Free Curbside Delivery

 Curbside Delivery ships via Freight to the 48 contiguous states. The freight carrier will contact you 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery to set a delivery day and time Monday-Friday, with a 4-hour open window.

      They won’t deliver without speaking to you first. **Shipping times are only approximate, and can change depending on environmental conditions, transit issues, and carrier’s availability. Last minute appointments can occur, and it’s out of our hands since the delivery process is managed by the carrier’s. The sauna will be delivered in 1 box or more, depending on the model. All boxes will be strapped to a pallet. All saunas are delivered in a 53-foot semi-truck with a single driver, who will unload the pallet to your curbside or driveway only. Any delivery questions or issues (remote areas, long driveways, large and low hanging trees, apartment complex, stairs, etc.) should be addressed with us prior to shipping your sauna.

        Once the driver has unloaded the sauna, we ask that you immediately inspect the boxes for any damage. Please indicate any minor scratches, indentations, or scuff marks to the outside of the boxes on the delivery receipt. You do not need to open the boxes to inspect the sauna. The freight company will deliver your sauna to a carport or first-floor entryway. Please check the box dimensions and ensure it will fit through your doorway. Assembly on these saunas are surprisingly easy and can take between 30-45 minutes, depending on the sauna. Assembly instructions are included with the saunas.

Iglucraft 4-Person Single Room Iglusauna

The Single is the one-room Iglusauna. There is no antechamber — the whole building is the sauna. The exterior is square at 94.5 by 94.5 inches and stands 100 inches tall, Iglucraft put the usable floor area at 43.1 square feet, and the sauna is rated for up to four bathers. Iglucraft publish 84.25 inches of interior height, over a square interior floor of 84.25 by 84.25 inches. It ships at 1,980 lbs.

It arrives finished. Iglucraft's wording is that each structure is handcrafted shingle by shingle and integrates all fixtures and furniture, and that on arrival there is no need for additional assembly or construction on your part. Every other sauna Recovery For Athletes sells is a kit somebody has to build. The four Iglusaunas are the exceptions, and the Single is the entry point into the line.

The shell is wooden frame construction under three layers of spruce shingles, with two layers of aspen shingles lining the inside. Benches, backrests and footrests are aspen finished with natural sauna wax, and the flooring is wood in a black finish.

The Build

Shingle By Shingle, By Hand, In Estonia

Iglucraft describe their method as centuries-old shingling technology combined with modern knowledge and craftwork. On the Single that method produces four things worth reading the spec on: the outer shell, the interior lining, the seating and the door.

The exterior carries three layers of spruce shingles over a wooden frame. Iglucraft's care guide states the treatment precisely: exterior shingles are treated with Teknos Aqua Primer product, tinted with a UV-resistant paint pigment, and do not require additional coating.

Spruce Shingles That Need No Coating

The curved shell is three layers of spruce shingle laid over a wooden frame. Iglucraft treat them with Teknos Aqua Primer product tinted with a UV-resistant paint pigment, and state that no additional coating is required. Their care guide is candid about what happens next: the shingles are a living material that expands and shrinks with the climate, some unpainted surfaces may become visible over time, and Iglucraft describe that as normal and say it does not affect lifespan. Where a shingle cracks from drying, their stated reason it will not leak is that the shingles are triple-layered.

The Wood Stove Comes At No Charge

The Stoveman wood-fired stove is included with the Single free of charge, and Iglucraft supply the heater stones. Three electric packages are offered on this page as paid upgrades: the Saunum Air L 13kW with its climate equaliser, digital controller, Wi-Fi and stones; the HUUM HIVE 12kW with the UKU Wi-Fi controller; and the Harvia Club 12.5kW with digital controller and Wi-Fi. Read the Harvia carefully before you pick it — it is a three-phase unit listed for commercial use, so it is not a like-for-like swap for a domestic electric heater.

All four Iglusaunas are built the same way and arrive the same way: wooden frame, three layers of spruce shingle outside, two layers of aspen inside, aspen benches, and no construction work on site. What separates them is how many rooms are under the shingles. The Single is the one-room model and the shortest building in the line at 94.5 inches — the version to buy when the sauna is the only room you want.

Cracking from drying is likewise described as normal, and their stated reason it will not cause leaks is that the shingles are triple-layered. Iglucraft state a minimum 50-year durability for that shingle construction — worth noting that the claim appears in their FAQ in answer to a question about their Igluhut cabin, so read it as a claim about the shingling method and not as a term of sale on this sauna. Spare replacement shingles and touch-up paint are sent with the sauna.
A concrete slab is not required. Iglucraft ask for a hard, level surface with measures in place to stop moisture reaching the structure, and the foundation has to support the wooden beams under the floor frame at both ends and in the middle. They accept four types: brick blocks on a gravel pad, long beams running perpendicular to the base beams, a pillar foundation, or a full-size level slab in concrete or another hard material. Set out that support pattern against the Single's square 94.5-inch footprint.
One, and it is electrical. Iglucraft's transport documentation states that saunas only include the electrical connection, and they ask that a certified electrician makes it. Iglucraft publish no voltage, phase, amperage or breaker figures for the Iglusauna and we do not quote any here, so have your electrician size the supply against the heater package you select.
