Hyperice Venom 2 Heated Shoulder Wrap

Hyperice Venom 2 Shoulder Wrap

A shoulder is an awkward thing to heat. It slopes, it rotates, and a flat rectangular pad slides off it. The Venom 2 Shoulder is cut for that geometry: 45 × 22 × 2 in, the widest panel of any Venom, shaped to sit over the deltoid and spread across the upper back and chest. It ships in a left version and a right version, so you choose the side before you order.

At 1.1 lbs it is half the weight of the Venom 2 Back. Heat runs at three fixed levels, 113°F (45°C), 122°F (50°C) and 131°F (55°C), with three vibration patterns underneath, and the battery holds 3 hours. An 18V power supply and three international plug adapters are in the box.

Left Or Right

The Specifications That Separate This Wrap

Three of the four Venom 2 wraps run identical electronics. What makes the Shoulder its own product is the panel shape, the side you pick, and the 22 inches of width that lets it stay put on a joint that moves.

🧠
Left Shoulder Or Right Shoulder
This is the only Venom sold as a handed pair. The panel and the strap are mirrored, so the left version wraps a left shoulder and the right version wraps a right one. Pick the side you actually want heated before you check out; there is no reversible option and no ambidextrous cut in the range.

HyperHeat™ Technology
Level 1 at 113°F (45°C), Level 2 at 122°F (50°C), Level 3 at 131°F (55°C). Hyperice's stated aim for HyperHeat™ is even, consistent distribution across the treated area, and it states the Venom 2's heated surface is 2x larger than the original Venom. Hyperice's own comparison claim is that the Venom 2 heats up 6x faster than a standard heating pad; that is a comparison the brand makes, and it publishes no warm-up time in seconds to support it.
Tops out at 131°F
Vibration In Three Patterns
Three settings, chosen on their own button and independent of the heat level, which gives nine heat-and-vibration states in total. Hyperice calls them vibration patterns; the Recovery For Athletes listing calls them levels of vibration frequency. Neither publishes a figure in Hz, so treat the three as steps on a dial.

Premium Materials And Design
Lightweight neoprene with a silicone surface, a refreshed on-device interface and an adjustable compression strap. On a shoulder the strap does more work than it does on a flat panel: it is what keeps 22 inches of neoprene from shifting when the arm comes up.

Made For A Joint That Moves

Eight Things The Shoulder Wrap Gets Right

A shoulder wrap has to hold position on a rounded, mobile joint and still be light enough to wear while you get on with something. These are the specifications that serve that.

Twenty-Two Inches Across The Deltoid

The width is the point. Twenty-two inches lets the heated face cover the cap of the shoulder and carry on into the upper back and the front of the chest, so the panel stays in contact when the arm moves through its range. Two inches of thickness keeps it slim enough to wear under a hoodie.

  • Size: 45 x 22 x 2 in., the widest panel of the four Venom wraps
  • Weight: 1.1 lbs, matching the Venom 2 Leg and half the Venom 2 Back
  • Neoprene wrap + silicone surface: adjust the fit to your liking and clean easily after use
  • Adjustable compression strap; Hyperice publishes no numeric fit range in inches
  • One size per side, with the strap taking up the slack

Three Buttons You Can Find Without Looking

Power, heat, vibration. On a shoulder wrap the panel ends up near your collarbone, which means you can reach the controls with the opposite hand while the wrap is on. The refreshed interface keeps each button to one job so you can step through the levels by feel.

