Chattanooga Laser
The Chattanooga Laser Protective Eyewear is a pair of laser safety glasses for clinician or patient use during laser treatment, for use with Class 3B lasers only. Laser protective eyewear should be worn by the operator and the patient to block infrared light energy from the eyes during treatment. The eyewear is L3 rated and compliant with EN207. Its optical density is 3+ from 625 to 830 nm and from 815 to 1050 nm, and 5+ from 190 to 400 nm. Those bands cover the 670 to 950 nm the Vectra laser applicators emit, at 100 to 1440 mW.
The same pair covers the Vectra Genisys Transport Laser console and the Vectra Neo laser therapy module. Two pairs ship with the Transport Laser and a pair ships inside the Neo laser module, so this pair is a spare, a replacement or a pair for a second clinician. A pair is worn by the operator and a pair by the patient, and a third person in the room during treatment wears a third pair. On the Transport Laser the nominal ocular hazard distance runs 6.2 to 15.24 m, depending on the applicator fitted. Do not point the laser light beam directly into human or animal eyes. The lens of the eye does not detect the invisible, coherent laser light beams, potentially resulting in permanent retinal damage.
