68 Stainless Jets, Rectangular Shell

Luxury Spas Danika 5-Person Hot Tub

The Danika is the only five-person Luxury Spas model that is not square. Its shell runs 87 inches long by 74 inches wide and stands 36 inches tall, which is a useful shape if your pad is longer than it is deep, or if 82 to 85 inches across is more than the space allows.

Inside are 68 stainless steel adjustable jets in two kinds: 36 water jets and 32 rotating massage jets. Two 2.5 HP jet pumps drive them, an air bubble pump adds a separate bubble circuit, and a third pump does filtration only. One ultra-comfortable lounge seat anchors the layout. Total draw is 9,250 watts on a 50 amp 240V circuit.

Four Pumps, Two Jet Types

How The Danika Is Plumbed

Four separate pumps do four separate jobs here. That is more separation of duties than most spas at this size carry, and it is what allows water massage, air massage and filtration to run without competing for the same motor.

🔄
36 Water Jets, 32 Rotating
Two different actions from one shell. The 36 adjustable water jets hold a fixed line of pressure you aim where you want it. The 32 rotating jets spin their nozzle, so the stream travels in a circle across the muscle underneath.

🌪
A Dedicated Air Pump
The bubble system has its own pump, so it is not sharing flow with the water jets. Luxury Spas describes the effect as floating in a sea of thousands of tiny air bubbles. It can be run with the jets on or by itself.

🛠
Stainless Steel Jet Faces
All 68 outlets are stainless steel and adjustable at the face. Stainless holds its finish against treated water and does not chalk the way some plastic escutcheons do over several seasons.

2.5 HP Per Jet Pump
Two adjustable flow pumps at 2.5 horsepower each sit between the 2HP models and the 3HP models in this range. Total connected load works out at 9,250 watts.

Why Athletes Choose This

What The Danika Is Good At

Two jet actions and a separate air circuit mean you can change what the water is doing without changing seats. The rectangular shell is the other reason people land here.

The Only Rectangular Five-Seater

Thirteen inches of difference between length and width changes what the spa can go on. Where an 85 inch square shell needs 85 inches in both directions, the Danika needs 87 in one and 74 in the other. Along a fence line, a narrow deck or a side patio, that is often the difference between fitting and not.

Water, Rotation And Air

Luxury Spas splits the Danika's 68 outlets into 36 adjustable water jets and 32 rotating massage jets, so the same seat can give you a held pressure point or a moving one. The air bubble system runs from a fourth pump entirely of its own. Two adjustable flow pumps at 2.5 HP supply the water side.

Heat, Ozone, Insulation

Titanium Heater And Hydrozone Ozonator

Heating is a 5.5kW titanium element, chosen for corrosion resistance in treated water. The Hydrozone ozonator injects ozone into the circulating stream to cut down how much sanitizer the spa needs, and the filtration system handles solids. Multi-layer foam fills the cabinet cavity for cold-climate efficiency, and multi-color underwater LEDs light the shell.

The Five-Person Range

Six Spas, Compared On Jets And Shape

Jet counts across these six run from 51 to 77, and the jets themselves are not the same type from model to model. Shell shape is the other variable worth checking before you commit to a pad.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

68. The breakdown is 36 adjustable water jets plus 32 rotating massage jets, and the feature list gives 68 as the total. An older line of marketing copy on this product claims a higher figure that its own breakdown contradicts, so we publish 68 and nothing else.
A water jet holds a steady stream at one point. A rotating jet spins its nozzle so the stream sweeps a circle. The Danika carries 36 water jets and 32 rotating jets. Thirty-two is the highest rotating-jet count Luxury Spas lists on a five-person spa; the Galley has 26 and the Social has 16.
Because the lounge seat wants length. At 87 inches long the Danika gives a reclining bather room to stretch, and pulling the width in to 74 inches keeps the total footprint reasonable. It is the only one of the six five-person spas that is not square.
Its narrow dimension is 74 inches, which is 8 to 11 inches less than the square models in this range. Measure your gate, path and any corner the spa has to turn against 74 inches wide and 87 inches long, plus the 36 inch height if it travels upright.
Luxury Spas does not publish a gallon figure or a dry weight for the Danika, and we are not going to estimate one. Ask us and we will get the fill volume confirmed by the manufacturer before you order, particularly if the spa is going on a deck.
A dedicated 50 amp 240V circuit from a licensed electrician. Connected load is 9,250 watts. Book the electrician ahead of the delivery date so the spa can be commissioned when it lands.
Two 2.5 HP adjustable flow pumps drive the water jets. One air bubble pump feeds the bubble system. One water filtration pump circulates through the filter while the spa is idle, so the water keeps turning over when nobody is in it.
Yes. The air system has its own pump and its own control, so it runs on its own or on top of the water jets. Air bubbles feel lighter across the skin than a pressurized water jet does.
Luxury Spas' name for the ozone injection system on this spa. Ozone oxidizes organic material in the circulating water, which is why the manufacturer says it reduces maintenance. It works alongside the multi-stage filtration and conditioning system, and you still test and balance the water.
Energy efficient multi-layer foam insulation, which Luxury Spas specifies for cold-climate running costs. The same construction is used on the Infinity and the Galley.
A color changing underwater LED mood lighting system and a premium Bluetooth sound system, both standard. Luxury Spas does not give an LED count for the Danika.
A UV-rated insulated spa cover and premium steps, valued together at $495 by Luxury Spas, plus the three cushioned neck pillows fitted in the shell.
Close on jet count, 68 against 69, but built differently. The Galley is an 85 inch square shell at 39 inches tall with two upright body-massage seats and a foot massager, on 2HP pumps. The Danika is 87 by 74 inches with a single lounger, bigger 2.5 HP pumps and 32 rotating jets. Shape and pump size are the deciders.
The Infinity has 77 jets, two lounge seats and water features, in an 85 inch square shell on 2HP pumps. The Danika has 68 jets on 2.5 HP pumps, one lounger, and a footprint 11 inches narrower. If patio width is tight, the Danika is the one that fits.
A 10 year warranty as advertised by Luxury Spas. The terms are in their paperwork, which we will forward when you ask.
