Jugs Sting-Free Maximum Velocity Light-Weight Dimple Baseball - Dozen

The Jugs Sting-Free Maximum Velocity Light-Weight Dimple Baseball - Dozen is a light-weight dimpled practice baseball that lets a machine show hitters game speed. It is a 9 in. ball that weighs 3.5 oz. against the 5 oz. of a regulation baseball. The lighter ball adds up to 5 mph to batting practice in the 80 mph and higher range. It is orange, sold by the dozen or by the 48-ball bucket.

The cover is dimpled, the same as the standard Sting-Free machine ball, so it feeds and releases the same way. The light-weight Sting-Free formula keeps it from stinging hands even at those higher machine speeds, and it will not damage bats. It also suits batting practice for wood bat leagues, and the bright orange makes tracking and reaction drills easier to run. For regulation 5 oz. batting practice, the Sting-Free Dimple Ball Baseball is the same cover at full weight. The Jugs Lite-Flite Pitching Machine throws this ball.
