  • White-Glove Delivery is Non-Refundable. This is an additional service and therefore cannot be refunded. If you do return your chair and want white glove pickup, then there will be an additional charge applied.
  • Only orders in the contiguous US - It does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico orders or international orders.
  • Financing Fees are non-refundable. These range from 10%-15%.

How do I return my product?

The return process is simple. Just contact a Recovery for Athletes expert to get your Return Authorization (RA) number and the correct address to send your item. Please be sure that the item is returned in its original condition and that it is packed in its original boxes. Products returned improperly will not be accepted. Restocking fees and return shipping charges will apply.

Cancellations

All canceled orders are subject to your cc fees (3%) or if financed through Affirm then it is a 5% fee, which are non-refundable plus a $20 processing fee, whether or not your order has shipped. If your order has shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges and any re-consignment fees associated. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you used when placing your order.

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

At Recovery for Athletes, your satisfaction is our top priority. We want you to be thrilled with your purchase, and we offer a hassle-free return policy to ensure your peace of mind.

You have a generous 30-day window from the ship date to make a decision about your purchase. Our return policy applies to all manufacturers except UltraComfort and our Refurbished/Open Box/Certified Pre Owned chairs, as they no longer accept returns or swaps due to buyer's remorse. However, if your chair arrives damaged, they will promptly replace it.

If you'd like to explore other chair options within our selection, we value your loyalty and will cover the fees associated with switching to a different chair that better suits your needs.

To be eligible for a return, please ensure the item is repackaged in its original packaging with all parts, hardware, controller, and accessories. If the original packaging is unavailable, suitable repackaging will be required, and additional white glove pickup fees may apply.

Please note that our return policy applies to orders within the continental US only. If your chair was shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or internationally, the shipping fees likely amounted to $800-$1200 each way.

In the unlikely event of any quality issues with your chair, we are committed to finding a resolution. We will work closely with you to facilitate repair, replacement, or exchange. However, if you decline these options, you will be responsible for the shipping costs in both directions and any applicable restocking fees.

Restocking fees are common in the industry, and rates may vary. Currently, Human Touch and Cozzia charge a restocking fee of 15%, while Synca has a restocking fee of 20%.

NOTE: We are on your side and strive to provide you with exceptional service, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your order or return, call us at (704) 486-2384.

Osaki | OS-Pro Paragon 4D

Osaki OS-Pro Paragon 4D Massage Chair

Two decisions separate the OS-Pro Paragon 4D from the Osaki 4D chairs beside it. The first is the shape of the track. The Paragon runs an L-track, one long continuous path from the neck, down past the lower back, and wrapping underneath the back of the thighs. Osaki put the gain at about 50 percent more massage area than an average S-track chair. The second is where the heat comes from. On most chairs heat sits in a pad behind the upholstery. On the Paragon the back roller itself heats up, so the warmth arrives at the same point as the pressure, moving with the roller the way a hot stone moves under a therapist's hand.

Heat appears twice more. Spinning reflexology rollers under the footrest warm the soles as they turn, and the temperature is adjustable from the remote through a TEMP + and TEMP - control. The rest of the chair reads like the 4D tier it belongs to: a 4D massage mechanism, body scan technology that maps the neck and back before the program starts, zero gravity reclining, space saving that holds the chair 3.15 in. off the wall, automatic leg extension of 8.7 in., voice recognition for nine spoken phrases, and Bluetooth speakers around the headrest. Osaki's specification sheet gives maximum user weight as 260 lb. The OS-Pro Paragon 4D ships in Black, Brown, Beige and Grey.

Inside the chair

A Longer Track and Three Sources of Heat

Track geometry decides where a massage chair can reach. Heat decides how the tissue takes it. The OS-Pro Paragon 4D makes an unusual choice on both.

