Jugs Standard L-Shaped Protective Screen

The Jugs Standard L-Shaped Protective Screen is an unpadded protective screen for youth leagues and backyards, seven feet high and seven feet wide with a 3 ft. by 3 ft. cutout for the throwing arm. It is the batting practice shape, built for the person throwing to stand behind. The L notch clears the stride leg so a full delivery finishes behind netting.

The Standard Series frame is 1.5 in. diameter 1020 cold-rolled steel tubing at a 1.2 mm wall with bolted joints and 45 ply double-thick Dacron polyester netting. No frame padding and the lighter 45 ply net are its two structural differences from the Blue Series. Thirteen carriage bolts and one 1/2 in. wrench put it together, with no welding or lacing. A 1-year guarantee on the netting and the frame. The Standard C-Shaped Screen is the narrower 5 ft. version with a 33 in. by 18 in. cutout for fastpitch, and the Protector Blue Series L-Shaped Screen adds padding to the same shape.
