SaunaLife SaunaTrekker Portable Sauna Tent

The SaunaTrekker is a cube-shaped sauna tent for up to four people, with an interior 70 inches square and 78 inches from floor to ceiling. Its wall is built in three layers: a 420 denier oxford polyester outer shell carrying a waterproof coating, a 150 g/m2 core of 100 percent polyester fiber fill, and a 210 denier oxford polyester inner surface that reflects heat back into the cabin. Outside, the tent measures 70.9 by 70.9 inches and stands 86.6 inches tall.

The frame arrives pre-assembled and integrated into the tent, so there are no loose poles to thread and no tools to find; SaunaLife says it pops up in minutes. Storm lines, a bag and the installation manual are in the box, and the packed tent ships in a 55 by 20 by 20 inch carton at a shipping weight of 50 pounds. Three Fabrics Quilted Into One Panel

The wall of this tent is three fabrics quilted into a single panel. On the outside, 420 denier oxford polyester carries a waterproof coating over the weave. Behind it sits the 150 g/m2 polyester fiber fill, the layer doing the insulating work. The surface you touch on the inside is a smoother 210 denier oxford polyester, chosen to reflect heat back into the cabin. Stitching runs through all three at once, and the padded look in the fabric close-up comes from that quilting.

Setup

Putting It Up Without Tools

The frame mechanism is pre-assembled and integrated into the tent, so setting up is a matter of pulling the structure open and then securing it, the stage the two people in the photograph have reached. There are no separate poles to thread and nothing to bolt together, and no tool is needed at any stage of it. Storm lines ship in the box for anchoring, and the detail shots show a guy line and stake holding a corner of the quilted skirt down. Packing away runs the same way in reverse, into the bag that comes with the tent.

Room for Four and a Heater

Inside, the tent gives you 70 inches in each direction and 78 inches of headroom, and it holds up to four people. The interior frames show a bench and backrest running along one wall with the heater's stone column at the far end; that bench is the cedar SaunaTrekker Bench, a separate accessory, because the tent ships with its storm lines, a bag and the manual and nothing else. A panoramic window panel rolls up and straps back, so one wall can be opened to the view or closed against the weather.
