Osaki | OS-Pinnacle LE
The Osaki OS-Pinnacle LE is a 2D massage chair whose rollers move up and down the track and side to side across your back, kneading and tapping as they go. Its full SL-Track runs in one curve from your neck to your glutes and carries on past the tailbone and out under the seat. Nothing interrupts the stroke where your spine meets the seat, while an S-track is the shorter shape that stops at the lower back. A computer body scan runs at the start of every session and reads your shoulder position and the curve of your back before the rollers start.
Around the rollers, 22 airbags cover your shoulders, arms, calves and feet, and infrared heating comes on in two places, the lower back and both calves, at approximately 75 to 83 degrees F. The footrest carries dual rotating foot rollers and extends up to 8 in. from the remote, which is how the chair fits users up to 6 ft 2 in. tall. You get 12 auto programs and 6 manual programs, run from a full touchscreen tablet controller or the quick access panel on top of the side armrest. The Pinnacle LE weighs 180.8 lb, measures 29.0 in. across in both the upright and the reclined position, and comes in Black, Brown and Taupe.
Inside the chair
The Pinnacle LE puts a 2D mechanism on a full-length SL-Track, surrounds it with 22 airbags, adds heat in two places, and runs a body scan before every session on a chair only 29.0 in. wide.
The list
Every feature on the OS-Pinnacle LE is standard across Black, Brown and Taupe, from 12 auto programs and 6 manual programs to dual rotating foot rollers and an 8 in. footrest.
Closer look
A 2D mechanism gives you two directions of movement, along the track and across the width of your back, and the roller heads knead and tap through both. The track it runs on is a full SL track, one curve from the neck and shoulders past the lower back and under the seat, with nothing interrupting it at the hips. That extended shape separates an SL-track massage chair from an S-track that finishes higher up. On top of that sit 12 auto programs, among them Recovery, Deep Tissue, Night Care, Thai Stretch, Gentle, Athletic, Full Back, Neck & Shoulders and Waist & Hip. Six manual programs are there when you want to pick the technique yourself: Kneading, Knocking, Shiatsu, Tapping, Rolling and Swedish, and shiatsu is the one that presses and holds instead of rolling.
22 airbags wrap your shoulders, arms, calves and feet, firing in sequence so the compression moves along a limb from one end to the other. Infrared heating runs in two places at approximately 75 to 83 degrees F, the lower back and both calves. The calf panels are the part worth noting, because a chair this size often heats the lumbar alone. At the base of the footrest, dual foot rollers rotate under your soles. The leg rest above them extends up to 8 in. from the remote, to suit users up to 6 ft 2 in. tall. The armrest lining carries mini nodes for a hand massage while all of that runs.
Upright, the Pinnacle LE measures 29.0 in. W x 60.0 in. L x 48.0 in. H. Reclined it measures 29.0 in. W x 63.5 in. L x 48.0 in. H, so the chair takes only 3.5 in. of extra length across the full recline, and the height holds at 48.0 in. throughout. Width stays at 29.0 in. in both positions, and 29.0 in. is also the minimum doorway you need for delivery, which is narrow for a chair carrying a full SL track. At 180.8 lb assembled it is light enough for two people to place, and it ships in a single box measuring 51.2 in. x 30.3 in. x 48.1 in. at 211.0 lb. Zero gravity reclining is the position where your knees end up higher than your heart and your spine carries less of you. A space saving design is built in as well.
Compare
The Pinnacle LE is the 2D chair of this group, and at 29.0 in. across it matches the Oasis 3D as the narrowest of the four, with heat at the calves as well as the low back. The Oasis 3D adds a second set of rollers at the glutes, the Helix LE brings a true 4D head, and the Aeris Duo runs two mechanisms on one track.
