Osaki | Model RT5951F

Osaki 4D Aeris Duo Massage Chair

The Aeris Duo runs two massage mechanisms at the same time on a single 1431 mm SL track. The upper mechanism is 4D: a four-ball head on a nylon fiberglass curved arm, with its own walking, kneading and tapping motors, an independent radial pump, a soft-touch airbag behind a hard curved arm, and 60 mm of protrusion. It covers 840 mm of the track. The lower mechanism is 2D and works the waist and hips, with a four-ball head on a fiberglass spring curved arm and synchronous kneading and walking motors, covering 830 mm. Their ranges overlap by 360 mm.

Around that track sit 44 airbags on 7 valves: 12 at the feet, 8 at the legs, 16 across the arms, 4 at the hip sides and 4 at the shoulders. The waist carries two 370 × 120 mm carbon fiber heating elements with three levels, and an air cooling circuit with three levels of airflow. Twelve auto programs sit in four categories at three intensities, with six manual techniques underneath them, and everything is driven from a 7 inch touchscreen controller, armrest quick buttons or voice. The chair ships in Black, Brown and Taupe.

What the Specification Actually Says

Osaki call the Aeris Duo a market disruptor. Here is the build underneath that: two mechanisms on one track, 44 independently fed airbags, a heated and cooled waist section, and a safety system that reacts in 50 ms.

Two Mechanisms, One Track
The 4D upper mechanism and the 2D waist and hip mechanism run at the same time on one 1431 mm SL track. The upper unit covers 840 mm, the lower covers 830 mm, and the two working ranges share 360 mm of track. The 4D unit has five intensity levels; massage speed runs across six.

💨
44 Airbags on 7 Valves
Twelve airbags at the feet, eight at the legs, sixteen across the arms, four at the hip sides and four at the shoulders. Osaki inflate each airbag from its own dedicated air supply, and they say that a dedicated feed per airbag produces faster inflation and stronger pressure than one feed shared across a group.

🌡
Waist Heat and Waist Cooling
Two 370 × 120 mm carbon fiber elements heat the waist across three adjustable levels. A separate air cooling circuit moves air through the same section at three levels of airflow. Osaki frame the pair seasonally: cooling in summer, heat in autumn and winter.
3 levels each
🛡
Anti-Pinch Detection
Three points are monitored: the control box, the calf rests, and the gap where the calf section meets the seat frame. Detection is capacitive, plus an infrared dual-beam at the legrest and seat frame. Response time is 50 ms. Overheat protection runs alongside it.

Three Parts of the Chair Worth Reading About

Osaki 4D Aeris Duo massage chair footrest and leg system
Leg and foot

A 360 Degree Leg and Foot System

The lower half of the chair is a separate machine from the track. Calves get kneading, rubbing and scraping from triple-row rollers with airbags on both sides. The soles get three-disc scraping that alternates forward and reverse, with airbags on both sides of the feet. The whole assembly extends itself 130 mm forward and back to meet different leg lengths, and the angle adjusts across a range of 16.5 to 89 degrees.

  • Automatic forward and backward extension of 130 mm
  • Adjustable legrest angle from 16.5 to 89 degrees
  • Triple-row rollers for calf kneading, rubbing and scraping
  • Three-disc sole scraping, alternating forward and reverse
  • Twelve airbags at the feet, eight at the legs

Ankles

Two-Direction Ankle Twisting

The ankle mechanism twists in two directions, working independently of the calf rollers and the sole discs above and below it. It sits inside the same legrest that extends 130 mm and swings through 16.5 to 89 degrees, so the moving parts around the ankle are the ones Osaki guard most closely: the calf rests and the calf-to-seat-frame gap both carry anti-pinch detection, capacitive at the calf rests and infrared dual-beam at the legrest and seat frame, with a 50 ms response.

  • Two-direction twisting massage for the ankles
  • Anti-pinch at the calf rests and the calf-to-seat frame gap
  • Capacitive detection plus infrared dual-beam
  • 50 ms response time

Position

Two Zero Gravity Settings, 131 to 156 Degrees

The backrest holds two stored zero gravity positions between 131 and 156 degrees, so the shallower and the deeper recline are both one button away. One Touch Rocking moves the whole frame. Before a program starts, the chair scans the body to place the shoulder position, and that position can then be nudged by hand from the controller. Reclined, the chair occupies 2050 mm front to back and stands 830 mm tall, which is roughly 80.7 in by 32.7 in.

