The Jugs Sting-Free Multi-Use Light-Weight Softball 12" - Dozen is a 12 in. seamed practice softball at 4.75 oz., light enough to add up to 5 mph to high-velocity machine batting practice. It goes into the machine when a coach wants a hitter to see the top of the speed range. It comes in orange, sold by the dozen or in a 24-ball bucket.

Its seamed surface makes it a multi-use ball. It works off a live arm, on short toss and on soft toss, and it suits catcher's drills at high velocity. The light-weight Sting-Free formula keeps it from stinging hands at those speeds, and it will not damage metal or composite bats. It is only slightly lighter than regulation, so flight and feel stay true. At regulation weight, the Sting-Free Practice Softball 12 in. is the same seamed ball.
