Ready. Set. Go.
The Vyper Go is the compact vibrating foam roller in the Hyperice range. It measures 10.6 × 3.9 × 3.9 in and weighs 2 lbs, which is small enough to sit in a gym bag next to your shoes and narrow enough to work on a calf or a forearm the way a full-diameter roller cannot.
A high-torque 26W motor drives three speeds of vibration through a contoured body, and the battery runs up to 2 hours per charge. It pairs over Bluetooth to the Hyperice App, where guided sessions come with advice from athletes, trainers and performance advisors.
Prime Time
Every figure on this page belongs to the Vyper Go itself. It is a smaller roller with a smaller motor than the full-size Vyper 3, and the trade it makes is a deliberate one.
The Perfect Pair
Eight reasons the size matters as much as the motor does, each tied to a figure from the listing.
Closer Look
The end cap carries the whole interface. Press once to wake the roller, press again to step through the three vibration speeds. Nothing to read and nothing to aim at, which is the right decision for a device you operate blind with your weight on it.
Hyperice describes the surface as perfectly placed contours, and on a 3.9 in roller they do more work than they would on a wide one. The raised sections concentrate pressure into a strip, and the recesses give bone somewhere to go, so the roller stays on muscle along a shin or a forearm.
Three items. The roller, the power supply that charges it, and three additional plug adapters, which is the tell that this model was designed around a suitcase. The listing states the Vyper Go is approved by TSA for carry-on.
Compare
Four vibrating self-massage tools, two cylinders and two balls. The Vyper Go sits at the portable end of the roller pair. Choose by how much muscle you want to cover in one pass and how far the tool has to travel with you.
