Garmin Tacx

Garmin Tacx Nera Smart Trainer

The Garmin Tacx Nera Smart Trainer takes your ride inside: a smart trainer with built-in motion that moves the bike forward, backward and side to side for a more realistic feel. Power and cadence read to within 1%, so the watts on your screen match the effort in your legs. Built-in Wi-Fi keeps the link to your training app stable, and race mode gives a fast response in virtual races in select apps. It runs stable and quiet under you. Choose it with a pre-installed SHIMANO/SRAM 11-speed cassette, or with a Zwift Cog and Zwift Click.

It takes sprint efforts up to 2,200 watts and simulates grades up to 20%.

Inside the Nera

How it works

Built-in motion
The trainer itself moves forward, backward and side to side under you, so riding indoors feels more immersive and comfortable than a bike held rigid.
Wi-Fi and race mode
Built-in Wi-Fi gives a stable, reliable connection to compatible training programs. Turn on race mode and the connection stays fast during virtual racing in select training apps.
Resistance that keeps up
A 13.51 lb (6.13 kg) flywheel, 55 Nm of torque and 162.5 N of brake force give the trainer its range, from a steady spin to a full sprint.
55 Nm
Guided setup
The Tacx Training app walks you through setup step by step, and the trainer needs no calibration before your first ride.
