Stair Stepper
Climbing loads the glutes, thighs and calves harder than walking on the flat, and the SC1 fits that stepping motion into 31.9 by 19.7 inches of floor. The handlebars pull the upper body into the work, so a session builds leg drive and cardio at once — without the landing impact that running adds to the same muscles.
The frame is alloy steel arranged in a triangular structure that stays planted through high-intensity stepping, and it is rated to 243 lb. The LCD counts steps, time and calories while you work. When you are finished, two knobs release the frame to fold, and at 30.9 lb one person moves it into a corner.
The Build
A stepper lives or dies on whether it holds still under load and whether it fits your body. The SC1 answers both, then folds.
Why Athletes Choose This
Built For Training
The stepping motion drives through glutes, thighs, calves and core, and because your feet never leave the pedals there is no landing force running back up the chain. That is what makes a stepper useful on the days between hard lower-body sessions: you keep the cardio volume and the leg work without adding impact. Pulling on the handlebars brings the upper body into the effort, so the whole body is working rather than the legs alone.
Compact steppers earn a reputation for wobbling, and the fix is geometry rather than mass. The SC1 uses a triangular frame in alloy steel with steel cable construction carrying the load, which is what keeps it planted when you step hard rather than tipping. Textured non-slip footplates hold your shoes in place at the same time, so the machine and your feet both stay where you put them.
Folding is the whole reason a machine this size stays in a home gym. Loosen the two adjustment knobs and the SC1 folds down for storage in a corner. In use it stands 31.9" x 19.7" x 49.2", and at 30.9 lb net it is light enough to reposition without a second pair of hands. Assembly takes about 20 minutes out of the box, with the tools included.
