iRESTORE Elite | Laser Helmet

iRESTORE Elite Laser Hair Growth System

The iRESTORE Elite Laser Hair Growth System is a laser helmet carrying 500 diodes, 300 laser diodes and 200 LEDs, across three wavelengths of 625, 655 and 680 nm. Total optical power comes to 2,500 mW, the highest figure of the three iRESTORE helmets. It runs a 12 minute session daily, where the two white helmets run 25 minutes every other day, and the shell weighs 1.20 lb on the head.

The shell is the black one in the range and it is the extended shape, taking emitters forward to the hairline, across the temples and over the crown. A handheld controller with a timer display runs the clock and connects to the helmet on a cable, and a universal power adapter supplies it. The battery pack built for this model is the Elite pack, which clips to a belt and joins the digital remote magnetically.

A protective carry case travels in the carton with this helmet, alongside the universal power adapter, the controller with its timer display, a user manual and a quick start guide. Neither of the two white helmets includes a case in its carton, and the one case iRESTORE sells on its own is the iRESTORE Professional Carrying Case, shaped to the iRESTORE Professional.

The warranty term on this device is 3 years, a year longer than the two white helmets carry. Returns on these hair devices close at 12 months from the date of purchase, the authorization is raised between day 365 and day 400, and a 25 percent service fee applies to the refund. The iRESTORE Elite holds FDA 510(k) clearance K222081. It is a Class II device, product code OAP, under 21 CFR 890.5500. Each laser diode on this helmet runs at under 5 mW, which places it in Class 3R as a laser product, and the cautions supplied with it are set out in full further on.

The hardware

Five Hundred Diodes and Three Wavelengths

Three wavelengths, the highest emitter count in the range and a daily 12 minute cycle are the three things this helmet does differently from the two white ones.

01

Three Hundred Lasers Beside Two Hundred LEDs

500 emitters fill the inner face of this shell: 300 laser diodes and 200 LEDs. The laser count is where the gap opens up against the rest of the range, since the iRESTORE Professional carries 82 laser diodes and the iRESTORE Essential carries 51. LED count holds at 200, the same as the iRESTORE Professional. Taken together the 500 emitters come to 2,500 mW of total optical power, the highest total of the three helmets.

500 diodes

02

Twenty-Five Hundred Milliwatts Across the Shell

Total optical power for the helmet is 2,500 mW, against 1,410 mW on the iRESTORE Professional and 600 mW on the iRESTORE Essential. Output and emitter count are two separate numbers and both belong on a comparison, because a helmet can gain emitters without gaining output at the same rate. On this model the two rise together, and the daily 12 minute session is the pattern the device is built around.

2,500 mW

03

Three Wavelengths at Once on One Helmet

No other helmet in the iRESTORE range is built on more than one wavelength. This one emits at 625, 655 and 680 nm, all three in the red part of the visible range, while the iRESTORE Essential and the iRESTORE Professional run at 655 nm on their own. There is no mode switch and no wavelength to pick: the three are part of the array itself and they are on whenever the helmet is on.

625, 655, 680 nm

04

Twelve Minutes Instead of Twenty-Five

A session on this helmet runs 12 minutes and the helmet goes on every day. The other two helmets run 25 minutes on alternating days, so the two patterns differ in both length and frequency, and the daily one is the pattern written into this model's own instructions. The controller counts the 12 minutes down on its display and closes the session at the end, with nothing to set beyond starting it.

The Elite Carton Includes a Protective Carry Case

Eight figures and facts carry the comparison between the three helmets, and one of them is the protective carry case packed alongside the power adapter, the controller with its timer display, a user manual and a quick start guide.

01

Five Hundred Diodes in the Shell

500 emitters fill the inner face, 300 of them laser diodes and 200 of them LEDs.

02

Output of 2,500 mW

Total optical power for this helmet is 2,500 mW.

03

Three Wavelengths at 625, 655 and 680 nm

The array emits at three wavelengths, where the other two helmets emit at 655 nm alone.

04

The Helmet Weighs 1.20 lb

Weight on the head is 1.20 lb, which sits between the other two helmets in the range.

05

A Protective Carry Case in the Carton

A protective carry case travels with this helmet, and neither of the other two includes one in its carton.