  • HyperHeat™ technology: Level 1, 113F (45C) / Level 2, 122F (50C) / Level 3, 131F (55C)
  • Vibration: 3 levels of vibration frequency, set independently of the heat
  • Battery life: 3 hours per charge, stated as one figure with no per-mode breakdown
  • Remote control of both settings through the Hyperice App over Bluetooth®
  • Hyperice publishes no auto shut-off or session timer for the Venom 2

The Venom Range

Which Venom Fits Which Body Part

Heat scale, vibration patterns, battery and materials are identical across the three Venom 2 wraps, so the decision is purely one of shape. The Venom Go is the exception: a much smaller pod running a lower heat scale.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Order the side you want heated. The panel and strap are mirrored, so a left shoulder wrap fits a left shoulder and a right shoulder wrap fits a right one. There is no reversible or one-size-fits-both version. If both shoulders give you trouble, the Venom 2 Back covers a wide span of the upper and lower back instead.
Hyperice's own guidance is that heat is used for muscle soreness or stiffness, and ice for acute injuries or pain involving inflammation or swelling. The Venom line provides heat and vibration therapy; the Hyperice line of cold wraps provides ice compression therapy. That is the brand's framing of when to reach for which product, and it is not medical advice. A clinician who knows your shoulder is the right person to ask.
The specification is straightforward: heat at three fixed temperatures across a 45 x 22 in panel, with three vibration patterns, for 3 hours per charge. Hyperice's own copy describes the Venom line as suited to everyday aches, a sore lower back and strains in the shoulder or knee, and says targeted heat and vibration helps the body loosen and warm up faster. Those are the brand's claims about what the device does for you, and they sit outside the specification sheet.
45 x 22 x 2 in. Twenty-two inches of width is the most of any Venom, which is what lets the heated face sit over the cap of the shoulder and extend into the upper back and chest. For comparison, the Venom 2 Back is 48 x 11 x 2 in and the Venom 2 Leg is 38 x 14 x 2 in.
1.1 lbs. That matches the Venom 2 Leg and is half the 2.3 lbs of the Venom 2 Back. On a shoulder the weight matters more than it does on a seated back wrap, because you are more likely to be moving around while wearing it.
Three levels: 113°F (45°C), 122°F (50°C) and 131°F (55°C). This is the same scale used by the Venom 2 Back and Venom 2 Leg. The Venom Go runs a different and lower scale of 105°F, 109°F and 113°F, so do not read these temperatures across to it.
That is Hyperice's comparison, stated in its own words as heating up 6x faster than a standard heating pad. Hyperice publishes no warm-up time in seconds for any Venom, and no test conditions for the comparison, so there is nothing to check it against. Elsewhere in the same product family the identical 6x figure is quoted against "other devices", a different baseline entirely. Read it as a marketing claim from the brand.
Hyperice's name for the heating system in the Venom 2, which the company describes as delivering a more even and consistent distribution of heat across the treated area. Hyperice also states the Venom 2's heated surface area is 2x larger than the original Venom. On a shoulder, even distribution is what stops the panel from being hot at the deltoid and cool at the edges.
There are three, described by Hyperice as three distinct vibration patterns and by the Recovery For Athletes listing as 3 levels of vibration frequency. They are selected on a separate button from the heat, so any pattern can run at any temperature. No frequency in Hz is published, so there is no measured figure to compare against another device.
3 hours. Hyperice publishes that as a single figure and does not break it out by heat level or by whether vibration is running, so expect Level 3 with vibration to draw more than Level 1 alone. No charge time is published either.
A neoprene wrap with a silicone surface. Hyperice's own line for it is that you adjust the fit to your liking and clean easily after use. The silicone face is the side that meets skin, and it wipes down; the neoprene body holds the shape you cinch it to.
Hyperice lists the Venom 2 as TSA friendly, and the Recovery For Athletes listing describes it as approved by TSA for carry-on. At 1.1 lbs and 2 in thick it packs flat. Rules on lithium-battery devices change, so check the current guidance before you fly.
Yes. Bluetooth® connects the wrap to the Hyperice App for remote control of heat and vibration. Pairing is optional; the three buttons on the wrap do everything the app does.
Effectively, yes. All three Venom 2 wraps publish the same 113°F / 122°F / 131°F heat scale, the same three vibration patterns, the same 3 hour battery and the same neoprene-and-silicone construction. Dimensions and weight are the only published differences, plus the left and right handing that is unique to the Shoulder.
Hyperice lists the Venom 2 as FSA/HSA eligible. Your plan administrator makes the final call on any individual claim, so confirm with them before submitting.
