Finnmark SoulCold Cold Plunge

The Finnmark SoulCold Cold Plunge is a single-person cold plunge and immersion tub with the chiller and the heater both built in, so one 180-gallon tub covers a 34°F plunge and a 108°F soak. The water is regulated to a set point and held there, ready at the same temperature every time you lift the cover. Inside is a 304 stainless steel tub 48 inches long and 28 inches deep. The chiller plugs into a standard 15 amp outlet, and its Wi-Fi controller lets you set the water from your phone.

Around the steel runs a Canadian cedar skirt, with a built-in cedar backrest to lean against while you are in the water. Floating-effect color LED lighting glows from the tub, with its own LED remote in the box.

How it works

A 1 hp chiller with a Hitachi compressor drives the water temperature both ways, with the stainless shell, the controller and the sanitation loop built around it.

Commercial grade chiller and heater
One unit drives both directions: 4.45 kW of cooling capacity and 4.36 kW of heating capacity, running on R410A refrigerant with an 88W DC circulating pump. The chiller cabinet measures 21.3 x 15.4 x 25 in. and weighs 103 lbs. It draws 1,650 watts on 15 amps through a NEMA 5-15P plug.

A Canadian cedar skirt wraps the steel tub on every side. Inside, an ergonomically designed Canadian Cedar insert gives your back something to rest against through a cold session. The water space measures 48 inches long, 31 inches wide and 28 inches deep.

An insulated marine-grade vinyl cover ships with the SoulCold to hold temperature with the lid on, and the ozone and 20-micron sanitation loop keeps the water easy to look after. A new cedar insert tints the water with natural tannins at first, a harmless discoloration that fades over time.
