Power Plate
The REV is an indoor bike. It is the one machine in the Power Plate range you sit on, and the only one where the vibration comes up through the pedals. Power Plate calls the system VibeShift, describes it as patent-pending, and states that the technology is set in motion through active pedaling. If you stop pedaling, the vibration stops with it.
Belt drive, rear aluminum flywheel, dual-sided pedals with SPD on one face and a toe cage on the other, and an LED console reading heart rate, RPM, speed, watts, distance, calories, resistance level, elapsed time and whether vibration is on or off. It comes in matte black or wood, in two seat heights, and weighs 121.2 lb / 55 kg.
Because it is a bike, most of the numbers that decide a platform purchase do not exist here. Power Plate publishes no vibration frequency in Hz for the REV, no amplitude, no platform size and no count of vibration levels. Where a figure is missing below, it is missing because Power Plate does not publish it.
The machine
The REV is the only Power Plate that puts vibration into a pedal stroke. Here is the published mechanism, and the published evidence, with the qualifier Power Plate attaches to it.
01
Power Plate states that VibeShift delivers consistent, safe, precise and predictable vibration through the pedals, and that the technology is set in motion through active pedaling. The console shows vibration only as on or off. No frequency in Hz, no amplitude in millimetres and no count of intensity levels is published for the REV.

02
Compared with a traditional fitness bike, Power Plate reports a 43 percent increase in calf activation, 167 percent in quad, 144 percent in hamstring and 138 percent in glute. Power Plate attributes those figures to a preliminary study at the Centre for Sports Science and Human Performance, University of Greenwich, UK. Preliminary is Power Plate's own word and it belongs with the numbers.
Preliminary study
03
Standard suits riders up to 5 ft 11 in.; extra height suits 6 ft and taller. Across both, Power Plate states the bike suits riders between approximately 61 in. and 84.6 in. / 155 cm and 215 cm. Seat and handlebars adjust vertically and fore and aft.
61-84.6 in.
04
The display reads heart rate, RPM and watts as both real-time and average, plus speed, distance, calories, resistance level, elapsed time, vibration state and a Bluetooth indicator. It runs from a rechargeable battery or an external power supply, so the bike does not have to live beside an outlet.

Ownership
Power Plate's REV specification block is detailed in places and silent in others. Both are recorded here.
01
143.3 lb / 65 kg with packaging. Light enough to reposition on a hard floor with a second pair of hands.
02
60.5 cm by 137 cm. Under two feet of width, and about four and a half feet front to back.
03
Power Plate's dimensions row is labeled for height and then omits the value. We are not going to estimate one.
04
Power Plate's REV specification gives 330 lb / 150 kg. The product comparison chart covers the platforms only and carries no figure for the bike.
05
SPD cleats on one side, a toe cage on the other, so cycling shoes and trainers both work.
06
Belt driven. Power Plate publishes no flywheel weight and no resistance type.
07
Resistance Level appears as a console readout and the description mentions levels 1 and 5. Power Plate never says how many there are.
08
2 years frame and gearbox, 1 year display, 6 months wear parts. Shorter than the 3 / 1 / 1 the platforms carry.
In detail
VibeShift
Power Plate reports that against a traditional fitness bike the REV delivers a 43 percent increase in calf activation, 167 percent in quad, 144 percent in hamstring and 138 percent in glute, and that level 1 resistance with vibration is equivalent to level 5 without it. Every one of those figures rests on a single preliminary study at the University of Greenwich, and Power Plate says so in a footnote. The copy this page replaces printed the percentages with the footnote stripped off. It belongs with them.
Fit and finish
Seat height is a build choice made before you order. The standard frame suits riders up to 5 ft 11 in., with the seat between approximately 36.3 in. and 41.2 in.; the extra height frame suits 6 ft and taller, with the seat between 37.8 in. and 42.9 in. Handlebars run 44.9 in. to 47.3 in. on both. Finish is matte black or wood. Order the wrong seat height and it is a return, so measure before you choose.
Space and warranty
The REV is 23.8 in. / 60.5 cm wide and 53.9 in. / 137 cm deep. Power Plate publishes no overall height: the dimensions row is labeled for height and the value is simply absent, so allow for handlebars at 47.3 in. plus a rider on top and confirm ceiling clearance yourself. Warranty is a bike warranty, shorter than the platforms get: 2 years on the frame and gearbox, 1 year on the display, 6 months on wear parts.
