Snap, Pass and Kick Machine

Sports Attack Snap Attack Football Machine

Designed by football coaches, the Snap Attack is a snap, pass and kick machine. Sports Attack positions it for the phases of the game that are hardest to practice: the snap, the deep ball and the kicking game. Two solid polyurethane throwing wheels grip the football for spin, and one universal cradle sets the ball for a right-handed spiral, a left-handed spiral or end-over-end delivery.

The throwing head sits on a passing stand that pivots instantly in any direction, so an operator can lead a receiver or spot a punt at any location on the field, then lock the head in for repeated reps. In the lowered position the release point sits at ground level at realistic angles, and the machine snaps to any depth in shotgun and pistol formations, extra points and punts. Sports Attack publishes a throwing distance of 5 to 100 yards and a speed of 70+ MPH.

Inside the Machine

Two Motors, Two Solid Wheels, One Cradle

The Snap Attack Football Machine puts every delivery option on one head. What changes between a shotgun snap and a kickoff is the tilt of the wheels and the height of the stand.

🔄
Two Independently Running Motors
Two variable speed motors drive the two throwing wheels directly, with no flexible shaft in the path to lose power. Sports Attack rates recovery at 5 seconds and describes it as almost instant with two motors, which is what makes rapid fire and multiple ball drills workable.
5-second recovery
⚙️
Solid Polyurethane Throwing Wheels
Broad-surface solid wheels grip the ball for an accurate spin. There is no air pressure to set and none to check before practice, and the wheels are specially designed for minimal wear. Guards cover both wheels and help keep them dry in inclement weather.
No air pressure required
🏈
Universal Ball Cradle
One cradle positions the ball for passing, punting, snapping or kickoffs. It holds the ball for right- and left-handed spirals and for end-over-end, and it takes no tools to change. Kickoff needs no second cradle.
No second cradle for kickoff
🎯
Passing Stand That Pivots and Locks
On the passing stand the throwing head pivots instantly in any direction, throwing passes, punts and kickoffs to any location on the field. Height changes at the stand are quick, and the head locks in when a drill calls for precise repetition. The controller stays visible and safely away from the throwing wheels.

Countless Reps Without the Quarterback!

Snapping Position

Quality Realistic Reps Without the Center!

Dropping the head to the lowered position puts the release point at ground level at realistic angles. From there the machine snaps to any depth in shotgun and pistol formations, plus extra points and punts. The height change takes seconds and needs no tools and no legs. Quarterbacks take the ball in the snapping position for shotgun and pistol signal drills, holders catch the snap before placing for the kick, and the operator can call for a bad snap on purpose.

  • Shotgun (5 yards) – 7 on 7 drills
  • No-back offense (5 yards)
  • Snaps to halfbacks (5-6 yards)
  • Quick kick (7 yards)
  • Short punt (7 yards)
  • Extra point (7-8 yards)
  • Long snap (14-15 yards)
  • Bad snaps ("Fire calls")

Throwing Head

Precise Reps Without the Quarterback!

The ball sits in one universal cradle. Loosen the wheel tilt handles, rotate the throwing head, and the same head delivers a right-handed spiral, a left-handed spiral or an end-over-end ball. The handles tilt the wheels to the position you want and lock the head there, so the route runs the same way on every rep. Sports Attack lists wide, solid football throwing wheels as the source of the machine's repeatability.

Kicking Game

Emphasize the Kicking Game in a Fraction of the Time!

On the passing stand the head pivots instantly in any direction, and the operator spots punts and kickoffs precisely for both return and coverage work. Because one cradle covers kickoffs as well as passes, there is no second cradle to swap in when the drill moves from the passing game to the kicking game. Two motors bring the wheels back to speed in about 5 seconds, so a coverage unit can work through a block of kicks in one sitting.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Sports Attack publishes a speed of 70+ MPH and a throwing distance of 5 to 100 yards. Two variable speed motors set the speed, and the same range covers a 5-yard shotgun snap and a deep ball.
Recovery time is listed at 5 seconds, and Sports Attack notes that with two motors it is almost instant. Both motors run independently, so the wheels return to full speed together for rapid fire and multiple ball drills.
The height position change from passing to snapping takes seconds, with no tools and no legs needed. In the lowered position the release point sits low to the ground at realistic angles.
Loosen the wheel tilt handles and rotate the throwing head to set right- or left-handed pass and punt direction, or end-over-end. The handles tilt the wheels to locate the head and lock it into the position you want. No tools are involved.
Sports Attack lists shotgun at 5 yards for 7 on 7 drills, no-back offense at 5 yards, snaps to halfbacks at 5-6 yards, quick kick and short punt at 7 yards, extra point at 7-8 yards and long snap at 14-15 yards. Bad snaps, or fire calls, can be thrown on purpose so holders and punters get reps against them.
Sports Attack lists interception drills, tip drills, harassment drills for avoiding completions, general defensive drills, work versus zone defenses, prevent, and the last two plays of the game against a "Hail Mary". The passing stand pivots to place the ball where the drill needs it.
No. The universal cradle positions the ball for passing, punting, snapping or kickoffs, and Sports Attack states that no second ball cradle is required for kickoff.
Sports Attack states: do not use synthetic leather balls, and recommends full grain leather. Keep ball air pressure between 10-13 lbs. The throwing wheels themselves are solid and take no air pressure at all.
Tilt the unit, unsocket the legs and roll it on two extra-wide solid transporting wheels. The wheels stay in place on the machine, so nothing has to be fitted before a move.
Electrical requirements are 110V standard, with 220/240V also available. Sports Attack lists generator use as supported.
Yes. Sports Attack lists a universal cart post clamp for use on carts. That configuration is sold as its own listing, the Snap Attack Football Machine w/ Cart Clamp.
Sports Attack lists the level of play as high school, college and professional, and attributes that to ball size.
No assembly is required; Sports Attack ships the unit fully assembled. For upkeep, the solid football wheels require no air pressure adjustment, and all bearings are sealed and rated by Sports Attack for the life of the motor.
Sports Attack covers material, workmanship and wear components including throwing wheels, controllers and motors for two years for residential and institutional buyers, and one year for commercial buyers, from the date of original purchase based on the serial number and date codes on the unit.
