Chattanooga Hydrocollator Moist Heat Pack

The Chattanooga Hydrocollator Moist Heat Pack is a reusable moist heat pack, heated in a Hydrocollator water tank and wrapped in a cover, that delivers deep, soothing moist heat to muscles and joints. Each pack is a canvas bag of natural bentonite hydrocolloid with cotton banding, lifted from water at 160 to 165 degrees F. One pack holds up to 30 minutes of consistent heat, which covers a full application, and it is reusable for hundreds of treatments. The HotPac comes in seven shapes, from the Half at 5 x 12 in. to the Oversize at 15 x 24 in., plus a Hand size.

The other sizes suit different body areas: Standard 10 x 12 in., Spinal 10 x 18 in., Spinal large 10 x 24 in., Knee and Shoulder 10 x 20 in., Neck Contour 24 in. and Hand 6.5 x 12.5 in. Packs are heated in the mobile SS-2, M-2 and M-4 units and in the tabletop E-1 and E-2. Only Standard packs ship with a mobile unit, and the E-2 arrives with two Oversize, three Standard and one Neck Contour, so every other size is a separate order. The tabletop E-1 holds 3 gal of water in a 13 x 8 in. cabinet, against the 15 x 24 in. of an Oversize pack. A HotPac is never applied directly to the skin, so each size you keep hot pairs with a cover, one per pack in rotation.
