Free Delivery Damage Insurance Included With Purchase

 Curbside Delivery ships via Freight to the 48 contiguous states. The freight carrier will contact you 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery to set a delivery day and time Monday-Friday, with a 4-hour open window.

      They won’t deliver without speaking to you first. **Shipping times are only approximate, and can change depending on environmental conditions, transit issues, and carrier’s availability. Last minute appointments can occur, and it’s out of our hands since the delivery process is managed by the carrier’s. The sauna will be delivered in 1 box or more, depending on the model. All boxes will be strapped to a pallet. All saunas are delivered in a 53-foot semi-truck with a single driver, who will unload the pallet to your curbside or driveway only. Any delivery questions or issues (remote areas, long driveways, large and low hanging trees, apartment complex, stairs, etc.) should be addressed with us prior to shipping your sauna.

        Once the driver has unloaded the sauna, we ask that you immediately inspect the boxes for any damage. Please indicate any minor scratches, indentations, or scuff marks to the outside of the boxes on the delivery receipt. You do not need to open the boxes to inspect the sauna. The freight company will deliver your sauna to a carport or first-floor entryway. Please check the box dimensions and ensure it will fit through your doorway. Assembly on these saunas are surprisingly easy and can take between 30-45 minutes, depending on the sauna. Assembly instructions are included with the saunas.

In the USA the “lifetime” of an infrared sauna is considered 7 years. Many sauna brands offering a “lifetime warranty” know this and use it against you after 7 years of ownership. Your Finnmark Design’s sauna comes with a 10-year warranty, giving you piece of mind that after 7 years you are still covered.

Unconditional Lifetime Warranty

Spectrum Plus™  infrared heaters (UL Listed) have an estimated operational life of 40,000 hours and our carbon 360 heaters have an estimated operational life of 30,000 hours. Using your sauna 5 times per week your Spectrum heaters can last up to 130 years. 

Our Spectrum Plus™ Incoloy heaters have a unconditional lifetime warranty. No other sauna brand is that confident in their heating elements.

Finnmark FD-7 4-Person Thermo-Aspen Combination Outdoor Barrel Sauna

The FD-7 is Finnmark's pale barrel — a thermally modified European aspen shell wrapped around Canadian cedar seating. It seats four in 135 cubic feet, over an interior of 66 by 72 by 71 inches, and it heats two ways: five infrared panels built into the cabin, plus a traditional rock heater specified separately. The ceiling is 185°F once the rocks are in play, 170°F on infrared by itself.

Finnmark's account of the aspen is a treatment of heat and steam with no chemicals in it, done for improved durability and moisture resistance. Their claim for the finished timber is that it will not rot, warp, decay or chip. The benches and backrest are a different wood entirely: clear grade Western Canadian Cedar, which Finnmark describe as naturally antimicrobial.

The Build

Two Woods, Each Doing A Different Job

The FD-7 splits its timber. Heat-treated European aspen forms the shell that stands out in the weather; Canadian cedar forms the benches and backrest you sit against. The door and the heaters complete the specification.

The staves photograph pale — the shell is thermally modified European aspen, 1.5 inches thick. Finnmark's Thermal Plus™ process works the European aspen with heat and steam and nothing else — no chemicals go into it — and their labelled diagram for the FD-7 describes the wood as naturally heat-treated for improved durability and moisture resistance. Cedar On The Surfaces You Sit Against

Inside the aspen barrel, the seating switches wood. Benches and backrest are clear grade Western Canadian Cedar, the species Finnmark call naturally antimicrobial and resistant to mold, bacteria and fungus. There are two levels of it: an upper bench of 71 by 24 by 33.1 inches over a lower bench of 60.5 by 16 by 16.7, in an interior of 66 by 72 by 71 inches. Finnmark hold the two-tier combination layout as patent pending, and an RGB LED light runs beneath the bench.

1,750 Watts Off A 15-Amp Household Circuit

Open the front and the infrared half of the cabin is laid out in front of you. Five Spectrum Plus panels at 350 watts each add up to 1,750 watts, and the whole infrared system plugs into 120v 15a on a NEMA 5-15P plug with a nine-foot cord. Finnmark build the panels as UL Listed incoloy short-wave elements putting out mid and far infrared at .99 emissivity, and their claim for them is deep penetrating heat up to 25 times more than standard carbon panel heaters — a number Finnmark state without publishing how it was measured. The Wifi Controller 2.0 handles the cabin, the audio over Bluetooth and the lighting from one LCD panel.

The Rock Heater Is Yours To Specify

Water on hot stones is what takes this cabin to 185°F, and no rock heater ships with the FD-7. Finnmark leave the choice open on their own diagram, and three packages are offered on this page. The number to weigh them against is the cabin's room volume of 135 cubic feet. The Harvia KIP 4.5kW packages are listed for 100 to 210 cubic feet. The HUUM DROP 6.0kW package is listed for 177 to 353. The decision belongs to you and your electrician.

Line up the FD-6 and the FD-7 and the two specifications match each other all the way down: 135 cubic feet, the same two-tier cedar bench in the same sizes, the same 8mm glass and 26.3-inch door, the same three bands and shingle roof, the same five Spectrum Plus panels, the same 830 lbs assembled.
