Human Touch | Laevo ZG
The Laevo is the only Human Touch chair with powered lift assist, which means the chair tilts forward under power to bring a seated user up toward standing at the front edge of the seat. That single function is why people shop this chair, and it makes one figure on the specification more important than anything else here: the maximum load weight of the Laevo is 285 lb. Every other recliner Human Touch sells carries its own rating and several of them are higher, so a buyer arriving from a Perfect Chair page will expect a larger number than this chair holds. Read the 285 lb off this page and use it. Human Touch also publishes a height range of 5 ft 0 in. to 6 ft 0 in. for the Laevo, and 21 in. of rear clearance, the most wall space any chair in the range asks for.
The rest of the chair is a powered zero gravity recliner in leather, offered in Cream, Saddle and Black. Human Touch publishes One-Touch Zero Gravity plus a Beyond ZG setting for an extended range of motion, a favorite seating position you can save and return to on one button, vibration massage, heat across the back, seat and leg areas, air-powered headrest and lumbar support, memory foam in the backrest, seat and pillow, an articulating headrest, and a magnetic remote that mounts on either side. The chair weighs 165 lb. It is warranted for 5 years structural, 3 years parts and 1 year labor, and that one year of labor on a powered lift mechanism is worth reading twice.
Inside the chair
Human Touch lists ten features on the Laevo and writes no sentence under any of them. These four are the ones that change how the chair is used.
The numbers
Every figure here comes from the Laevo's own specification. The load rating in particular is the Laevo's own. It is 285 lb, the same figure the Vesta carries and below what the Gravis is rated for.
Lift assist
Five of the six recliners on this site recline. This one also lifts, and a lift function changes the shopping questions completely. Two published figures decide whether the Laevo is the right chair, and both of them are on this page.
This is the lift working. The whole seat and back assembly rotates forward under power: the front of the seat drops toward the floor, the back rises behind you, and the geometry carries your weight over your feet, so standing becomes a matter of taking the last few inches yourself. Human Touch words the function as Lift Assist for Easy Entry and Exit, and the entry half is the same motion held at the forward end while you sit down. One mechanism, worked both ways, on the only Human Touch chair that has it.
Flat out, the Laevo runs 65 in. long and asks for 21 in. of clearance behind it, the largest rear clearance figure Human Touch publishes on any chair they make. A lift chair travels through more of its own footprint than a plain recliner does, and the backrest has to have somewhere to go at this end of the arc. Measure 21 in. off the wall and put a piece of tape on the floor before you commit to a corner. The recline itself is powered, with One-Touch Zero Gravity and a Beyond ZG setting for extended range of motion.
In a living room it reads as a leather recliner, and that is the honest description of it. Human Touch publishes no safety warning, no contraindication and no usage guidance on the Laevo page, and no regulatory or certification statement of any kind, so we describe it as a powered recliner with a lift function, rated to 285 lb and 6 ft 0 in. and offered in Cream, Saddle or Black. Once you are down in it, vibration massage and heat across the back, seat and leg areas are what the chair does.
Compare
All three fit users from 5 ft 0 in. to 6 ft 0 in. Past that they diverge on load rating, massage type and labor coverage, and the Laevo is the only one that lifts.
