Wheelchair Access Soft Hyperbaric Chamber

OxyRevo Heal40 1.4 ATA Wheelchair Hyperbaric Chamber

The Heal40 is the one chamber in the OxyRevo range that a wheelchair rolls into. Every other soft model asks the user to lie down flat or transfer onto a folding chair. This one is a tall upright cabin, 67 inches long by 62 inches wide by 70 inches high when inflated, sitting on a sturdy aluminum base with a slope at the entrance. OxyRevo built it, in their own words, for people with wheelchairs to use HBOT in an easier way.

Working pressure is 1.4 ATA, with a converter that steps the chamber to 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4 ATA on one press. Four large double-layered windows open the cabin up to daylight. At 95 lbs it is the heaviest soft chamber OxyRevo makes, roughly three times the weight of the lying models, which is what the base and the upright structure cost. A regular chair also fits inside for anyone who wants to sit down without a wheelchair. Covers come in Black, Blue, Grey or White, with OEM colours available, and both the Pro all-in-one operating unit and the three-machine Standard set are offered at checkout.

The Build

What Makes An Upright Chamber Different

A soft chamber that has to stand up on its own and take a wheeled chair over its threshold is built differently from one you lie down in. Four parts of the Heal40 carry that difference: the base it sits on, the zipper you open, the pressure converter, and the gauges.

Aluminum Base And Entry Slope
The cabin is mounted on a sturdy aluminum base, and a slope runs up to the entrance so a chair can be pushed in and out. OxyRevo's stated reason for the base is exactly this: making entry and exit workable for wheelchair users. The slope is visible in the product photographs on this page.

Curved Zipper With A Gravity Sink
The zipper follows a curve, and a gravity sink holds the zipper track away from the sealing strip so the two are not dragging against each other as it closes. The seal itself is a medical-grade silicone strip. On a chamber that gets opened and closed by a caregiver several times a day, the effort that takes is not a small detail.
Silicone Seal Strip
🎛
1.2 To 1.4 ATA On One Press
A pressure adjustment converter sets the chamber to 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4 ATA. OxyRevo's stated reason for building it is ear comfort during the first sessions, letting a user start at the lowest step and move up as their ears settle. It is a feature OxyRevo says is exclusive to their chambers.
Three Pressure Steps
📊
Gauges Inside And Outside
Two aviation-grade pressure gauges read the chamber, one inside and one outside, so the person in the cabin and the person attending it are looking at the same number. Automatic pressure relief valves are built for quiet operation, and OxyRevo's stated reason is even airflow distribution to keep noise down during a session.

Inside The Heal40

A Closer Look

Open OxyRevo Heal40 chamber with a wheelchair positioned inside on the entry ramp
Wheelchair Entry

The Chair Goes In. Nobody Has To Lift Anyone.

This is the part of the Heal40 that no other OxyRevo soft chamber does. The photograph shows the cabin open with a wheelchair standing inside on the entry slope. For a user with limited mobility, and for whoever is helping them, that removes the transfer step at both ends of every session. We do not publish a ramp weight rating, a threshold clearance figure or a maximum chair size, because OxyRevo does not publish them either. Send us your chair's dimensions and weight before ordering and we will get those numbers from the factory in writing.

  • Cabin measures 67" long × 62" wide × 70" high (170 × 160 × 190 cm)
  • Sturdy aluminum base with a slope at the entrance
  • A regular chair also fits inside for a seated session without a wheelchair
  • Emergency valves allow exit from the chamber in 30 seconds

Four Windows, And Everything You Need Within Reach Of The Seat

Four large double-layered windows are set into the cabin, and OxyRevo's stated reason for glazing this much of it is a wide, transparent view with more light entering the chamber. Inside, a second aviation-grade pressure gauge sits with the occupant, and the pressure-deflating valves, pressure relief valves and emergency valves are duplicated on both sides of the shell, so a session can be read and ended from the seat.

  • 4 large double-layered windows
  • Pressure-deflating valves inside and outside the cabin
  • Emergency valves rated for exit in 30 seconds
  • Internal and external pressure gauges and relief valves
  • Valve labels applied by UV laser, no glued paper stickers to peel

A Format That Works In A Corridor

OxyRevo's own facility photography shows two Heal40 cabins standing side by side in a corridor with staff and residents around them. The format suits that kind of room for practical reasons: it is upright, so it takes 67 by 62 inches of floor while the lying chambers need a 90-inch run; a resident stays in their own chair through the session; and the sound level is rated at 50 dB or under, which matters when the chamber lives where people walk past. Air purification sits on the Pro side of the range: the anion generator, the double activated carbon filters and the Nano Water Ion anti-virus system are all part of the all-in-one unit.

