PLAE SLAT Treadmill

The PLAE SLAT Treadmill is a motorized slat belt treadmill for athletes and training floors, with a sled mode that replaces a separate sled and turf track. Its running surface is rubber slats on a continuous track. Each slat absorbs impact on its own, for a natural, road-like feel with lower impact. Tread mode runs from 0.5 to 15.6 mph on inclines up to 20%. Sled mode puts you against the belt across 15 resistance levels and inclines up to 15%. It carries runners up to 400 lb on a 58 x 22 in. surface.

The console is stripped back to what a session needs, with a red safety key and twin cup holders, so you can step on and go.

Inside the SLAT

How it works

Slats that absorb impact
Individual rubber slats ride on a continuous track and take each landing on their own. The result is a forgiving surface with the give of road or track running.
Rubber slats
Fewer moving parts
A slat belt has fewer moving parts than a woven belt stretched over rollers. That cuts maintenance and keeps operating costs down under heavy commercial use.
Low upkeep

Built around the athlete

Key features

Coach-friendly frame
Open sight lines to watch form
Stable side platforms
Secure landings for sprints and drills
Controls within reach

Tread mode

Run from a walk to a sprint

Tread mode takes you from a walk to a sprint, with incline set in fine steps so a hill can match the exact grade you want.

  • Speed: 0.5 to 15.6 mph (0.8 to 25 km/h)
  • Incline: 0 to 20%, 201 levels
  • Running surface: 58 x 22 in. (147 x 56 cm)

Sled mode

Push the belt like a sled

Switch to sled mode and the motor works against you, recreating a weighted sled push. Every rep is consistent and measurable, giving coaches precise control over load.

  • Resistance: 0 to 15 levels
  • Incline: 0 to 15%, 101 levels
  • Over 400 watts of resistance at 1.8 mph (3 km/h)

Frequently asked questions

A slat belt has fewer moving parts, which lowers maintenance costs and holds up longer under heavy use. It also gives a smoother, more natural run with less vibration.
Yes. Sled mode delivers over 400 watts of motorized resistance at speeds as low as 1.8 mph, replicating a weighted sled push without a sled, plates or turf.
It needs 120V, 50/60Hz power on an 18 amp circuit and is fitted with a NEMA 5-20 plug.
It can be up and running in under 45 minutes.
400 lb.
It is 62 in. long, 33 in. wide and 71 in. tall (157 x 85 x 180 cm), and it weighs 530 lb (241 kg).
Wipe it with mild soap on a damp cloth until clean and dry. Skip abrasive cloths, paper towels and any cleaner containing alcohol or ammonia.
Clean the slat surface regularly, check and lubricate the motor and belt when needed, inspect the frame for wear, and check the power connections.
The SLAT is motorized, with set speeds, incline and sled mode for volume running and sled work. The ARC is a self-powered curved treadmill where the runner sets the pace, built for sprints.
PLAE backs the SLAT with 5 years on the frame, 3 years on the motor, 3 years on parts and drive, 1 year on labor and 3 months on wear items.
