Jugs Instant Screen

The Jugs Instant Screen is a pop-up practice screen that opens from a compact 36 in. circle to a 7 ft. H x 8 ft. W frame in seconds, with no assembly step. Nothing needs threading or bolting, and no loose part can go missing in a parking lot. The whole screen weighs less than 14 lbs and rides in a nylon carry bag. It goes in a trunk and comes out between games at a tournament. A 3-step colored tab system guides the fold the same way every time.

It is built on a sturdy lightweight spring steel frame. One person handles it in one trip. It is built for high schools, colleges, professionals and elite travel ball, and it provides full protection for hitting, pitching or fielding practice. The design is wind-resistant for outdoor sessions, a removable flip-over strike zone adds pitching and hitting drills, and a 2D barcode on the screen links to setup instructions and practice drills.

How it works

Open in seconds and closed by colored tabs
The Instant Screen pops open and closes in seconds with no assembly required, and a 3-step colored tab system guides proper folding for compact storage every time. The tabs show which section goes where, so the person who packs it does not need to be the person who learned it.
No assembly required
A 7 x 8 ft. screen under 14 lbs
The frame opens to 7 ft. H x 8 ft. W at less than 14 lbs and provides full protection for hitting, pitching or fielding practice. Fifty-six square feet of screen goes wherever one hand can carry it. It goes in a bag over a shoulder with the bats.
Less than 14 lbs.
A Spring Steel Frame Built to Flex
The frame is sturdy lightweight spring steel, built for flexibility and long-lasting durability. The spring steel frame stores the tension that pops the screen out and takes it back when the tabs guide it down. The screen is also built to stay stable and secure during outdoor sessions, for a wind-resistant design.

A Strike Zone That Flips Over
A removable flip-over strike zone comes with the screen and expands pitching and hitting drill options. Flip it over and the same screen that was catching batting practice becomes a target a pitcher throws at. A 2D barcode links to setup instructions and practice drills.

Setup

Out of the Bag and Standing

The screen pops open and closes in seconds, with no assembly required. This one comes out of the bag already whole: toss the frame away from you onto a clear, level area and tilt it upright. The colored tab folding system handles the return trip, marking the sequence so the screen packs into the same 36 in. circle whoever is doing it.

  • Opens in seconds with no assembly
  • Colored tabs guide proper folding
  • Folds to a compact 36 in. circle

Transport

Under 14 lbs in a nylon bag

Folded into a 36 in. circle, the Instant Screen travels the way a bat bag travels. A nylon carry bag comes with it for transport and compact storage, so the screen has somewhere to live between sessions and the frame is not loose in a trunk with the helmets. For a travel program that plays on fields it does not own, the weight and the bag are the specification: whoever is driving can bring the screen, and nobody has to plan for it.

  • Less than 14 lbs. total weight
  • Nylon carry bag included
  • Folds to a compact 36 in. circle
  • Sturdy lightweight spring steel frame

Hitting, pitching and fielding work

The 7 ft. x 8 ft. frame provides full protection for hitting, pitching or fielding practice, and the removable flip-over strike zone expands pitching and hitting drill options. A screen this size covers a coach throwing front toss, a pitcher working a bullpen at a target, and an infielder taking short-hop work with something behind him. The 2D barcode on the screen links to the practice drills.

  • Removable flip-over strike zone
  • Knotless nylon netting
  • Wind-resistant design for outdoor sessions
  • 2D barcode links to practice drills