📏
The L-Track, and How It Differs From an SL-Track
An S-track follows the natural curve of the spine and stops around the lower back. An L-track keeps going: one continuous run from the neck, past the tailbone, and around underneath the thighs. An SL-track is the hybrid, an S-shaped upper section with an L-shaped extension bolted on below. The Paragon uses the simpler geometry, a single uninterrupted path, which Osaki rate at about 50 percent more massage area than an average S-track chair.
Neck to under the thighs
🌡
The Heated Back Roller
The roller heats up and carries that heat with it along the track, which puts a far greater surface area under warmth than a fixed heating pad covers. Osaki compare the sensation to hot stones working from the neck to the hamstrings. Temperature is set from the remote with a TEMP + and TEMP - control, so the heat is a level you choose and not a switch.
Heat travels with the roller
👣
Heating on the Foot Rollers
Spinning reflexology rollers sit at the bottom of the footrest and knead the soles. As they spin they run heating therapy around the foot area at mild to strong pressure. The footrest is also covered over the toes, which keeps the warmth in the foot cavity through the session. This is the only chair in this group of three that heats the back roller and the foot rollers together.
Warm, covered foot cavity
🔍
Body Scan Technology
Before a program starts, the Paragon scans the key areas of the neck and back to set how much pressure the rollers apply. It detects shoulder height specifically, and that reading can be recalibrated by hand once the scan finishes. On a track this long, the scan is what stops a fixed roller path from arriving in the wrong place on a taller or shorter back.

Legs and feet

Leg Extension That Measures You First

The ottoman scans your legs to find the right length for your height, then the foot component extends or retracts within a range of 8.7 in. under its own power. You can also set it by pressing down with your feet to tell the leg scanner the position is right, or drive it out and back from the remote. Once the legs are set, the footrest closes over the toes and the spinning reflexology rollers underneath go to work with heat. A covered foot cavity holds that warmth in place while the rollers turn.

Nine Spoken Phrases and an LED Remote

A small microphone sits near the speaker and recognises nine phrases, which is enough to change massage mode without reaching for anything. The remote handles everything else on an LED display that shows where the rollers are, which part of the body is heating, and whether zero gravity is engaged. Its menu covers Neck and Shoulder, Lower Back, Auto, Manual, Advance and Air Massage, and the timer sets in five-minute steps from 5 minutes up to 30. A pocket on the chair holds the remote between sessions.

Position

Zero Gravity, Three Inches Off the Wall

Zero gravity reclining brings the knees above the chest and puts the full weight of your back onto the backrest, which is what lets the rollers press into the spine at full intensity: the body stops holding itself up and the track takes over. Reclining that far usually costs floor space. Space saving keeps the OS-Pro Paragon 4D within 3.15 in. of the wall through the movement, so the chair can live against a wall in a room that has no space to spare behind it.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

An S-track follows the curve of the spine and finishes around the lower back. An L-track carries on in one continuous run past the tailbone and around underneath the thighs. An SL-track is the hybrid of the two: an S-shaped upper section with an L-shaped extension below it. The OS-Pro Paragon 4D uses the plain L-track, a single uninterrupted path, which Osaki rate at about 50 percent more massage area than an average S-track chair. The two chairs compared above both use SL-tracks.
The heat moves. A pad warms one fixed area of the backrest. On the Paragon the roller itself heats and carries that warmth along the whole L-track, so a much larger surface area sees heat over the course of a program. Osaki describe the sensation as hot stones working from the neck to the hamstrings.
Yes. The remote carries a TEMP + and TEMP - control for adjusting the heating temperature. The LED display also shows which part of the body is currently heating.
Under the feet. The spinning reflexology rollers at the bottom of the footrest run heating therapy as they turn, at mild to strong pressure. The footrest is covered over the toes, which keeps the foot cavity warm through the session.
Osaki's specification sheet for the OS-Pro Paragon 4D gives 260 lb. The older marketing copy on this listing states 220 lb. Both figures come from Osaki and they do not agree. We publish the specification-sheet figure of 260 lb because that is the document the rating belongs on. If your decision turns on that number, ask us to confirm it with Osaki before you order.
A small microphone sits near the speaker and recognises nine phrases, which are used to manage the massage modes. Osaki publish the phrase list in the manual, in the Manual tab below.
The foot component extends and retracts automatically within 8.7 in. The ottoman scans your legs first to find the length that matches your height. You can confirm a position by pressing down with your feet, or adjust it from the remote.
The timer sets in five-minute steps from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. Program selection on the remote covers Neck and Shoulder, Lower Back, Auto, Manual, Advance and Air Massage.
It maps the key areas of the neck and back to set roller pressure, and it detects shoulder height specifically. Once the scan finishes, the shoulder position can be recalibrated by hand if the chair has read you slightly high or low.
Space saving holds the chair within 3.15 in. of the wall as it reclines. The recline itself is a zero gravity position that brings the knees above the chest and transfers the weight of your back onto the backrest.
Upright it measures 33.0 in. (W) × 63.0 in. (L) × 50.0 in. (H). Reclined it measures 33.0 in. (W) × 74.5 in. (L) × 37.0 in. (H). Minimum door width is 33 in. and the chair weighs approximately 289.9 lb. Full dimensions are in the Dimensions tab.
Four colours: Black, Brown, Beige and Grey, all the same chair. Rated voltage is 110 to 120V at 60Hz, a standard household outlet. Shoulder width is 20 in. and seat width is 15.5 in. on the specification sheet, so check those against your own measurements before ordering.

