Curbside Delivery ships via Freight to the 48 contiguous states. The freight carrier will contact you 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery to set a delivery day and time Monday-Friday, with a 4-hour open window.

They won’t deliver without speaking to you first. **Shipping times are only approximate, and can change depending on environmental conditions, transit issues, and carrier’s availability. Last minute appointments can occur, and it’s out of our hands since the delivery process is managed by the carrier’s. The sauna will be delivered in 1 box or more, depending on the model. All boxes will be strapped to a pallet. All saunas are delivered in a 53-foot semi-truck with a single driver, who will unload the pallet to your curbside or driveway only. Any delivery questions or issues (remote areas, long driveways, large and low hanging trees, apartment complex, stairs, etc.) should be addressed with us prior to shipping your sauna.

Once the driver has unloaded the sauna, we ask that you immediately inspect the boxes for any damage. Please indicate any minor scratches, indentations, or scuff marks to the outside of the boxes on the delivery receipt. You do not need to open the boxes to inspect the sauna. The freight company will deliver your sauna to a carport or first-floor entryway. Please check the box dimensions and ensure it will fit through your doorway. Assembly on these saunas are surprisingly easy and can take between 30-45 minutes, depending on the sauna. Assembly instructions are included with the saunas.

Finnmark FD-2 2-Person Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna

The FD-2 is the two-person cabin in Finnmark's indoor infrared line and the model they call their best seller. Exterior dimensions are 48 inches wide by 44 deep by 78 tall. Inside there are 70 cubic feet — 43 inches wide, 40 deep, 70 high — heated by four Spectrum Plus dual wave panels and Spectrum Carbon 360 panels on the side walls.

It is also the only Finnmark model with a heat-up test published as a chart. Starting from a 69°F cabin in a 67°F building in Ontario, California, the FD-2 read 124°F at thirty minutes and hit its 170°F ceiling at fifty-four. That is one test in one building, and Finnmark present it as such, with the starting conditions printed alongside the result.

Finnmark logged the FD-2 from a 69°F start to 170°F in fifty-four minutes. Four elements of the cabin carry that: the short-wave panels, the long-wave panels, the cedar box they sit in and the treated shell around it.

Finnmark published a heat-up curve for this cabin, and it is the only model in the FD line they have done it for. The test ran in Ontario, California, with the building at 67°F and the cabin starting at 69°F. Thirty minutes in, the FD-2 read 124°F. At fifty-four minutes it reached 170°F, its stated ceiling. Your own room temperature will shift those numbers.

Heat From Four Directions

Open the door and the panel layout is visible in one look. Two Spectrum Plus dual wave heaters sit on the back wall, a third is mounted under the bench and a fourth is set into the front wall beside the door. Spectrum Carbon 360 long-wave panels run down both side walls. The front-wall panel is the addition the FD-1 does not have, and it puts heat on the side of you facing the glass.

From above, the FD-2 is a straightforward two-seat box: 43 inches of width, 40 inches of depth, 70 inches of headroom. Cedar covers the walls, the bench and the backrest. Seventy cubic feet is 25.9 more than the FD-1 gives you, and all of it goes into width and depth — the ceiling height is identical at 70 inches.

Hot Sauna!

"I do like the sauna! I feel the need to take off a star because the directions sent with the sauna are for a different version of the FD-2. Luckily, I found a youtube video about how to build the version of the sauna I received. Also, the sauna did not include one of the screws, and the magnetic covers which are to be placed over the wires do not work. At this price, I expect directions to match the sauna and all necessary pieces in working order. The sauna gets very hot - 130 degrees feels about like the 150 degree sauna at the gym; I can't imagine every being able to tolerate 170 degrees. I am happy with the sauna overall, but Finnmark Designs needs to improve quality control. The pieces are heavy and it definitely requires at least two strong people to build it."
