Portable Lying Hyperbaric Chamber · 1.5 ATA

OxyRevo Apex32 1.5 ATA Portable Hyperbaric Chamber

The Apex32 is the 1.5 ATA chamber in OxyRevo's soft lying range. A pressure adjustment converter also sets it to 1.4, 1.3 or 1.2 ATA with one press, so a first block of sessions can run low and move up later. OxyRevo's stated reason for building the converter is easing ear pressure discomfort over those early sessions. The cabin is 90 inches long and 32 inches in diameter (230 × 80 cm), the same footprint as the 1.4 ATA Elite32 for 4.4 lbs more on the scale.

Seven large double-layered windows are set into the top, sides and foot of the shell, two more than the Elite line carries. OxyRevo's stated reason for that glazing count is more light and a wider view out. The shell is High Strength TPU with high-frequency heat-welded seams and the whole chamber weighs 33 lbs (15 kg). The cover is offered in four colours: black, blue, grey or white.

The Build

Four Things That Separate The Apex From The Elite

Two of these are the reason the Apex line exists: the pressure it holds and the amount of glazing in the shell. The other two are shared across OxyRevo's soft chambers and are worth understanding before you compare brands.

🎚
1.5 ATA, Steppable To 1.2
Working pressure tops out at 1.5 ATA, one level above the 1.4 ATA Elite chambers. A pressure adjustment converter sets the chamber to 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 or 1.5 ATA with a single press, so the level you run is a decision you make per session and can raise as your ears adapt. OxyRevo describes the converter as exclusive to its chambers.
1.2 / 1.3 / 1.4 / 1.5 ATA
🪟
Seven Double-Layered Windows
Seven large windows sit on the top, sides and foot of the chamber, each built as a double layer. That is two more than the five fitted to the Elite32 and Elite36. Double glazing on the viewing windows is part of OxyRevo's safety specification for the soft range, alongside emergency valves and internal and external pressure release valves.
7 Windows · Top, Sides, Foot
🧷
Curved Zipper With A Gravity Sink
The zipper line curves, and a gravity sink holds the zipper away from the sealing strips so the two surfaces stop rubbing against each other on entry and exit. The seal strip is customised medical-grade silicone. OxyRevo's stated reason for the geometry is a smoother, easier open and close.
Medical-Grade Silicone Seal
🔥
Heat-Welded Seams, Laser-Marked Valves
Seams on the High Strength TPU shell are joined by high-frequency heat welding, with no glue and no stitching in the joints. Valve labels are applied by UV laser. OxyRevo's stated reason for both choices is longevity: it argues glued paper labels fade and peel with use, and positions welded joints as more durable than sewn ones.

Inside The Apex32

A Closer Look

Where The Seven Windows Sit

Two long windows run down each side of the Apex32, with further panels set into the top and the foot end. Seven in total, every one of them double-layered. From three quarters on, that is most of what you see: transparent panel across the length of the shell, with grey TPU between. Window count is the clearest physical difference between the Apex line and the Elite line, and OxyRevo's stated reason for adding them is light and a wide view out.

  • 7 large double-layered windows
  • Positioned on the top, the sides and the foot
  • Two more than the Elite32 and Elite36 carry
  • Double glazing forms part of the soft range safety spec

The View You Actually Spend The Hour With

What you look at for the hour is the shell from the inside: 90 inches of length, 32 inches of diameter and seven double-layered windows breaking up the grey. Entry and exit run through the curved zipper, where a gravity sink holds the zipper clear of the customised medical-grade silicone seal strip. A second aviation-grade pressure gauge is fitted inside the cabin, so the reading you act on is the one in front of your face.

Standard Or Pro

Two Ways To Feed The Same Chamber

The chamber is identical in both versions. What changes is the machinery beside it. The Pro consolidates everything into one all-in-one unit measuring 27.56" L × 13.78" W × 29.53" H at 80 kg, with one-press activation for every function. The Standard splits the same work across three machines, each with its own setup and its own controls, and costs less to buy and less to ship. Both versions produce oxygen continuously, so there is no oxygen tank in the picture either way.

