Through a planetary gear and an eddy current brake, adjusted continuously on a dial at the front right of the frame. The brake works magnetically across a gap, so nothing contacts the flywheel and nothing wears out with use. Because the adjustment is continuous, you turn into the load you want during a ride without clicking between numbered levels.

5.5 kg, driven at a ratio of 1:8. That gearing is what makes a relatively light wheel ride smoothly, because it turns much faster than the cranks and carries the pedal stroke through the dead spot at the top and the bottom. The Bike Pro uses the same 5.5 kg wheel at the same ratio.

200 kg, which is 441 lb. It is the same rating on both NOHrD bikes and one of the highest in the range. The bike's own weight is a separate figure at 60 kg (132 lb).

A power connection is supported at the console, and the standard models can also run from a USB power bank. If the bike is going into a room with no socket on the right wall, the power bank is the answer to that. The Bike Pro is different on this point and requires a power connection.

117 x 113 x 60 cm, which is under a square meter of floor. Allow a little room behind and to the side for getting on and off, and remember that at 60 kg this is a bike you place once rather than move between rooms. The Bike Pro is 36 cm longer in the frame at 153 cm.

NOHRD Connect is NOHrD's own training app and carries exercise video across the whole range of machines; the other three are virtual riding and structured training platforms. One exception applies: the NOHRD Bike app is not currently compatible with the Samsung S10 and S20.

Six: Shadow, Oak, Vintage, Club, Cherry and Walnut, priced cheapest to dearest in that order. Shadow is stained black, Oak is the golden-brown grain, Vintage is a real wood veneer with an aged character finish, Club prices level with Vintage in the middle of the ladder, Cherry runs light yellow to reddish brown, and Walnut is the dark grain at the top of the ladder. The wood components are oiled against dirt and stains.

Yes. The saddle sits on a universal bracket with 30 degrees of saddle angle, which is what lets the Brooks leather saddle or the comfort saddle go on in place of the original. The saddle mount XL moves the saddle further back for a taller rider, and a seat back is available for upright riding.

No. The V2 ships in two packages and is assembled where it will be ridden. Sixty kilograms is a two-person lift once it is together, so build it in the room it is going to live in. The Bike Pro ships in three packages.

Frame length, console and crate count. The V2 is 117 cm long, 60 kg, two packages, with a touchscreen set into the handlebar and the option of a USB power bank. The Bike Pro is 153 cm long, 62 kg, three packages, with a touchscreen built into the bike, a seat height range of 90 to 112 cm and a power connection required. Flywheel, drive ratio, brake type and the 200 kg user rating are identical.

The saddle line, a bottle holder, a seat back and toe clips with straps. Read the toe clip page before you add it to the order, because the clips do not fit the built-in hybrid pedals and need separate platform pedals to work.

One year from the date of first shipment, covering repair or replacement of a defective component. Registering the bike within the first year of purchase takes that to two years on all components and two years on all wooden components, and spare parts carry ninety days. The cover reads the same for private and commercial use.
