Heat & Cold Facial Therapy
The Depuffing Wand does one thing: it changes the temperature of a metal tip against your skin, in either direction, at a level you pick. Cold runs at 14 °C (57 °F), 12 °C (54 °F) or 10 °C (50 °F). Heat runs at 35 °C (95 °F), 38 °C (100 °F) or 42 °C (108 °F). Every one of those six settings is published in both units, which is more temperature data than most facial devices give you.
A total treatment runs 8 to 10 minutes. The applicator tip is contoured to sit under the eye and along the nasal folds, and the whole thing works from two buttons. It charges over USB-C, ships with a travel cap, and Therabody lists it as TSA Approved and FDA Registered, with a 1-year limited warranty. White and Indigo are the two colourways.
Features
Most facial temperature tools tell you “hot” and “cold” and stop there. Therabody publishes a figure for every level on this wand, in Celsius and Fahrenheit both.
Day to day
Two buttons, a travel cap and a USB-C port. The wand is built for a bathroom shelf and an aeroplane seat pocket.
A closer look
The numbers below are the whole specification of what this device does to your skin. Both defaults sit at the gentle end, so the wand starts mild and you step it up only if you want to. The 32 °C spread between the coldest and hottest settings is what makes contrast work on a face this size.
Contrast means running warm and then cold over the same area inside one session. On this wand that is a button press, because a single tip handles both. Therabody’s stated order is heat first and cold second. There is nothing to freeze beforehand and nothing to plug in mid-session: the tip reaches temperature from the internal battery.
The box is short and so is the parts list. The applicator alloy matters more than the housing does, since it is the part that carries the temperature. One practical note before you buy: the wand is not waterproof, so it gets wiped clean with a cloth.
Compare
Three of these four are light-and-massage devices. This one is the temperature device, and it is the only TheraFace product that publishes a number in degrees.
