Jugs Small Ball 5" - Dozen

The Jugs Small Ball 5" - Dozen is a 5 in., 0.5 oz. polyurethane foam training ball, half the size of a standard baseball, in white or high-visibility yellow. A hitter who can track something that small from release point to impact zone finds a regulation ball easy to see. Hitting it demands extra concentration, and the drill builds that focus.

The half-ounce weight takes the fear factor out of the box, and a young hitter without that fear keeps the head still and the eyes level long enough to build depth perception. Swings get more aggressive and attention moves to mechanics. It suits hand-eye work and quick-bat drills, and the foam is safe in a garage, a batting cage or on the field. It is made for the Jugs Small-Ball Pitching Machine, which fires it at close range in a small space; the Jugs Lite-Flite and Small-Ball Battery Pack runs that machine where there is no outlet.