  • Upright footprint of 67" × 62" per chamber
  • Sound level rated ≤50 dB
  • Anion generator in the Pro all-in-one unit; the Standard set is three machines, AE01, ZLA01 and HG10
  • Cover colours Black, Blue, Grey or White, with OEM colours available

Pro Or Standard

One Cabinet, Or Three Machines On The Floor

The chamber is the same either way. What changes is the equipment that runs it. The Pro version is a single all-in-one unit, 27.56" long by 13.78" wide by 29.53" high at 80 kg, holding one air compressor, a 10L oxygen concentrator, two cooling machines, an anion generator, a timing alarm, an oxygen meter, a water container and the air filters, with one-press activation for every function. The Standard version splits the same job across three machines: air compressor AE01, air cooler ZLA01 and oxygen concentrator HG10, each set up and started on its own. OxyRevo describes the Pro cooling and dehumidifying system as the stronger of the two. Both are electrically driven with no ice water and no Freon to handle, and in a room with working air conditioning the interior stays comfortable.

  • Pro: one unit, one press, double activated carbon filters
  • Pro: Nano Water Ion technology with an anti-virus system, which OxyRevo rates at a 99% virus sterilization rate
  • Standard: three separate machines, double filters on input and output
  • Standard: lower cost and lighter to ship
  • Both: continuous oxygen production, so there are no oxygen tanks to buy or refill

The OxyRevo Soft Chamber Range

Lying, Wheelchair, Or Sitting

Every OxyRevo soft chamber is High Strength TPU, runs on filtered air, and comes with the same warranty and the same Pro or Standard operating unit choice. The question that separates them is the position your body is in for 60 to 90 minutes, and how you get into it. The Heal40 is the middle answer: you arrive in a wheelchair and stay in it.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

OxyRevo's own description is direct: it is designed for people with wheelchairs to use HBOT in an easier way. The cabin stands upright with an aluminum base and a slope at the entrance, so a chair can be pushed in. That makes it the model people look at when the user has limited mobility, when a caregiver is running the sessions, or when a clinic needs one chamber that works for both seated and wheelchair users. Anyone who can sit in a normal chair can use it too.
The chamber sits on a sturdy aluminum base with a slope running up to the entrance, and the curved zipper opens the front of the cabin. You can see both in the product photographs on this page, one of which shows a wheelchair standing inside on the slope. What we will not do is invent numbers: we do not publish a ramp weight capacity, an entry clearance width or a maximum wheelchair size, because OxyRevo does not publish them. Message us with the make, dimensions and loaded weight of the chair before you order and we will get confirmation from the factory.
Yes. OxyRevo states that a regular chair can be placed inside to sit down comfortably. The published figures are an inflated overall height of 70 inches over a 67 by 62 inch floor; OxyRevo does not publish an interior height, so we do not quote one.
No, and we want to be clear about it. Recovery For Athletes makes no ADA compliance claim for the Heal40, and neither we nor OxyRevo claim it is medically indicated for any condition. It is sold as wellness equipment with a wheelchair-accessible design. Talk to your physician before starting hyperbaric sessions, particularly with any ear, sinus or lung condition.
Inflated, the chamber is 67 inches long, 62 inches wide and 70 inches high (170 × 160 × 190 cm). Add clear floor in front of the entrance for the slope and the approach, and room beside the chamber for the operating unit. The Pro all-in-one unit is 27.56" long by 13.78" wide by 29.53" high; the Standard version needs floor space for three separate machines.
The chamber weighs 95 lbs (43 kg), which makes it the heaviest soft chamber OxyRevo builds. For comparison, the Elite32 is 28.6 lbs and the Forward90 is 30 lbs. The aluminum base and upright structure account for the difference. It packs down and can be relocated, but treat it as a two-person job and plan on setting it up in one place.
Working pressure is 1.4 ATA. A pressure adjustment converter sets the chamber to 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4 ATA with one press, and OxyRevo's stated reason for including it is ear comfort in the first sessions, so a new user can start at 1.2 and work up. The chamber is pressurized with filtered air.
The chamber is identical. The equipment that runs it is not. The Pro version is one All-in-One Machine Unit, 27.56"L × 13.78"W × 29.53"H at 80 kg, containing an air compressor, a 10L oxygen concentrator, two cooling machines, an anion generator, a timing alarm, an oxygen meter, a water container and air filters, with one-press activation for all functions and double activated carbon filters. The Standard version is three separate machines: air compressor AE01, air cooler ZLA01 and oxygen concentrator HG10, each needing its own setup and operation, with double filters on input and output. Standard costs less and ships lighter.
Cooling ships with the chamber either way. The Pro all-in-one unit holds two cooling machines plus a water container; the Standard set includes the ZLA01 air cooler and a humidity water container. OxyRevo describes both as dehumidifying and cooling systems, and the Pro unit as the stronger of the two. It is electrically driven, with no ice water and no Freon to deal with. Practically: in a room with working air conditioning the interior stays comfortable, and we would not plan on running long sessions in an unconditioned room in summer.
The chamber is rated at 50 dB or under. OxyRevo also builds the automatic pressure relief valves for quiet operation, and their stated reason is even airflow distribution to cut valve noise, which they point at people who want to rest or sleep through a session.
No. OxyRevo builds these chambers for owner installation, and the Heal40 can be operated from inside or outside the cabin, with an aviation-grade pressure gauge and pressure relief valves on both sides of the shell. That matters here specifically: a caregiver can run the session from outside while the user stays seated, or a user can run it themselves. Whether hyperbaric sessions are appropriate for you is a separate question, and one for your physician.
A typical mild hyperbaric session runs 60 to 90 minutes, 4 to 5 times a week. The common pattern is a block of 40 sessions, then a week off before the next block. Inside, people read, listen to music, watch something or rest.
That varies by individual and is a question for your physician. As a general starting point for wellness use, plan an initial block of 20 sessions and reassess. Recovery For Athletes makes no claims about outcomes from hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
A pressure change in the ears as the chamber pressurizes and depressurizes, similar to a plane taking off or descending. Swallowing or yawning clears it, and ears commonly adjust after the first few sessions. Starting at 1.2 ATA on the pressure converter is there for the same reason.
Any loose-fitting, comfortable clothing.
Talk to your physician before starting, particularly with any ear, sinus or lung condition. On the equipment side: the chamber is pressurized with filtered air, internal pressure is regulated by the pressure valve and the relief valves, and the chamber can be depressurized and opened from inside and outside. Emergency valves allow exit in 30 seconds. Pressure is displayed on high-precision gauges on both sides of the shell, and the windows are double-layered.
Whether a child should use a hyperbaric chamber is a decision for their physician, and an adult should be operating and supervising the session in every case. We make no claims about hyperbaric oxygen therapy for children or for any condition, and we will not repeat any that we cannot stand behind. What we can tell you is the equipment side: the cabin is 70 inches high with four large double-layered windows, it can be opened from outside as well as inside, and the windows give a caregiver a clear line of sight to the seat for the whole session.
The oxygen concentrator produces oxygen continuously, so there are no oxygen tanks to buy or refill. Compressor filters are the only components needing routine replacement, every 6 to 12 months depending on use. Spare filters and fuses ship with the chamber.
About 3 weeks. Roughly one week for production and 7 to 10 days for shipping via FedEx Air, with tracking provided when the order ships.
A 1-year commercial and 2-year home use warranty, plus lifetime technical support at no cost. If a quality issue arises in the warranty period and can be repaired, OxyRevo supplies replacement parts free and provides step-by-step repair guidance by photo and video. If it cannot be repaired, they send a new machine at no cost.
Standard Delivery brings the crated chamber to your location and you handle unloading, uncrating and moving. White Glove Delivery & Chamber Education is full service: unloading, setup and cleanup are done for you, and the team walks you through operating the chamber. On a 95 lb chamber going into a household where mobility is the reason you are buying it, White Glove is worth the line item.
Four covers at checkout: Black, Blue, Grey and White. Grey is the standard cover, and OEM colours are available if a facility needs the chamber to match its own scheme.

