Full-Length Cold Plunge
Length is the argument for the XL. Its bathing well measures 70 inches from end to end and 23 inches from the floor of the tub to the rim, which is seven inches longer and six inches deeper inside than the standard Pro. Luxury Spas lists it as seating a person up to 6'9". Outside, it takes up 75 by 32 inches of ground and stands 28 inches high.
Everything mechanical is carried inside that cabinet: a 1 HP cool and heat pump rated from 37°F up to 104°F, a circulation pump, and a multi-stage filtration and conditioning system for chilled water. It runs from one dedicated household circuit at 15 amps and 120 volts, drawing 750 watts in total. A side-mounted LED panel handles temperature at the tub, and smartphone connectivity handles it from indoors.
Specification Detail
The XL shares its chiller and its electrical requirement with the smaller Pro. Where it differs is the volume of water it asks that chiller to hold, and the room a tall user gets once the lid is off.
Why Athletes Choose This
Each of these comes from the XL's own specification sheet.
Closer Look
Interior height is what separates a plunge you sit upright in from one you can settle into. The XL gives you 23 inches of it over a 70 inch length, so a taller user can extend their legs and still get their shoulders under the surface. Interior width stays at 30 inches, the same across the plunge range.
The cabinet stands 28 inches tall and measures 75 by 32 inches in plan. Subtract the interior and you can see how the tub is built: two inches of shell and wall across the width, five inches of structure below the well, five inches of cabinet beyond the ends of the water. Plan the pad on the exterior figures and leave access to the panelled side.
The XL arrives as a plug and play unit: no separate chiller to site, no external plumbing run, one dedicated 15 amp 120V circuit at 750 watts. Temperature can be set at the side panel or through the smartphone connection, which is the more useful of the two if you want the water at 40°F by the time you finish training.
Compare the Range
Three single-person plunges and one dual-well spa. The plunges share a 1 HP chiller and a 750 watt, 15 amp 120V supply, so the choice comes down to interior geometry.
