The Beam is a bar: 36 in. long, 9 in. wide, 3 in. deep, roughly 20 lbs, with about 200 diodes across the face at 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared. Two quiet fans sit behind the array. BioLight's own session protocol for it reads 10 to 20 minutes per zone at a working distance of 6 to 12 in., which is the clearest description of the device they publish. It comes in Black or White at the same price.

Two things on BioLight's Beam page need saying before the rest. Their specification table lists Coverage Area as full body, while their product title, their summary line and their protocol all describe a targeted field aimed at one zone at a time. Those are two different devices and BioLight does not reconcile them. Their irradiance line reads, in their words, greater than 100 mW/cm2 at 6 in. That is a floor with a greater-than sign in front of it, and BioLight publishes no absolute measured value under it, no measurement method, no meter and no laboratory or report date. It is also the highest irradiance figure BioLight quotes on any of their ten devices, above the 80 mW/cm2 at 6 in. they publish for their own professional Adapt Panel at sixteen times the price. We print it here as BioLight words it, attributed to BioLight, with the distance attached, and we have asked them to substantiate it.

The Beam's specification sheet answers the coverage question two ways. BioLight's own protocol answers it a third way, and that third answer is the one the hardware supports.

Thirty-Six Inches by Nine Inches, and What That Covers
A bar this shape puts a strip of light in front of you, and the strip is as long as the bar. At 36 in. by 9 in. that is a back, a hamstring, a shoulder and upper arm, a calf, a quad: one region held still under the array while the clock runs. It is not a standing enclosure and it is not a panel you step in front of and light head to foot at once. BioLight's specification table nonetheless prints Coverage Area as full body. Their title, their summary line and their session protocol all say the opposite, and their protocol is written per zone with a time attached: 10 to 20 minutes on each area you point it at. Read the protocol. A 36 in. bar covers what a 36 in. bar covers, and full body on that footprint means moving it, or moving yourself, several times.

The face runs 36 in. by 9 in. on a body 3 in. deep, with about 200 diodes across it at 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared. Weight is published as approximately 20 lbs, which is heavier than BioLight's 300-LED ReStore panel and light enough to reposition between zones. There is no mode selector, no brightness control and no pulse rate on this model, so the array runs at one output whenever it is on. Full Body in the Table, One Zone in the Protocol

BioLight's specification table for the Beam gives Coverage Area as full body. On the same page, their product title calls the device targeted, their summary calls the field targeted, and their usage protocol is written per zone: position the bar 6 to 12 in. away, hold one area under it for 10 to 20 minutes, use it daily or several times a week. We are not repeating either label as settled, because BioLight publishes both and reconciles neither. What the hardware supports is the protocol: a 36 in. by 9 in. strip of light on one region at a time, moved when that region is done. Plan sessions that way and the device does what its own instructions describe.

They publish no linking hardware, no maximum number of linked units, no combined power figure and no mounting kit, so the mechanics of that arrangement have to come from them before you plan a room around it. The same applies to the basics.
