVY.

  • Shimano and SRAM 9 to 11 speed on the pre-installed body
  • Campagnolo, SRAM XD and Micro Spline bodies for the rest

Axles

Axles it takes

The rear axle of the NEO 2T is redesigned to work with more bikes without adapters. Quick release axles of 130 and 135 x 5 mm fit directly, and thru-axle end caps cover 142 and 148 x 12 mm.

For bikes with 135 mm spacing outside those standards, a 135 mm Thru-Axle Adapter Set is available as an accessory.

  • Quick release 130 and 135 x 5 mm
  • Thru axle 142 and 148 x 12 mm

Great Customer Service, Products and Prices

"Recovery for Athletes was great to work with on this order. They were able to quickly and efficiently process my purchase using my HSA. The trainer I purchased is a highly sought after product- order was delayed from initial projected delivery date - and yet the team at RFA was responsive and communicative and followed through on the actual delivery date. Product arrived and I’ve been happily using since."

Great Service and Great Price

"Called with questions about the Garmin and a special going on. The service representative when went above my expectations to look up the terms of the special and let me know what I had to do to qualify and apply for the special. Bought the Garmin from Recovery for Athletes (RFA) because they were $150 dollars less than everyone else. I will look to RFA first for all my future exercise equipment needs."

— David P. (5/5)

Love this trainer

"Very realistic views when riding. The trainer responds to the road surface. The tension on the road is very realistic. Having other riders around you keeps you energized. Well worth the money. I think this will make me a stronger rider."

— Heath C. (5/5)

Great bike trainer. Excellent service from RFA!

"Upgraded my 6 year old direct drive trainer to the Tacx Neo 2T. This is an awesome trainer! Super quiet and great to use. Connects with Zwift seamlessly. Customer service with RFA was also excellent. I noticed an issue with the tracking info they provided for the order. They were very helpful and resolved it. Just a little delay in the final delivery."

Elite Quality Smart Trainer

"This is my second TACX trainer. The first still functions perfectly with 6,000 miles but it would not accept thru axle . I purchased a new aero frame canyon and had to upgrade to the second generation TACX. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase from Recovery for Athletes. Great price and fast shipping."

— BARRY V. (5/5)

Indoor riding made silent

"I upgraded from an indoor trainer I've got during 2020 that was noisy and sincerely compared to this not as responsive. Got this trainer with the rocking plates and the road feeling is amazing only good things after using three times a week for about a month. Connects perfect to ROUVY and zwift, very realistic downhill feeling and burning uphill, true to speed and self calibration. Happy surprise that can be used without power and/or computer as a static trainer, haven't tested it yet but some warm-ups could be easier now. Only thing is that does not have a handle, and while not heavy is bulky, a minor annoyance not worth any star discount. Excellent experience getting this trainer with the FSA doctor letter, absolutely seamless."

— Leopoldo R. (5/5)

Awesome trainer

"I have no basis to compare but this trainer is fantastic. Quiet, responsive and simply works."

— Dan S. (5/5)

— Daniel O. (5/5)
