Homecraft Apex Mini Electric 6/7.5/9kW 240V Sauna Heater Package

The Homecraft Apex Mini Electric 6/7.5/9kW 240V Sauna Heater Package is a compact sauna heater package: the heater, a touchpad control, a matched contactor box and five boxes of sauna stones. The Apex Mini is a 14 in. round stainless heater, 32 in. tall on adjustable legs, with a protected element air chamber inside. Three sizes cover small and mid-size rooms from 200 to 450 cu ft on 240V single-phase. With heater, control, contactor and stones in one order, the package covers everything but the wiring.

The touchpad sets the temperature and session timer from the wall, and the WiFi version adds control from a phone app. The contactor box switches power between your panel and the heater and is matched to the wattage you pick, in an indoor build or a weatherproof one. The Apex Mini is made in Canada and approved to CSA and UL standards.

Apex Mini

How it works

The Apex Mini keeps its elements shielded inside a small round heater with a tight footprint.

Protected element air chamber
The Apex Mini uses the full-size Apex's protected element design: the heating elements sit inside a protected air chamber, out of the way of the rock.

A smaller footprint
At 32 in. tall on adjustable legs, the Apex Mini is Homecraft's compact option for small and mid-size rooms. It needs 3.5 in. to combustibles and at least 45 in. to the ceiling.

Frequently asked questions

The Apex Mini electric sauna heater, a regular or WiFi touchpad control, a Homecraft contactor box matched to your wattage, five boxes of Homecraft olivine sauna stones, and the installation and operation manual. The installation trim kit is a separate accessory.
The 6 kW heats rooms of 200 to 325 cu ft, the 7.5 kW suits 250 to 370 cu ft, and the 9 kW covers 325 to 450 cu ft. Multiply the room's length, width and height in feet to get its volume.
All three run on 240V single-phase with 8 AWG wire. The 6 kW and 7.5 kW take a 40 amp breaker and the 9 kW a 50 amp breaker, hardwired by a licensed electrician.
Choose the indoor contactor when the box will be mounted in a dry, protected space. Choose the outdoor (weatherproof) contactor for an exposed or damp spot, such as on an outdoor or barrel sauna.
The WiFi touchpad adds control from a phone app, so you can start pre-heating before you get home. The regular touchpad runs the same temperature, on and off and timer functions from the wall.
It is 14 in. across and 32 in. tall, with 3.5 in. to combustible surfaces and at least 45 in. to the ceiling. A heat shield is recommended for ceilings of 78 to 84 in.
Homecraft sauna rocks 3 to 6 in. across, and the package includes five boxes of Homecraft olivine stones.
Homecraft backs the heater with a 2-year warranty for residential use and 1 year for commercial use, on heaters used according to the manual. Heating elements count as consumable parts and are not covered, and neither is normal wear, careless damage, incorrect installation or tampering.