  • Pro: one air compressor, 10L oxygen concentrator, 2 cooling machines, anion generator, timing alarm, oxygen meter, water container and air filters
  • Pro: double activated carbon filters plus Nano Water Ion technology with an anti-virus system, which OxyRevo rates at a 99% virus sterilization rate
  • Standard: air compressor AE01, air cooler ZLA01 and oxygen concentrator HG10, with double filters on input and output
  • Both ship with an oxygen mask, spare filters, fuses, air and oxygen tubing and a power cable

Valves & Exit

Reading The Pressure, And Getting Out

The end of the chamber carries the port and the valve work. Two aviation-grade pressure gauges are fitted, one inside and one outside, and OxyRevo's stated reason for doubling them up is keeping both readings in agreement so nobody operates on a number they cannot see. The automatic pressure relief valves spread the airflow to bring valve noise down; OxyRevo developed them because those valves are what you hear when you try to sleep through a dive. Emergency valves release pressure for an exit in 30 seconds.

  • Emergency valves for a 30-second exit
  • Internal and external pressure release valves
  • Two high-accuracy aviation-grade gauges, inside and out
  • Pressure-deflating valves, each one labelled by UV laser
  • Rated sound level of 50 dB or less

The OxyRevo Soft Lying Lineup

Four Chambers, Two Pressures, Two Diameters

All four soft lying chambers share the 90-inch length, the High Strength TPU shell, the curved zipper and the 50 dB sound rating. Pressure and diameter are the two variables. The Apex32 is the 1.5 ATA chamber in the narrower body.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Working pressure is 1.5 ATA. A pressure adjustment converter sets the chamber to 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 or 1.5 ATA with one press, so you can run a lower level early on and raise it later. OxyRevo's stated reason for the converter is easing the ear pressure discomfort some people feel in their first sessions, and it describes the design as exclusive to its chambers.
Pressure and glazing, in the same body. Both chambers measure 90 inches long by 32 inches in diameter. The Apex32 holds 1.5 ATA where the Elite32 holds 1.4 ATA, and it carries 7 double-layered windows where the Elite32 carries 5. The Apex32 weighs 33 lbs against the Elite32's 28.6 lbs, a difference of 4.4 lbs. The Apex32 is also sold in four cover colours; the Elite32 comes in grey.
Diameter and weight. The Apex36 keeps the 90-inch length and opens the diameter to 36 inches, and it weighs 37 lbs against 33 lbs. Working pressure (1.5 ATA) and window count (7) are the same on both. Choose the Apex36 if you want more room across the shoulders, and the Apex32 if the room you are putting it in is tight.
The chamber is the same. The machinery beside it is what you are choosing. The Pro is one all-in-one machine unit, 27.56" L × 13.78" W × 29.53" H and 80 kg, holding an air compressor, a 10L oxygen concentrator, two cooling machines, an anion generator, a timing alarm, an oxygen meter, a water container and air filters, with one-press activation for all functions and double activated carbon filters. The Standard is three separate machines: air compressor AE01, air cooler ZLA01 and oxygen concentrator HG10. Each needs its own setup and its own operation, and it has double filters on input and output. The Standard costs less and is easier to transport.
Four: black, blue, grey and white, selected at checkout. Grey is the standard cover colour across OxyRevo's soft range, and OEM colours are available on request. Colour is the first of the three option lists on this page, alongside the version and the delivery choice.
Inflated, the chamber is 90 inches long and 32 inches in diameter (230 × 80 cm). Allow working room at the valve end for the operating unit and the air and oxygen tubing, plus space along one side for entry and exit. The Pro unit takes a footprint of 27.56" × 13.78" and stands 29.53" tall; on the Standard version the three machines each need their own spot. The chamber deflates when you are done and the body is 33 lbs, so the floor space is only committed while a session is running.
No. OxyRevo builds these chambers for owner installation, and the Apex32 can be operated from inside or outside the unit, with an aviation-grade pressure gauge and pressure release valves on both sides of the shell. Before you start using it, talk to your physician, particularly if you have any ear, sinus or lung condition.
