STEPR Bionic Bike XL

The STEPR Bionic Bike XL is an air bike that pushes back as hard as you push it. Drive the pedals harder and the fan has more air to shift, so the machine sets the work rate and you decide how long you can hold it. VPR, STEPR's air resistance system, moves the pitch of internal rotors to control how much air gets displaced, which covers more than one hundred virtual gears on one machine. Dual-position handlebars suit riders big and small. The frame is covered for ten years, parts for three and labor for two.

How it works

Most fan bikes give you one curve and leave you to live with it. The Bionic Bike XL moves its rotor pitch while you ride, so one fan covers a warm-up spin and a flat-out effort.

"It is solid bike. So far everything is good. Only things I think could have been different are the postion of the phone holder slot is at the bottom of the bike's display screen. When the phone is placed in the slot it blocks the bike's display. Also I think the handle to select the resistance level could have been better if it clicked or locked into to each level like putting an auto transmission in gear, so you're able to have an idea of what level of resistance you're at without having to stop, move the phone and tweak the handle slowly to not move too fast through the resistance levels. Other than that, so far, I enjoy this bike more than the echo bike I previously had."
