Inergize Health

Inergize Spire Cold Plunge

The Spire is sold in two setups and you pick one from the dropdown. With Chiller ships the tub, the steps, the insulated lid and the chiller unit that sets and holds the water temperature. Tub Only ships the same tub, the same steps and the same lid, with no chiller in the crate. A Tub Only Spire holds whatever water you put in it at whatever temperature you put it in at, and holds no temperature of its own. Every temperature, filtration, ozone and app-control figure on this page belongs to the With Chiller setup, and is labelled that way each time it appears.

The vessel is identical either way. A 316 marine-grade stainless interior sits inside a shell of sustainably sourced, wax-coated red cedar, with 2 in of bonded insulation on the steel surfaces. The seat is 12 in across, contoured, molded into the shell and angled back 10° from vertical, with 27 in of torso depth above it and 31 in of legroom below. Inergize publishes a fit range of 6'4" neck-deep and 7 ft chest-deep, puts capacity at 120 gallons, and calls the footprint roughly 5 ft. It arrives assembled, and Inergize puts setup at about thirty minutes with no tools.

What Changes Between the Setups, and What Never Does

The chiller is the only difference between the two setups. Everything you sit in and step on is the same unit either way. Here is what Inergize publishes on each side of that line.

Choose Your Setup
With Chiller adds the all-in-one chiller unit that stands beside the tub. Tub Only leaves it out and ships the tub, steps and lid alone, with no way to cool or heat the water. The tub, the steps and the lid are the same in both. If you want a plunge that reaches a set temperature, With Chiller is the setup that does it.

With Chiller: 37°F Cold, 104°F Hot
On the With Chiller setup, one unit runs both directions: 37°F in cold plunge mode and 104°F in hot tub mode, switchable on the same hardware. The chiller also carries 4-way filtration, an ozone system and app control. None of this applies to Tub Only, which has no chiller and holds no temperature.

316 Stainless Inside, Red Cedar Outside
Water sits against 316 marine-grade stainless steel. Around it Inergize builds a shell of sustainably sourced, wax-coated red cedar, with 2 in of bonded insulation on the steel surfaces and a 3 in insulated lid on top. Inergize designs the Spire in Italy and builds it by hand. This is the same in both setups.

Seat and Fit

A 12 Inch Seat, Reclined 10 Degrees From Vertical

The Spire has a seat molded into the shell, 12 inches across and contoured, angled back 10° from vertical. You sit on it with your back against the wall and your legs extended down into the well. Inergize gives the two measurements that decide whether that geometry works for your body: 27 in of torso depth from the seat up, and 31 in of legroom below it. Those two figures set the fit range Inergize publishes, 6'4" neck-deep and 7 ft chest-deep. The seat, the depth and the legroom are the same on both setups, since the tub itself is one build.

  • Both setups: 12 in contoured seat, molded into the shell
  • Both setups: 10° recline from vertical, seat angled back into the wall
  • Both setups: 27 in torso depth measured from the seat
  • Both setups: 31 in legroom below the seat
  • Both setups: Inergize's published fit range, 6'4" neck-deep and 7 ft chest-deep
  • Both setups: capacity 120 gallons, per Inergize

Materials and Entry

Marine-Grade Stainless Wrapped in Red Cedar

Water sits against 316 marine-grade stainless steel, the alloy specified for marine hardware because of how it handles salt and chemistry. Around it Inergize builds a shell of sustainably sourced red cedar, wax-coated and assembled by hand, with 2 in of bonded insulation on the steel surfaces. The steps use the same two materials: three cedar treads on a 316 stainless frame, finished with anti-slip EVA grip mats, so you keep three points of contact from the ground outside the tub down to the seat. The lid closes the top with 3 in of insulated foam, dual Velcro secure straps, built-in handles and a 10 in windproof skirt over the rim. Inergize's dimension drawing puts the tub at 29 in wide, 61.56 in across including the steps, and 44 in tall. All of this ships in both setups.

  • Both setups: 316 marine-grade stainless steel interior
  • Both setups: sustainably sourced, wax-coated red cedar exterior
  • Both setups: 2 in bonded insulation on the steel surfaces
  • Both setups: three cedar treads on a 316 stainless frame with anti-slip EVA grip mats
  • Both setups: 3 in insulated foam lid, all-weather, dual Velcro straps, handles, 10 in windproof skirt
  • Both setups: 29 in wide, 61.56 in across with the steps, 44 in tall, from Inergize's dimension drawing

One Tub, Two Crates: With Chiller or Tub Only

With Chiller is the setup that makes cold water. It adds an all-in-one chiller unit that stands beside the tub and runs the water to 37°F in cold plunge mode or 104°F in hot tub mode, with 4-way filtration, an ozone system and app control on the same unit. Inergize supplies it with as much as 6 ft of insulated reinforced braided hose and caster wheels, so one person can roll it into position on any side of the tub. Tub Only is the same tub, steps and lid with the chiller left out. It has no cooling, no heating, no filtration, no ozone and no app, and the water inside it sits at whatever temperature you fill it to. Choose Tub Only when you already know how you plan to handle the water yourself.

