Kavvia SkinVision Pro 3D Skin Analyzer

The Kavvia SkinVision Pro 3D Skin Analyzer is a professional skin analyzer for a consultation room, a camera station that photographs a client's face and files what it captures. It works in eight spectra: RGB, UV365, UV405, PL+, PL-, Red, Brown Spots and Mix Spot. Every light source in it is a full spectrum natural white LED covering 380 to 780 nm. The lamp is a shadowless planar type, so the face is lit without a cast shadow. The station runs on Windows, with a wireless keyboard and mouse at the desk. It supports 1920 x 1080, takes frontal 3D, and prints a report to A4.

The SkinVision Pro is an imaging instrument and not a treatment device. Lighting is what separates the eight channels: the polarized pair runs through a high-definition PL filter with uniform light technology, and the two ultraviolet channels sit behind coating filters of their own. Moisture is a separate measurement, taken with a USB pen at the skin while the client is in the chair. Backup is intelligent and runs without being asked, so a day of client records is not something an operator has to remember to save.

The eight imaging spectra

Eight spectra come off three kinds of light on the SkinVision Pro: full spectrum white LED, polarized light through a PL filter, and ultraviolet behind its own filters.

RGB, UV365, UV405, PL+, PL-, Red, Brown Spots and Mix Spot. The operator works from eight versions of one capture instead of a single photograph.

Every light source in the station is a full spectrum natural white LED running 380 to 780 nm, so one lamp type covers the whole range the colour channels record.

Polarized light through a PL filter

PL+ and PL- are the two polarized channels. Both are captured through a high-definition PL filter with uniform light technology, on the same station and in the same set of eight.

Ultraviolet behind coated filters

UV365 and UV405 each run behind a coating filter of their own. Two ultraviolet wavelengths give the operator two separate UV views of one face.

The 3D function captures the face from the front, which gives a shaped record and not only a flat photograph. Moisture is a separate measurement, taken with a USB pen at the skin while the client is in the chair, so it lands in the same appointment as the photographs.