  • Extra Quiet Pressure Relief Valves - It can be quite bothersome when you are trying to sleep inside the hyperbaric chamber and the air relief valves outside are too loud. Oxyrevo has developed quiet automatic pressure relief valves, helps to evenly distribute the airflow, resulting in a significant reduction in noise levels, gives you a peaceful and quiet HBOT benefits environment.
  • Heat Welded: NO Toxic Glues or Sewing - Other manufacturers either use glue to seal chamber joints, which can emit a pungent smell and be harmful to the body, or sew the material seams, which poses a significant risk of damage over time. In contrast, Oxyrevo's portable hyperbaric oxygen chambers have seams that are welded using high-frequency heat welding technology, which is both environmentally friendly and non-toxic, also highly durable.
  • 1.2-1.4ATA Pressure Adjustable - In order to help customers ease the discomfort of ear pressure during initial use of your hyperbaric oxygen chambers, we have created a pressure adjustment converter that allows you to easily set your chamber pressure to 1.2, 1.3, or 1.4 ATA with just one press. This exclusive design is only available in Oxyrevo Hyperbaric Chambers and enables you to gradually adjust to the increasing pressure levels of your HBOT session.
  • Dual Pressure Data Display In and Out - It can be bothersome when pressure readings only can be seen outside the chamber, which may result in incorrect operational instructions and potential harm to your body. At Oxyrevo, we use two aviation-grade pressure gauges with high accuracy to ensure that the pressure readings remain consistent and without errors inside and outside the chamber, making the use of HBOT safer for you.

Safety Features

Life changing

"Most chambers don’t consider accessibility, but the Heal40 was clearly designed with mobility in mind. I use a compact power wheelchair and can comfortably roll in, close the chamber, and run my own sessions. It’s super quiet and well-built. I use it for MS-related fatigue and the benefits have been noticeable. Big thanks to Recovery for Athletes—they answered every question and got it to me fast."

Helps Me

"As a wheelchair user, it’s hard to find recovery equipment that’s truly accessible—but the Heal40 is a total win. I roll in easily, and the extra space means I don’t have to shift or feel cramped. I bought it through Recovery for Athletes and they were incredibly helpful and understanding of my mobility needs. I’ve been doing 4 sessions a week and feel sharper, sleep better, and have noticed reduced muscle tension."