  • With Chiller ships: tub, steps, lid and the chiller unit
  • Tub Only ships: tub, steps and lid, with no chiller
  • With Chiller only: 37°F cold plunge mode and 104°F hot tub mode, one switchable unit
  • With Chiller only: 4-way filtration and an ozone system
  • With Chiller only: app control, per Inergize's own smart control section
  • With Chiller only: 6 ft of insulated reinforced braided hose and caster wheels for placement
  • With Chiller only: combined footprints from Inergize's two layout drawings, balanced roughly 76 in by 50 in and lateral roughly 97 in by 28 in
  • Tub Only: holds no temperature of its own
With Chiller: 37°F to 104°F With Chiller: 4-way filtration With Chiller: app controlled Tub Only: no chiller

Two Inergize Tubs

Spire, or the Inergize Cold Plunge Tub

Inergize builds these in two different shapes, and each one suits a different room. The Spire is the cedar-and-stainless seated build, sold here in two setups so you decide whether the chiller comes with it. The Inergize Cold Plunge Tub is the portable modular one, 30 in deep, with hot and cold function. Read what separates them and pick the shape that fits how you want to use it.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The chiller, and nothing else. With Chiller ships the tub, the steps, the insulated lid and the chiller unit that sets and holds the water temperature. Tub Only ships the same tub, the same steps and the same lid, with no chiller. Cedar, 316 stainless, the 12 in seat, the 10° recline, the 27 in torso depth, the 31 in legroom and the 3 in lid are identical in both.
No. Tub Only holds no temperature of its own. It is an insulated vessel that keeps the water you put in it at whatever temperature you put it in at, and it has no cooling, no heating, no filtration, no ozone and no app. If you want a plunge that reaches and holds a set temperature, choose With Chiller. This is the single most common misunderstanding on this product, so please read it before you order.
On the With Chiller setup, Inergize publishes 37°F in cold plunge mode and 104°F in hot tub mode, from one switchable unit. That is the range of the equipment. We publish no recommended temperature, duration or frequency for using it, and neither figure applies to the Tub Only setup.
On the With Chiller setup the same unit carries 4-way filtration, an ozone system and app control. Inergize describes the filtration as keeping water clean for months; that is their claim and their wording. Inergize does not publish an ozone output figure we can quote, so we quote none. All three belong to the chiller, which means the Tub Only setup has none of them.
Nothing in the Tub Only crate prepares the water, and nothing in it can be switched on later to do so. If a chiller is in your plan at all, the straightforward route is to order the With Chiller setup up front. If you have a reason to start with the tub alone, contact us first and we will confirm current chiller availability with Inergize in writing before you place the order.
Inergize publishes a fit range of 6'4" neck-deep and 7 ft chest-deep. The measurements behind that are 27 in of torso depth above the seat and 31 in of legroom below it, on a 12 in contoured seat angled back 10° from vertical. If you are near either end of that range, measure your seated torso height against the 27 in figure before you order. The geometry is the same on both setups.
Through a three-step entry made of cedar treads on a 316 stainless steel frame, with anti-slip EVA grip mats on the treads. Inergize builds it so you keep three points of contact from the ground outside the tub the whole way down to the seat. The steps are included in both setups.
A 316 marine-grade stainless steel interior inside a shell of sustainably sourced, wax-coated red cedar, with 2 in of bonded insulation on the steel surfaces. The lid is 3 in of insulated foam, rated all-weather, secured with dual Velcro straps, carrying built-in handles and a 10 in windproof skirt that drops over the rim. Inergize designs the Spire in Italy and builds it by hand. Both setups get all of it.
Inergize publishes 120 gallons, and that figure applies to both setups since the tub is one build. If floor loading matters where you are placing it, work from 120 gallons of water plus the weight of the tub and ask us for the shipping weight before you commit to a location.
The tub itself is roughly a 5 ft footprint, and Inergize's dimension drawing reads 29 in wide, 61.56 in across including the steps, and 44 in tall. On the With Chiller setup you also have to place the chiller, and Inergize's two layout drawings give a balanced arrangement of roughly 76 in by 50 in and a lateral arrangement of roughly 97 in by 28 in. The chiller connects on as much as 6 ft of hose and rolls on casters, so either side of the tub works.
Inergize rates the Spire for indoor and outdoor use. The cedar is wax-coated, the interior and the step frame are 316 marine-grade stainless, and the lid is all-weather with the windproof skirt. If you are placing it outside, talk to us about siting, drainage and, on the With Chiller setup, where the power reaches, before delivery day.
It arrives assembled. Inergize puts setup at about thirty minutes with no tools. On the With Chiller setup that covers positioning the tub and steps, connecting the chiller hoses, filling from a garden hose and plugging in. On Tub Only there are no hoses and no power, so you are positioning the tub, setting the steps and filling it.
As crated curbside freight, free within the contiguous US, scheduled with you and dropped at the curb of the address on your order. Inergize is explicit that moving the tank off the pallet and to its final location on the property is the customer's responsibility. Plan for more than one person, a clear route and something to roll it on, and measure gates, doorways and turns against the 29 in width first.
Yes. Talk with a qualified health professional about cold-water immersion before you begin, and follow their guidance on how you use it. We sell the equipment and leave that advice to them.
