InBody | 570 | Refurbished
The InBody 570 Body Composition Analyzer is a full-size analyzer that reads the split between fat, muscle and water in about 50 seconds. A small current runs at 5 kHz, 50 kHz and 500 kHz, read at both arms, both legs and the trunk, for fifteen impedance readings. A 7 in. color touchscreen with voice guidance talks a client through the position on a platform that takes 10 to 270 kg. The units we sell are refurbished by InBody and carry the same manufacturer warranty as a new one, at a price below new.
What you are buying is a full-size clinical platform. The InBody 570 runs on four-pole 8-point touch electrodes with a bar type hand electrode. Four-pole means the electrodes sending the current in are separate from the electrodes reading it back. Eight point means two contacts on each hand and two on each foot. The device covers 10 to 270 kg and 95 to 220 cm, for ages 3 to 99. The InBody 380 and the InBody 580 reach further at both ends of the weight range, from 5 kg up to 300 kg. A 7 in. color TFT LCD touchscreen carries a voice guidance system that talks a client through the position on the platform. InBody's analyzer line-up now runs 270S, 380, 580, 770S, 970S and BWA 2.0S, with no 570 anywhere on it. InBody still stocks 570 result sheets and accessories, so a refurbished unit goes into service supplied.
Reading the result
Every analyzer in this range ends a session with a full page result sheet the client takes home. The InBody 570 prints one, on paper stock that is still sold by the box, and the page carries the values a clinic works from.
The numbers
The InBody 570 stands on a 522 mm base at 24 kg, covers 10 to 270 kg, and arrives refurbished by InBody at a price below new.
Closer look
Refurbishment happens at InBody itself, and no independent workshop touches the unit. The unit arrives on the same manufacturer warranty a new InBody 570 carries, with no reduction in term or in coverage. The measurement side is untouched: three frequencies through five body segments, fifteen impedance measurements, a test of about 50 seconds and the full 10 to 270 kg range. The saving comes from cosmetics, because the housing may carry a blemish or a light scratch from the unit's first working life. Quantities are limited to the units in the warehouse. The blemish is cosmetic and the measurement side is untouched.
The InBody 570 takes 5 kHz, 50 kHz and 500 kHz readings at each of five body segments through four-pole 8-point touch electrodes with a bar type hand electrode. Four-pole means the electrodes injecting the current are separate from the electrodes reading the voltage. Separating them keeps the resistance of the skin at the contact point out of the measured value. Eight point means two contacts on each hand and two on each foot, so a test always starts from the same anatomical landmarks. The sequence takes about 50 seconds, 20 seconds longer than the InBody 380 that now occupies the same rung. The platform carries up to 270 kg, or 595 lb, which covers a facility testing linemen and powerlifters. The InBody 380 and InBody 580 carry more, up to 300 kg.
A test finishes with a printed full page result sheet. The measured values sit on it in blocks, the segmental breakdown across the five body segments among them, on pre-printed stock sold by the box. InBody USA still stocks InBody 570 Result Sheets even though the analyzer itself has left the line-up. Paper supply is one problem a refurbished 570 owner never has to solve. The device prints to laser or inkjet printers at PCL3 or above and to SPL. It carries Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for pushing results into a database as well.
Compare
InBody still sells the InBody 270S, the InBody 380 and the InBody 580 new. The refurbished InBody 570 and the refurbished InBody 270 reach a buyer through refurbishment. On measurement the 570 has the same three current speeds and fifteen readings as the 380 and the 270S. Its test takes about 50 seconds, against 30 on those two and 15 on the refurbished 270. Among the current models the InBody 580 is the closest to it.
