Garmin Edge

Garmin Edge 1050

The Garmin Edge 1050 is a GPS bike computer with a 3.5 in. color touchscreen, so maps and ride stats show in fine detail at a glance. Its battery runs up to 20 hours in demanding use, which covers a full day in the saddle. Battery saver mode stretches that to 60 hours for rides spread over several days. A built-in speaker reads out turn prompts and rings as a bike bell for riders and walkers ahead. With your phone paired, fellow cyclists' road hazard reports reach you on the route, and GroupRide shares messages and live locations with your group. Two mounts and a tether come in the box.

From Saturday group rides to solo long ones, improve every ride with the Edge 1050 premium cycling computer and its incredible performance insights, in-ride competitions and free personalized coaching.

Courses can be built right on the touchscreen, with road surface type shown on the map. Preloaded maps carry worldwide mountain bike trail data from Trailforks, and Garmin Pay covers purchases on the ride with participating providers.

Under the hood

How it works

Multi-band GNSS with 5 Hz recording
The Edge 1050 tracks several satellite systems, GPS, GLONASS and Galileo, on more than one signal band. In the enduro and downhill profiles it records your position five times a second, so the line you took down a trail shows in fine detail afterward.
5 Hz
Real-time stamina and power guide
Paired with a power meter, power guide sets power targets from your real-time stamina and, with your phone connected, the wind. On mountain rides it also factors in altitude acclimation and adjusts the targets to match.
Smart fueling
During a workout or a power guide ride it tells you how many grams of carbs and milliliters of water to take on. With a compatible power meter and heart rate monitor paired, the alerts follow your fitness and the course, and your phone adds heat and humidity.
Maps that update over Wi-Fi
64 GB of internal memory holds the preloaded maps, and the Wi-Fi map manager adds, swaps or updates them from the device itself. Trailforks data comes built in for mountain bike trails worldwide.
