NOHRD Bike Pro Indoor Cycle

The NOHRD Bike Pro is the longer, commercial-specification version of the NOHrD wooden indoor cycle, built on a 153 x 113 x 60 cm frame weighing 62 kg (137 lb) and rated for a user up to 200 kg (441 lb). A touchscreen built into the bike itself runs the NOHRD Bike software, with no tablet and no bracket involved, showing workout and performance data on screen and passing it off the bike by USB transfer. Resistance comes from eddy current braking, adjusted continuously by a turning motion, with a 5.5 kg flywheel driven at a ratio of 1:8.

Seat height adjusts from 90 cm to 112 cm, which is 22 cm of range on one frame and the figure that matters when a studio puts a mixed roster of riders on the same bike through a day. The saddle sits on the same universal bracket the rest of the NOHrD bike line uses, so the Brooks leather saddle, the comfort saddle and the saddle mount XL all fit. Everything above the frame is where the Pro separates itself. The touchscreen is built into the bike itself, runs the NOHRD Bike software and moves its data off the machine by USB, which is the arrangement a commercial floor wants.

The touchscreen is built into the bike and runs the NOHRD Bike software, displaying workout and performance data while the rider is on it. That data transfers by USB, so a studio can take a session off the machine without putting the bike on a network or asking a member to pair a phone first. A screen this size also reads clearly from the saddle at arm's length, which is the distance a rider actually sits from it. The console is part of the bike itself, with no tablet and no bracket involved.

Seat Height Covers 22 Centimeters

Seat height runs from 90 cm to 112 cm on the Pro, a 22 cm span on a single frame. A studio bike is sized several times a day for riders of different heights, so the range between the lowest and highest saddle position is a working figure and not a line on a spec sheet. The saddle sits on the universal NOHrD bracket, which takes the Brooks leather saddle, the comfort saddle and the saddle mount XL in place of the original. Set the height once per rider and the rest of the fit follows from the handlebar hold.

One Continuous Turn Through the Range

Braking is eddy current, applied magnetically with nothing in contact with the flywheel, and it is adjusted by a continuous turning motion. Nothing wears against the wheel, so there is no pad to replace and no tension to reset between services. The 5.5 kg flywheel is driven at a ratio of 1:8, the same wheel and gearing the Bike V2 carries. Riders used to numbered levels find a continuous adjustment lets them settle on a load between two steps.

The Pro's frame is 153 cm long, 113 cm tall and 60 cm wide, and the bike weighs 62 kg. It is 36 cm longer than the Bike V2 and 2 kg heavier, which is the physical difference between the two models before the console is considered. Three crates, a socket and a 153 cm run of floor are what a Bike Pro asks for on delivery day. Assembly comes out of those crates, the frame is rated for a rider up to 200 kg, the touchscreen console needs a power connection to run, and NOHrD backs the bike for one year from the date of shipment with a second year available on registration inside that first year.

Six Woods Across One Commercial Frame

NOHrD sources solid wood from renewable stocks in the USA and Germany and works with smooth, chamber-dried heartwood, then oils the finished components against dirt and stains. Oak is the golden-brown wood most buyers picture, with a smooth even grain and colorful rays running through it. Vintage is a real wood veneer carrying an aged character finish. Club takes the same rung of the ladder as Vintage and costs what Vintage costs on almost every piece NOHrD builds. Shadow is the black-stained real wood veneered panel that opens the range. Cherry runs light yellow to reddish brown with a smooth, even texture, and Walnut is the dark, lively grain at the top of the ladder, the dearest of the six on every piece NOHrD builds. A commercial floor usually picks Shadow or Oak for wear; a home gym is where Cherry and Walnut earn the upcharge.

The Bike Pro arrives in three packages and is assembled where it is going to be ridden, so the room decision is made before delivery and not after. A power connection is required, which rules out the far corner of a garage or a garden room with no wiring, and it is the single install condition that catches buyers out most often on this model. Allow 153 cm of floor length plus clearance on either side to get on and off, and two people for the final lift.