Great firm massage, heated rollers are not hot

"Short Version: Pros: 1. Firm, deep massage of arms, back, calves, hips, neck/head and feet. One of the best I tried in this price range. 2. Good auto programs. 3. Low profile, takes up surprisingly little space. 4. Works for 5’5” to 6’2” (up to shoe size wide 12) 5. Speakers are acceptable, not great. 5. Good customization of the foot rollers and airbags. 6. 2 different zero gravity positions Cons: 1. Can be too hard of a massage 2. Menu screen is too bright at night. 3. Remote lacks backlight buttons. 4. Heated rollers are useless and it makes me angry 5. Manual is poorly written and voice menu poorly laid out/too small to be useful 6. 4D feature is not discernibly different from non-4D In short: I am happy with the excellent, firm massage this provides and it’s helped my back/legs/neck a lot. In this price range, this is an excellent chair. However, if I had to repurchase I would get a 3D chair with traditional heating because of cons 4 and 6. Long version: I have owned the Osaki Paragon since Sept 2024. I purchased it for my chronic neck stiffness, muscle relaxation after exercise, and sciatic pain. I have used massage chairs from the Alfine/iRest brand, and the Infinity brands either in stores or at the houses of friends and family. I liked the iRest but wanted a firmer massage. I hated the Infinity and found them to fit my body very poorly. The Osaki is much, much better. When I obtained this chair, I was delighted by the hard, intense massage (especially the calf massage which blows my mother’s $1000 more expensive iRest out of the water). It can take some getting used to (it’s almost too hard at times) but wearing sweatpants, socks, and a sweatshirt can help while you grow accustomed to it. I also padded down the back of the chair with a folded over blanket when my sciatica was too painful and this worked well. The foot rollers can be turned on and off. The intensity of the airbags can be adjusted for all auto-programs but you need to select the program first THEN adjust the chair position and air bag intensity etc. Also, if you have big feet, the foot well in this surrounds them on all sides. Excellent for a solid foot massage but anything bigger than a men’s 12 won’t fit comfortably. Also, it is VERY important to seat yourself correctly in this chair. If your knees are too low in the calf rollers it will hurt A LOT. If your hand massage is too weak you’re probably too far back. Move your hands to your fingers just overlap the edge of the “hot dog” airbags and it’ll be better. The auto-programs are excellent. I like Relief and Recovery the best. The Stretch program is excellent for hips/back/calves but a little intense (as in you may want to stretch before you let it Stretch you). The Relax is the softest program (yes, softer than Soft) and good for when you wake up in the middle of the night and want to get back to sleep. On a separate note for middle of the night users, the menu is BLINDING (will leave a giant mark in your vision for 5 min) and there is no way to adjust the brightness. You can turn off the lights on the side of the chair in the settings menu. The keys are not backlit so you have to memorize them if you want to use them at night. I do love that the remote is wired so I don’t lose it. As someone who actually reads the manual of products, this manual sucks. It basically has how to set up the chair and a basic instruction on the voice menu. It tells you nothing about the programs and the names of the programs on the voice menu do not match the menu in the chair (example: Chinese Massage on voice manual is Relief on the remote). The manual is useless for hooking up the speakers but just turn on your bluetooth and you’ll see some big mess of letters pop up. Select that and you can get them to play. The speakers are okay for the every day person streaming relaxing music off youtube. Audiophiles will complain that it has that “all mids” vibe but I hear the base just fine. The heated rollers are the biggest disappointment. For something advertised as “like a hot stone massage”, they can barley take the chill out of the chair fabric. I consider them completely useless and am frustrated that I paid more for that feature. It’s not that mine are broken, when we peel back the fabric they are warm, it just can’t reach you. I don’t feel the 4d feature is worth it. I turn it on, I turn it off. I can’t tell the difference. I wouldn’t pay more for it knowing that. Osaki, if you read this, double the wattage of the heaters and skip the 4d. Don’t include a feature on a chair just to advertise your bells and whistles it when they don’t work well. Spend the money on making the features you give the chair as good as the massage because the massage is great."

