Treat With Ease

Hyperice Knee Cold Compression Wrap

The Hyperice Knee Cold Compression Wrap is the product that started it all, an ice wrap that gives the knee hands-free ice therapy and compression. It is built from a neoprene wrap, an ice cell that slides into it, and a valve. It has no battery, no motor and no app, which leaves nothing to charge before a session. You fill the cell with ice, strap it around the knee and get on with something else. The box holds the wrap and the ice cell, and nothing else is required to use it.

The wrap is machine washable Plush neoprene and uses compression to hold an ultra-thin antimicrobial ice cell against the joint. The cell carries a patented air-release valve, which pushes the air out so the ice sits flat against the skin. The ice cell with its air-release valve is the design the rest of the Hyperice cold compression range came from.

Ice With An Upgrade

How it works

Each part of the wrap answers what goes wrong with a bag of ice held on by a bandage, which slips and leaks as it melts.

Patented Air-Release Valve
Air is an insulator. The valve lets you push it out of the cell once the ice is in, so the cell collapses onto the shape of the knee and the cold reaches skin directly through ice.
Flat contact
Ultra-Thin Antimicrobial Ice Cell
A 10 x 10 in container for housing ice, built thin so it conforms around a joint, and thin is what decides whether ice sits on a knee or tents over it. The antimicrobial treatment matters on something that spends its life damp and then goes back in a bag.
Antimicrobial
Plush Neoprene Wrap
Neoprene stretches, holds a shape and takes a wash. It is machine washable, which keeps a wrap in use two seasons from now instead of at the bottom of a kit bag.
Machine washable
Compression Holds It Hands-Free
The wrap does the holding, so both hands stay free. Fifteen minutes of icing sitting still with a bag pressed to your knee becomes fifteen minutes of icing while you make dinner. Compression pulls the cell around the contour of the joint and keeps the cold contact patch where you put it while you sit, stand or walk to the kitchen.
Hands-free

Hyperice Knee questions

Frequently asked questions

Ice. The cell is a 10 x 10 in container for housing ice; fill it to the point where it still lies flat against the knee.
It is the patented part of the product. Once ice goes into the cell, air goes in with it, and air between the ice and your skin acts as insulation. Opening the valve and pressing the cell flat expels that air, so the cell molds to the knee and the ice makes direct surface contact.
No. There are no electronics in this product at all, and the cold comes from ice you put in the cell yourself, which leaves nothing to charge or pair and no battery to age.
Yes. The wrap is machine washable Plush neoprene, and the wrap and cell separate for washing. Take the ice cell out first: the wrap is the washable half, and the cell itself carries an antimicrobial treatment. Separating them also lets you swap a cell that has been in the freezer for one that has just come out.
There is one size and no variants to choose. The neoprene closes around the knee and its compression holds the cell against the joint. The wrap and empty cell weigh 1.5 lbs; ice is what you add, and what it weighs on the day depends on how much you put in.
Follow the guidance you have been given for icing by a clinician, keep a layer between the cell and bare skin if the cold is sharp, and take the wrap off if the area goes numb.
Yes, it is TSA friendly. Packed flat and empty it is fabric and a plastic cell with no battery in it, which is the simplest thing you can put through a scanner. Fill it at the other end.
By targeted area. The Hyperice Knee is cut to wrap around a joint that bends; the Hyperice Back straps across the torso to hold the cell flat against the lower back. The ice cell and the valve are the same idea in both.
It is FSA/HSA eligible, and whether a purchase qualifies depends on your plan, so confirm with your plan administrator.
Hyperice covers it for one year from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship, and repairs or replaces it free of charge after inspection.
