BioLight Adapt System

Every other device BioLight builds ships with its wavelengths fixed at the factory. On the Adapt System you name them. BioLight publishes two wavelength windows here, 620-750nm for red and 800-1,000nm for near-infrared, and asks you to state your preferred figure from each range in a note on the order or by email before the unit is built. One wavelength from each spectrum, or several. That choice is what this system sells.

It is two pieces of hardware. The Adapt Table measures 75 in. x 27 in. x 7.7 in., carries 1000 LEDs, takes up to 600 lbs of load, and BioLight quotes it at 80 mW/cm2 at 0 in. at 100% intensity. The Adapt Panel measures 75 in. x 25 in. x 4 in., carries its own 1000 LEDs, rotates a full 360 degrees, sits on a powered mobile stand that changes its height, and BioLight quotes it at 80 mW/cm2 at 6 in. at 100%. The two figures read identically and are not the same statement, because BioLight measured one at the surface and the other six inches back. Both units run light pulsing from 1 to 9,999 Hz, three light settings, intensity from 1 to 100% and a programmable timer. BioLight sells them as a pair or as Table Only and Panel Only.

The optical build

Two Spectra, Two Units, One Order Form

Red and near-infrared are two bands of the same spectrum, separated by where they sit in nanometres. On this system BioLight hands both bands to the buyer as a range to pick from, then builds the table and the panel around the figures you give.

Red 620-750nm, Near-Infrared 800-1,000nm
Wavelength is measured in nanometres, and the number decides what the light is. Anything from roughly 620 to 750nm is visible red, the deep end of what an eye registers. Anything from 800 to 1,000nm is near-infrared, past the visible band, so an emitter running only near-infrared looks close to dark while it is on. BioLight publishes both of those windows for the Adapt System and lets you choose one or several wavelengths from each. No fixed nm figure is printed for this product, because the number is yours to set.

The Adapt Table

The Adapt Panel
A 75 in. x 25 in. x 4 in. panel with its own 1000 LEDs at 206 lbs, mounted on a powered mobile stand whose height adjusts, and free to rotate 360 degrees to whatever angle you set. BioLight publishes a full intensity ladder for it, all measured at 6 in.: 80 mW/cm2 at 100%, 66 at 75%, 49 at 50%, 24 at 25% and 15 at 1%.

Power, Flicker and EMF
Each unit draws 1450W and takes 100-240VAC at 50/60Hz, so the same hardware runs on North American and international supply. BioLight publishes light flicker at 1.2% modulation at 60Hz and EMF emission at 0.1 microtesla at 0 in. on both the table and the panel, and states that at 6 in. and beyond the EMF reading is close to zero. LED lifespan is given as 100,000 hours.

The table is 75 in. long, 27 in. across and 7.7 in. deep, weighs 202 lbs and takes 600 lbs of load. Its 1000 LEDs run at whatever red and near-infrared wavelengths you specified at order. Intensity is set by hand from a knob on the side, anywhere from 1 to 100%, and the same controls choose between the three light settings and set the session length on the programmable timer. BioLight's stated irradiance for the table is 80 mW/cm2 at 0 in. at full intensity, a contact-distance figure.

The panel is 75 in. x 25 in. x 4 in. and 206 lbs, on a powered mobile stand that raises and lowers it, and it turns a full 360 degrees so the face can be angled where you want it. It is the only half of this system BioLight quotes at a working distance: 80 mW/cm2 at 6 in. at 100% intensity, 66 mW/cm2 at 75%, 49 at 50%, 24 at 25% and 15 at 1%. Same 1000 LEDs, same 1 to 9,999 Hz pulsing, same three light settings, same 1450W draw as the table.

Three Ways to Buy It, and the Note You Send With the Order

BioLight offers the Adapt System as the pair, or as Adapt Table Only, or as Adapt Panel Only, under one option list. The two halves are separate units with their own dimensions, weights and irradiance figures, and each draws its own 1450W. Whichever configuration you take, the wavelengths are set by you: BioLight asks for a note on the order, or an email to their team, naming your preferred red wavelength between 620 and 750nm and your preferred near-infrared wavelength between 800 and 1,000nm. You can name more than one from each range.

BioLight publishes two windows to choose from: 620-750nm for red and 800-1,000nm for near-infrared. You choose. BioLight asks buyers to add a note to the order, or email their team, naming the preferred red wavelength and the preferred near-infrared wavelength, and states you can pick one or multiple wavelengths from each spectrum. No single nm figure is printed for this product anywhere on BioLight's page, and we have not substituted one.
They are two separate units and three ways to buy. The Adapt Table is 75 in. x 27 in. x 7.7 in., 202 lbs, 1000 LEDs, rated for 600 lbs of load. The Adapt Panel is 75 in. x 25 in. x 4 in., 206 lbs, its own 1000 LEDs, on a powered mobile stand that rotates 360 degrees. Adapt System is both together. Table Only and Panel Only are each half on its own.
Because BioLight measured the two units differently. The table's 80 mW/cm2 is stated at 0 in., meaning at the surface. The panel's 80 mW/cm2 is stated at 6 in., six inches back from the face. An irradiance figure only means something with the distance attached, and these two are not the same statement even though the number matches. Both are BioLight's own published figures and we have printed each with the distance BioLight gave it.
Measured at 6 in., BioLight publishes 80 mW/cm2 at 100% intensity, 66 mW/cm2 at 75%, 49 mW/cm2 at 50%, 24 mW/cm2 at 25% and 15 mW/cm2 at 1%. BioLight publishes no equivalent ladder for the table, only the single 80 mW/cm2 at 0 in. figure at 100%.

Red and near-infrared together, red only, or near-infrared only. Both units carry the same three. Because near-infrared sits past the visible band, the near-infrared-only setting looks close to dark while it is running.
The table is 75 in. x 27 in. x 7.7 in. at 202 lbs. The panel is 75 in. x 25 in. x 4 in. at 206 lbs, plus its powered mobile stand. Maximum load on the table is 600 lbs. BioLight does not publish shipped dimensions or shipped weight for either unit, so plan the delivery route with us before the crate arrives.
Each unit draws 1450W and accepts 100-240VAC at 50/60Hz, which BioLight states covers both US and Canadian supply and international supply. If you run the table and the panel together, budget for both draws. BioLight does not publish a plug type.
Light flicker is given as 1.2% modulation at 60Hz on both units. EMF emission is given as 0.1 microtesla at 0 in. on both, and BioLight adds that at 6 in. and beyond the reading is close to zero. For scale, BioLight's own footnote lists roughly 2000 microtesla near a hairdryer or electric shaver, 800 near a vacuum cleaner and 50 near a washing machine or television.
BioLight publishes a 5 year warranty and a 60 day return period for the Adapt System, and rates the LEDs at 100,000 hours. That is the longest warranty BioLight states on any device in this range.
BioLight does not publish a package contents list for either the Adapt Table or the Adapt Panel. Every other panel in their range has one; this page has none. Ask us to confirm the crate contents with BioLight before you order, and we will get it in writing.
BioLight states 10 to 20 minutes per session and suggests 3 to 5 times per week, or daily in a professional routine. Both units carry a programmable timer, so the duration is set on the device and runs itself out. That guidance is BioLight's own.
