Jugs Standard C-Shaped Protective Screen

The C-shape gives a fastpitch pitcher a 33 in. by 18 in. window in a 7 ft. by 5 ft. panel, with the netting wrapping back on the throwing side. Its 5 ft. width takes up two feet less of a bullpen lane than the 7 ft. L-shape, and the smaller cutout sits where a windmill arm releases.

Jugs points the Standard Series at youth leagues and backyards. The frame is 1.5 in. diameter 1020 cold-rolled steel tubing at a 1.2 mm wall with bolted joints and 45 ply double-thick Dacron poly-E netting. No frame padding, which is the line between this tier and the two padded Protector tiers, and 45 ply is the lightest of the three nettings Jugs hangs on these screens. For a pitcher throwing overhand batting practice, the wider 3 ft. window on the Standard L-Shaped Screen is the right shape. If the screen will live in a facility, the padded Protector Blue Series C-Shaped Screen has the same dimensions with 60 ply netting.
