Free Curbside Delivery

 Curbside Delivery ships via Freight to the 48 contiguous states. The freight carrier will contact you 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery to set a delivery day and time Monday-Friday, with a 4-hour open window.

      They won’t deliver without speaking to you first. **Shipping times are only approximate, and can change depending on environmental conditions, transit issues, and carrier’s availability. Last minute appointments can occur, and it’s out of our hands since the delivery process is managed by the carrier’s. The sauna will be delivered in 1 box or more, depending on the model. All boxes will be strapped to a pallet. All saunas are delivered in a 53-foot semi-truck with a single driver, who will unload the pallet to your curbside or driveway only. Any delivery questions or issues (remote areas, long driveways, large and low hanging trees, apartment complex, stairs, etc.) should be addressed with us prior to shipping your sauna.

        Once the driver has unloaded the sauna, we ask that you immediately inspect the boxes for any damage. Please indicate any minor scratches, indentations, or scuff marks to the outside of the boxes on the delivery receipt. You do not need to open the boxes to inspect the sauna. The freight company will deliver your sauna to a carport or first-floor entryway. Please check the box dimensions and ensure it will fit through your doorway. Assembly on these saunas are surprisingly easy and can take between 30-45 minutes, depending on the sauna. Assembly instructions are included with the saunas.

Iglucraft 4-6 Person Double Room Iglusauna

The Double is two rooms under one shingled roof: the sauna, and a relaxing room alongside it. Between them sits a large fixed glass window, which is the feature that defines this model. The building runs 181 inches long by 92.5 wide and stands 99.6 inches tall, Iglucraft put the usable floor area at 90.4 square feet, and their own product sheet describes it as designed for four to six people. Iglucraft publish 84.25 inches of interior height, which is just over seven feet. It ships at 3,300 lbs.

Nothing about it gets built in your yard. Iglucraft state that each structure is handcrafted shingle by shingle and integrates all fixtures and furniture, and that on arrival there is no need for additional assembly or construction on your part. Recovery For Athletes sells one family of saunas that arrive as finished buildings, and this is one of the four.

Construction is a wooden frame under three layers of spruce shingles, lined inside with two layers of aspen. Aspen benches, backrests and footrests are fitted in both rooms and finished with natural sauna wax, and the relaxing room has clothing hooks.

The Build

Two Rooms, One Piece Of Glass Between Them

The Double is built by the same hand method as every Iglusauna, with one addition that only this layout allows. Four specifications carry the model: the window between the rooms, the outer shell, the interior lining and the seating.

The wall dividing the sauna from the relaxing room carries a large fixed glass window. It is listed in both the included items and the feature set for this model, and it is the specification that most clearly separates the Double from the Single. The sauna door is glass, and Iglucraft fit small sealed windows in the building.

The Sauna Room

Benches Either Side Of The Heater

Inside the sauna room the heater sits centred with a bench running down each side, all in pale aspen finished with natural sauna wax. Iglucraft publish 84.25 inches of interior height, so there is standing room on the floor between the benches. The heat comes from the Stoveman wood-fired stove, included with the Double free of charge, and Iglucraft supply the heater stones. The door into this room is glass, and Iglucraft fit small sealed windows in the building alongside the large fixed pane between the rooms.

Three layers of spruce shingle go over a wooden frame, treated with Teknos Aqua Primer product tinted with a UV-resistant paint pigment, which Iglucraft state requires no additional coating. Their care guide is straightforward about the behaviour of the material: the shingles expand and shrink with the climate, some unpainted surfaces may become visible over time, and Iglucraft describe both as normal and say neither affects lifespan. Every Iglusauna is the same building method at four different lengths: wooden frame, three layers of spruce shingle outside, two layers of aspen inside, aspen benches, and no site construction. The Double is where a second room enters the line — 90.4 square feet across sauna and relaxing room, with a large fixed glass window in the wall between them. It is a bit over twice the usable floor of the Single at 181 inches long.

One caution on the Harvia: it is a three-phase unit listed for commercial use, so it is a different installation from the other two. Confirm the choice with your electrician before you order.

Both rooms come finished — the benches, the hooks, the glass between the rooms, the shingles and the flooring are all in place. That makes these four the only fully assembled saunas we carry.
Iglucraft do not require a concrete slab. What they ask for is a hard, level surface with measures in place to keep moisture away from the structure, supporting the wooden beams under the floor frame at both ends and in the middle. Four foundation types are accepted: brick blocks on a gravel pad, long beams laid perpendicular to the base beams, a pillar foundation, or a full-size level slab in concrete or another hard material. With a 181-inch building the middle support matters — plan it before anything else.
One electrical connection. Iglucraft's transport documentation states that saunas only include the electrical connection, and asks that a certified electrician makes it. Neither Iglucraft nor this page publishes a voltage, phase or amperage figure for the Iglusauna, so have your electrician size the supply against whichever heater package you select.
Outside, Iglucraft ask you to brush leaves and moss off with a soft brush and to avoid pressure washers. Inside, the wood is treated with a water-based sauna wax, and the benches can be cleaned with a pH 6–8 natural cleaner and rinsed with clean water at least once a year.