Great Chair

"I had the white glove delivery which went really well. Set-up was quick and the guys moved it into the position I wanted. Still going through all the programs to find the ones I like the best. The blue tooth speakers are great and easy to use. I have found that I like to use it right before bed to help me relax and that has been working great. Great chair in it’s price range."

Purchase of Osaki Pro Paragon Massage Chair from Recovery for Athletes

"I ordered the Osaki Pro Paragon 4D chair on December 1, 2021 as a Christmas present for my wife. Since the delivery was stated as 2-3 weeks, I was confident we would get it in time for Christmas. After many telephone inquiries regarding delivery, I was told that the shipper to which the chair was sent went out of business and our chair was somewhere on a loading dock. Many calls and emails requesting updates followed. We were told a new chair was ordered and would be arriving the end of the second week in January. We were instructed to follow the shipping carrier Cerva Logistics website. We scheduled service from 2 Men and a truck to be on call at our home for the first scheduled1/19/22 delivery to bring this chair into our homes second story. We made arrangements to be at our home from 12:00 - 4:00 as requested, but the trucking firm / chair did not show. I contacted Recovery for Athletes again who assured us the chair was in CEVA hands and should have been delivered. We scheduled service again from 2 Men and a Truck to be at our home for a second "scheduled " delivery on 1/22/22. We made arrangements a second time to be present at our home and 2 Men and a Truck to be on call from 12:00 - 4:00 as requested, but the chair again did not show. I contacted Recovery for Athletes who once again assured us the chair was in CEVA hands and should have been delivered. Please note that it cost me $140.00 each time I to reserve the movers. I sent Recovery for Athletes an email stating they had debited my Discover account on 12/2/21 the $3, 800.00 or so $, and unless I can get a "guarantee" on a specific delivery date and time, I would have to request Recovery for Athletes to issue me a credit. Recovery of Athletes indicated they were working on it and would get back to me as soon as they confirmed the third delivery information from CEVA Logistics. We received no delivery update information over that weekend and on the following Monday 1/24/22, my wife and I had plans to be in Nashville Tn. some 125 miles north east of our home. At approximately 6:30 PM on 1/24/22, I received a call from my next door neighbor that a large truck was parked in front of "her "home. My neighbor knew of our ongoing delivery issues with this chair and questioned the truck driver from CEVA Logistics - yes that was the delivery of our chair - no prior call, no text, no email. My neighbor called us and questioned as to what if anything she should do. I asked her to enter our home and open the garage door for the delivery people to drop ship the boxes containing the chair. Yes, we finally did get our chair. I had to arrange a third time for 2 Men and a truck to come to our home to move the boxes to the upper level of our home which did occur on 1/26/22. To say the least, this on line purchase was easy but the delivery of same was not very desirable. The chair has been assembled and appears to be working fine. Tom Brecciaroli"