06

Twelve Minutes Every Day

A session lasts 12 minutes and the helmet goes on daily rather than on alternating days.

07

The Elite Battery Pack Is a Separate Order

The pack built for this helmet is the Elite one, and it is ordered on its own.

08

Three Years of Warranty on the Device

iRESTORE warrants this helmet for 3 years, a year longer than the two white helmets.

Wavelengths

The Only iRESTORE Helmet on Three Wavelengths

Every other helmet iRESTORE sells runs a single wavelength of 655 nm. This one carries 625 nm, 655 nm and 680 nm together in the same array, spread across the 300 laser diodes and 200 LEDs on the inner face. All three sit in the red part of the visible range, within a span of 55 nm from the shortest to the longest. Nothing has to be selected on the controller, since the whole array runs for the full 12 minutes.

  • 625, 655 and 680 nm in one array
  • The only three wavelength helmet in the range
  • No mode switch and no wavelength to choose
  • The full array runs for the whole session

Inside

Five Hundred Diodes Inside the Black Shell

The inner face holds the densest array of the three helmets, 300 laser diodes and 200 LEDs across a shell shaped to reach the hairline, the temples and the crown. Laser count is where most of the increase lands, at 300 here against 82 on the iRESTORE Professional, and total optical power follows it up to 2,500 mW. The shell weighs 1.20 lb, a little under the iRESTORE Professional, so the extra emitters do not come with extra weight on the head.

  • 300 laser diodes of the edge-emitting type
  • 200 super-luminescent LEDs alongside them
  • 2,500 mW of total optical power
  • 1.20 lb carried on the head

Power

The Elite Battery Pack Joins the Remote

Out of the carton the helmet draws power through a universal power adapter and a cable to the controller. The iRESTORE Rechargeable Battery Pack - Elite is the pack built for this model, holding 4,000 mAh and 20 Wh, drawing 5V/2.4A on charge and delivering 5V/2.0A. It clips to a belt and joins the digital remote magnetically, so no cable runs between the pack and the helmet. Its return window is 30 days and it does not ship internationally.

  • Universal power adapter supplied in the carton
  • 4,000 mAh and 20 Wh in the Elite pack
  • 5V/2.4A in and 5V/2.0A out
  • Magnetic join to the digital remote

Questions

What to Check Before Ordering an iRESTORE Elite

500 in total: 300 laser diodes and 200 LEDs. No other helmet in the range carries as many emitters, and the laser count is where most of the gap sits, since the iRESTORE Professional carries 82 laser diodes and the iRESTORE Essential carries 51.

625, 655 and 680 nm, all three in the same array. It is the only iRESTORE helmet with more than one wavelength; the iRESTORE Essential and the iRESTORE Professional both run at 655 nm alone.

12 minutes, daily. The controller runs the clock and stops the session at the end of the 12 minutes. The two white helmets work to a different pattern of 25 minutes on alternating days, so the daily cycle belongs to this model alone.

Yes. A protective carry case is packed in the carton along with the universal power adapter, the controller with its timer display, a user manual and a quick start guide. The iRESTORE Professional Carrying Case is the only case iRESTORE sells on its own, and it is shaped to the iRESTORE Professional.

The iRESTORE Rechargeable Battery Pack - Elite. It stores 4,000 mAh and 20 Wh and delivers 5V/2.0A, a higher output than the pack sold for the two white helmets. Order the Elite pack for this device.

1.20 lb on the head. That places it between the iRESTORE Professional at 1.25 lb and the iRESTORE Essential at 1.03 lb, even though it carries the most emitters of the three.

Anyone under the age of 18, and anyone the cautions supplied with the device cover. Do not use the helmet where a medical condition leaves your skin sensitive to sun or light, where there is cancer on the scalp, or where sensitive skin or an allergy to light at 640 to 665 nm is involved. Do not use it on wet hair, and keep it away from water.

This helmet is a Class 3R laser product with each laser diode running at under 5 mW, and the eye instruction that ships with it is short: do not look into the laser light directly, and use no magnifier, microscope or other optical instrument to look at it. The array faces in at the head while the shell is being worn.

3 years on the device, a year more than the two white helmets carry. A return has to be started inside 12 months, the authorization for it is raised between day 365 and day 400, and a 25 percent service fee applies to the refund. Battery packs sit on a 30 day window of their own.