  • Two zero gravity settings, backrest 131 to 156 degrees
  • One Touch Rocking
  • Auto body scanning with manual shoulder fine-tuning
  • Upright footprint 1650 (D) × 770 (W) × 1150 (H) mm
  • Reclined footprint 2050 (D) × 770 (W) × 830 (H) mm

Three Osaki 4D Chairs

All three run a 4D mechanism on an SL track with heat and zero gravity. What separates the Aeris Duo is the second mechanism working the waist and hips at the same time as the first, and an air cooling circuit at the waist.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The upper mechanism is 4D and the lower mechanism is 2D. Osaki's sell sheet groups them under the name "4D Dual Mechanism", so it is worth being exact: the 4D unit is a four-ball head on a nylon fiberglass curved arm with separate walking, kneading and tapping motors, an independent radial pump and 60 mm of protrusion, running across five intensity levels. The 2D unit is a four-ball head on a fiberglass spring curved arm with synchronous kneading and walking motors, built for the waist and hips. The genuinely unusual part is that both mechanisms run at the same time on one track.
The upper mechanism covers 840 mm of the 1431 mm track and the lower covers 830 mm. Added together that is 1670 mm across a 1431 mm track, so the two working ranges share 360 mm. That shared band sits over the waist and lower back, where the 4D head and the 2D waist-and-hip head can both reach.
44 airbags on 7 valves: 12 at the feet, 8 at the legs, 16 across the arms, 4 at the hip sides and 4 at the shoulders. Osaki state that each airbag is inflated independently from a dedicated air supply, and that this gives faster inflation and stronger pressure than a system that inflates several airbags from one feed.
Yes, and they are two separate systems. Heat comes from two 370 × 120 mm carbon fiber elements with three adjustable levels. Cooling is an air cooling circuit with three adjustable levels of airflow through the same waist section. Osaki describe the split by season: cooling in summer, heat in autumn and winter. Heat at the waist is common at this size of chair; active air cooling is not.
Twelve auto programs in four categories, each running at three intensity levels. Peak: Power Stretch, Energize, Tranquil Massage. Recovery: Deep Tissue, Clear Mind, Refresh. Posture: Upper Body, Back & Spine, Lower Body. Schedule: Wake Up, Power Nap, Sleep Mode. Those are the program names as Osaki ship them.
Six manual techniques: Kneading, Tapping, Sync, Shiatsu, Knocking and Deep Shiatsu. On top of those you set 4D intensity across five levels and massage speed across six, choose the zone, and adjust the shoulder position by hand after the body scan.
The legrest extends itself forward and back by 130 mm, and its angle adjusts from 16.5 to 89 degrees. Inside it, the calves get triple-row rollers for kneading, rubbing and scraping, the soles get three-disc scraping that alternates forward and reverse, and airbags sit on both sides of the calves and both sides of the feet.
There are two zero gravity settings, with the backrest between 131 and 156 degrees. One button takes the chair to either. One Touch Rocking moves the frame separately from the recline.
Osaki publish it in millimetres. Upright: 1650 (D) × 770 (W) × 1150 (H) mm. Reclined: 2050 (D) × 770 (W) × 830 (H) mm. Converted approximately, that is about 65 × 30.3 × 45.3 in upright and about 80.7 × 30.3 × 32.7 in reclined. Those inch figures are conversions of Osaki's metric specification, not separately published numbers, so treat them as approximate when you measure a room.
Net weight is 99.3 kg and gross weight, crated, is 119 kg. Converted approximately, that is about 219 lb net and about 262 lb in the crate. The pound figures are again conversions of the kilogram specification, so treat them as approximate. Plan the delivery route around the crated figure.
Three ways: a 7 inch touchscreen controller, quick buttons on the armrest, and voice control. The voice command set covers all twelve programs plus pause, continue and power off. Built into the chair are wireless Bluetooth stereo speakers on the left and right, a wireless charger and a USB charger. The chair gives voice prompts and resets itself automatically when a massage finishes.
It runs an auto body scan to find the shoulder position, which you can then fine-tune by hand. Shoulder detection is dual: a Hall sensor plus microcurrent detection. Osaki also describe a health detection module that reads fatigue, heart rate and blood oxygen and selects a program from those readings; it is a chair feature for choosing a program and the Aeris Duo is not a medical device.
Anti-pinch detection covers three points: the control box, the calf rests, and the gap where the calf section meets the seat frame. Two methods are used, capacitive and an infrared dual-beam at the legrest and seat frame, with a 50 ms response time. Overheat protection runs alongside them.
The chair is finished in durable, water-resistant PU leather and operates on 110–220 V.
