Full-Body Red & Near-Infrared
The Elevate emits 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared light at a 1:1 near-infrared to red ratio, adjustable up to a maximum of 149 mW/cm² at the surface. Those two numbers are what separate this pod from the HEALiX Glow Pod already on our shelf, which runs 4:1 red to near-infrared and adjusts up to 101 mW/cm².
The light comes from 2,680 bulbs carrying four chips each, 10,720 LED chips in total. The pod measures 71" × 32" × 12", weighs 25 lbs, and folds down when you are finished. It lies flat on a bed, a sofa or the floor, and both ends stay open. HEALiX sets a session at 20 to 25 minutes on the programmable timer.
The Hardware
Every figure below is HEALiX's published specification for the Elevate. We have printed the mechanism and left the outcomes to them.
Why Athletes Choose This
HEALiX's own material attaches therapeutic outcomes to red and near-infrared light. Recovery For Athletes makes no such claim. What follows is the pod as a piece of equipment: its size, its settings, its materials and its terms.
A Closer Look
The digital controller handles intensity, strobe frequency and session length. Peak output is 149 mW/cm² at the surface and every step below that is available, so you can start low and work up over your first few weeks with the pod.
2,680 bulbs line the pod, four chips to a bulb. Half the output is 660nm red and half is 850nm near-infrared, which is the 1:1 near-infrared to red ratio in HEALiX's specification. The 24V system draws 350W at full power.
The pod is cushioned and padded inside a medical-grade non-toxic TPU liner that is free of BPA, BPS and BPF. Setup is unfolding it on a flat surface, powering it on and choosing your settings. Both ends stay open, so your head and feet are never enclosed.
Glow Pod or Elevate
Both pods emit 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared and both fold flat. The split between the two wavelengths and the irradiance ceiling are where they part company, and that is the choice in front of you.