A typical mild hyperbaric session runs 60 to 90 minutes, 4 to 5 times a week. The common pattern is a block of 40 sessions, then a week off before the next block.
That varies by individual and is a question for your physician. As a general starting point for wellness use, plan an initial block of 20 sessions and reassess after it. Recovery For Athletes does not make claims about outcomes.
A pressure change in the ears as the chamber pressurizes and depressurizes, similar to a plane taking off or descending. Swallowing or yawning clears it, and ears commonly adjust after the first few sessions. On the Apex32, running the converter at 1.2 or 1.3 ATA for the first block is one way to take that gradually. The chamber is rated at 50 dB or less, so reading, listening to something or resting are all reasonable uses of the hour.
Any loose-fitting, comfortable clothing.
Talk to your physician before starting, particularly with any ear, sinus or lung condition. On the equipment side: the chamber is pressurized with filtered air, internal pressure is regulated by the pressure valve and the relief valves, and the chamber can be depressurized and opened from inside and outside. Emergency valves release pressure for an exit in 30 seconds. Recovery For Athletes makes no claims about the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
That is a medical question for your physician. Recovery For Athletes does not make claims about hyperbaric oxygen therapy for any age group or condition. On the equipment side, the Apex32 takes one person lying down in a 32-inch diameter cabin, the pressure level is fixed by the converter before the session starts, and the chamber can be depressurized and opened from outside as well as inside.
Yes. The curved zipper opens from either side, and the chamber can be depressurized from inside as well as outside. Emergency valves release pressure for an exit in 30 seconds. Internal and external pressure release valves and pressure gauges are both fitted as standard.
Cooling and dehumidification come from the machine side. The Pro unit holds two cooling machines plus a water container; the Standard version includes the ZLA01 air cooler. OxyRevo describes that system as removing humidity and cooling the air going into the chamber. It is electrically driven, with no ice water and no Freon involved. Set your expectation this way: in a room with working air conditioning, the interior stays comfortable across a 60 to 90 minute session.
The chamber is rated at 50 dB or less. OxyRevo developed quiet automatic pressure relief valves for its soft chambers, spreading the airflow to bring the valve noise down, because those valves are the sound you notice if you are trying to sleep through a dive. The compressor and the oxygen concentrator sit outside the chamber, so where you place them in the room is your call.
The glazing is the reason to look at the Apex line. Seven large double-layered windows sit on the top, the sides and the foot of the chamber, including two long windows running down each side, and OxyRevo's stated reason for that many is more light and a wider view out. The Apex32 carries two more windows than the Elite32 in the same 90" × 32" body. If lying down is the part that bothers you, OxyRevo's sitting chambers are a different format worth comparing.
The oxygen concentrator produces oxygen continuously, so there are no oxygen tanks to buy or refill. Compressor filters are the only components needing routine replacement, every 6 to 12 months depending on use. Spare filters and fuses ship with the chamber. Valve labels are UV laser marked, so there is nothing to re-label as paper stickers peel.
About 3 weeks: roughly one week for production and 7 to 10 days for shipping via FedEx Air. Tracking is provided when the order ships.
A 1-year commercial and 2-year home use warranty, plus lifetime technical support at no cost. If a quality issue arises in the warranty period and can be repaired, OxyRevo supplies replacement parts free and provides step-by-step repair guidance by photo and video. If it cannot be repaired, they send a new machine at no cost.
Standard Delivery brings the crated chamber to your location, and unloading, uncrating and moving it are yours to handle. White Glove Delivery & Chamber Education is full service: unloading, setup and cleanup are done for you, and the team walks you through operating the chamber. The chamber itself is only 33 lbs; the weight to plan around is the operating unit, which is 80 kg in the Pro version.