The range
The REV is an indoor bike and the other two here are vibration platforms, so this is a comparison of what a home buyer might do with the same money, and not a like-for-like specification table. Platform figures come from Power Plate's product comparison chart, which does not cover the bike.
The living-room platform. Three set frequencies, four finishes, still liftable at 85 lb.
You're Here
The vibration bike. A different machine from the platforms and priced against them.
The first with a column and a touchscreen, and the first that steps frequency by 1 Hz.
Questions
No. It is an indoor exercise bike with vibration delivered through the pedals. There is no plate to stand on, no column and no platform surface. If you want a machine you stand on, look at the MOVE or the my5. If you want to ride, this is the only Power Plate that does it.
Power Plate does not publish one. The platforms all carry a frequency band in Hz; the REV carries none, no amplitude figure and no count of vibration intensity levels. The console shows vibration as on or off and nothing more. Power Plate states the vibration is set in motion through active pedaling, so it follows your cadence.
They are Power Plate's figures and they come with Power Plate's own caveat. The 43, 167, 144 and 138 percent increases, and the claim that level 1 with vibration equals level 5 without, are all attributed to a preliminary study carried out at the Centre for Sports Science and Human Performance, University of Greenwich, UK. One preliminary study at one university. The copy this page replaces printed the percentages without that footnote, which made them read as settled fact. We have put it back.
Power Plate does not say. Resistance Level appears as a readout on the console and the description refers to level 1 and level 5, which means there are at least five. No total is published, and neither is the resistance type or the flywheel weight. If the count decides your purchase, ask us and we will get it from the rep.
Power Plate splits it at six feet: standard height for riders 5 ft 11 in. and shorter, extra height for 6 ft and taller. Standard gives a seat between roughly 36.3 in. and 41.2 in.; extra height gives 37.8 in. to 42.9 in. Across both frames Power Plate states the bike suits riders between about 61 in. and 84.6 in. It is a frame choice made at the factory, so get it right at the order stage.
Power Plate does not publish an overall height. Its dimensions row is labeled width by depth by height, gives 23.8 in. / 60.5 cm wide and 53.9 in. / 137 cm deep, and then stops. The string is garbled at source and the height value is simply absent. We are not going to invent one. The tallest published point is the handlebar at 47.3 in. / 120 cm, so plan clearance from there plus your own height in the saddle.
Power Plate's REV specification block gives 330 lb / 150 kg. Note that the product comparison chart, which is our highest source for the platforms, covers the eight platforms only and carries no rider limit for the bike, so this figure comes from the website alone. If you are close to it, ask us to confirm with the rep before ordering.
121.2 lb / 55 kg assembled, 143.3 lb / 65 kg in the box. The footprint is 23.8 x 53.9 in. / 60.5 x 137 cm. Add clearance to mount, dismount and reach the console, and leave room behind the flywheel.
An LED console reading heart rate, RPM and watts as both real-time and average figures, plus speed, distance, calories, resistance level, vibration on or off, elapsed time and a Bluetooth indicator. It runs from a rechargeable battery or an external power supply. Power Plate does not publish which Bluetooth profiles or apps it pairs with.
Matte black or wood. Both come in either seat height, which makes four builds in total. The wood finish costs more than the matte black, and the two look quite different in a room, so choose on the room as much as on the ride.
Power Plate publishes no included-items list for the REV. The only such list reachable from its REV page belongs to the MOVE platform, which is a different product, so we are not repeating it here. What we can tell you is that the bike ships with its display power supply and the standard hardware. Ask us before you order if you need the packing list in writing.
2 years frame and gearbox, 1 year display, 6 months wear parts in the United States. This is a bike warranty and it is shorter than the 3 years hardware / 1 year electronics / 1 year labor the vibration platforms carry. One wording note: Power Plate's own warranty block calls the 1 year term electronics in one place and the display in another. Ask us if the distinction matters for something specific on the machine.
Power Plate is currently running a limited-time offer of free White Glove delivery and installation on the REV. That is a promotion and it can end, so confirm with us at the point of order what the delivery method is on your particular order. At 143.3 lb boxed, it is a two-person carry.
They do different jobs. A platform is a standing machine with a published frequency band, used in short timed blocks; the REV is a bike you ride for as long as you want to ride. If you already train on a bike and want vibration added to that, the REV is the machine. If you want a floor platform for standing work in a home room, the MOVE and the my5 are the two to read, and both carry the longer 3 / 1 / 1 platform warranty.
