BioLight Arc System

The Arc System is BioLight's full-body light platform, and it is the one device in their range where the specification sheet is mostly blank. What BioLight publishes is short and we have printed all of it: red and near-infrared light modes, a full-body format, adjustable brightness, adjustable pulsing frequencies, an integrated heating function, remote control, an input that accepts either 110V or 220V, and a session length of 10 to 20 minutes used 3 to 5 times a week.

What BioLight does not publish is longer. No wavelength in nanometres. No irradiance figure, at any distance. No LED count. No dimensions, no weight, no power draw, no plug type, no LED lifespan, no package contents and no warranty length. We could fill those rows by borrowing figures from the Adapt System or from a BioLight panel, and every one of them would be invented. So the rows stay empty on this page and the gaps are named out loud below. If a number on that missing list decides your purchase, ask us and we will put the question to BioLight in writing before you order.

Reading a Specification Sheet by Its Gaps

A light device is described by four numbers: the wavelengths it emits, how many emitters it carries, how much power lands on a surface at a stated distance, and how fast it can pulse. BioLight publishes none of the four for the Arc System. Here is what they do publish, and what the absence of the rest means for a buyer.

The Four Rows That Are Blank
BioLight describes the light modes only as red, near-infrared and additional supported wavelength options, with no nanometre figure attached to any of them. LED count is absent. Irradiance is absent, at 0 in., at 6 in. or at any distance. Pulsing is called adjustable with no Hz range. Every other device BioLight sells carries at least the wavelengths and a count; this one carries neither, and we have not filled the gap from a sibling product.

It means the platform can be installed on North American supply or on the 220V supply used across much of the rest of the world. Power draw in watts is not published, and neither is a plug type, so the circuit it needs has to be confirmed with BioLight before an install is planned.

BioLight positions the Arc System as a single integrated platform: a full-body, large-format light delivery format with red and near-infrared modes, brightness and pulsing frequency both adjustable, a heating function built in, and an intelligent management system operated by remote. Session guidance is 10 to 20 minutes, 3 to 5 times a week. Those are the operating characteristics BioLight commits to in writing, and they are the ones we have repeated here.

This is a capital purchase for a professional room, and the specification behind it is thin. We would rather say so on the product page than paper over it. Below is the list of figures BioLight has not published for the Arc System. Frequently Asked Questions

BioLight does not publish one. Their specification lists the light modes as red, near-infrared and additional supported wavelength options, with no nanometre figure attached to any of them. Most BioLight devices run 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared, but that figure belongs to those products and we are not going to transfer it here. If the exact wavelengths matter to you, ask us to get them from BioLight in writing.
Not published. No mW/cm2 figure appears anywhere on BioLight's page for this device, at 0 in., at 6 in. or at any other distance. An irradiance figure without a measurement distance means nothing, and an irradiance figure lifted from a different product means less. So there is no number on this page.
Not published. BioLight gives an LED count for most of their range, from 18 on the smallest handheld to 3600 in the Cocoon pod. For the Arc System they give none, and no LED type or chip configuration either.
BioLight states that the pulsing frequency is adjustable and stops there. No Hz range is published, no minimum, no maximum and no preset modes. The same applies to brightness: BioLight says adjustable, with no percentage range and no number of steps.
BioLight publishes voltage compatibility as 110V or 220V. That is the entire electrical specification on the page. Power draw in watts is not published and neither is a plug type, so the circuit and outlet need to be confirmed with BioLight before an electrician is booked.
Neither is published. No assembled dimensions, no shipped dimensions, no assembled weight, no shipped weight. For a full-body platform going into a professional room, those figures decide whether the room works, so get them from us in writing before you commit to a space.
BioLight publishes no warranty length for the Arc System. Their Adapt System carries a stated 5 year warranty and their panels and pod carry a stated 3 years, but nothing is stated for this device, and no return window or LED lifespan is stated either. We will not quote a term BioLight has not put in writing. Ask us and we will request it directly.
BioLight states that heating is integrated into the platform, which makes the Arc System the only device in their range that heats. Beyond that, no temperature, no temperature range and no control detail is published, so we cannot tell you how warm it runs or how the heat is set.
Not published. There is no package contents section on BioLight's page. Their panels list eyewear, a manual and an ebook; nothing equivalent exists for the Arc System. Whether protective eyewear is included is one of the questions we would put to BioLight for you.
