Osaki | 4D Pro Maestro LE 2.0
The Osaki 4D Pro Maestro LE 2.0 is a 4D massage chair that carries its heating element inside the back roller. The two Platinum chairs sitting next to it heat from fixed pads, the lumbar on the Platinum 4D Master and the feet and lumbar on the Platinum Ai Xrest 4D+, while the Maestro LE 2.0 heats from the roller itself. Osaki call the part the Heated Back Roller, and what it changes is where the warm spot goes. It rides with the 4D massage mechanism along the SL-track, from the base of your skull to the edge of your hamstrings, so the heat is wherever the roller is working at that moment.
The trade against those two Platinum chairs is program count, and it is the figure worth checking before you shortlist: the Maestro LE 2.0 carries 8 auto programs and 6 massage styles, where the 4D Master and the Ai Xrest 4D+ both carry 16 auto programs against the same 6 styles. What the 4D in the name buys is the same across all three. On a 2D chair the rollers hold one depth for the whole stroke and you change only speed and position. A 3D chair lets you push the heads further out of the backrest and hold them there. On a 4D chair like this one the depth is not a setting you hold at all: the mechanism moves the heads in and out as they travel, so a single pass from your neck to your hamstrings arrives at your shoulder blades at one pressure and at your lumbar at another. On the other side of the scale you get computerized body scanning before a program starts, deep calf kneading in the legrest, a touchscreen controller with a shortcut panel on the armrest, intelligent voice control, surround sound Bluetooth speakers and a USB plus wireless phone charger. Black, Brown and Taupe are the three finishes, the chair itself weighs about 244.6 lb, and the maximum user weight is 260 lb.
Inside the chair
Heat that moves, a scan that sizes the track to you, calf work with its own name, and a program count you should know about before you buy.

Closer look
The heat source on the Maestro LE 2.0 is the back roller. Osaki build the element into the four-dimensional rollers and call the part the Heated Back Roller. Because the 4D mechanism carries it, the warmth travels the full SL-track. A session that runs your neck gets warm at the neck. A session that runs your lower back gets warm at the lower back. You never have to choose the placement in advance, because whichever program you press sets it.
Computerized body scanning runs before the first stroke of any program, so the chair reads your back, locates your shoulder line, and maps the fixed SL-track onto your torso, putting the top of the stroke at the base of your skull and the bottom of it at your hamstrings. Muscle tension detection sits alongside it, reading across your torso and shaping what the program does once it starts. The frame those two systems work inside is 20.5 in. across the shoulders and 17 in. across the seat, so measure across your own shoulders if you carry width through the upper back.
Zero gravity reclining and space saving technology both come built in, and here is what they cost you in floor space. Upright the Maestro LE 2.0 measures 31.9 in. wide by 61.1 in. long by 48.1 in. tall. Reclined it measures 31.9 in. by 79.5 in. by 46.9 in. The length grows by 18.4 in. as the back drops and the legrest comes up, and the height falls by 1.2 in. Width never changes, which is the number that matters in a narrow room. Space saving technology is what keeps that 18.4 in. of growth off your wall. As the backrest lowers, the whole seat assembly walks forward on its base, so the chair takes the length it needs out of the floor in front of it and the headrest stays close to where it started.
Compare
Two things split these three chairs: where the heat sits, and how many auto programs come loaded. The Maestro LE 2.0 puts heat in the roller and carries 8 auto programs, and the other two heat from fixed pads and carry 16. Everything under that is common ground, with one 4D mechanism on an SL-track, muscle tension detection, zero gravity reclining and a 260 lb user limit on all three.
