NOHrD TriaTrainer 3 in 1 Exercise Bench

The NOHrD TriaTrainer is a folding wooden exercise bench that holds three shapes: closed as an abdominal trainer, half open as a back trainer, and fully extended as a flat weight bench. Closed it measures 90 x 35 x 55 cm and takes under one square metre of floor; opened flat it is 140 x 35 x 44 cm. The whole bench weighs 15 kg (33 lb) and takes a user up to 120 kg (265 lb), and the padded footrest at the end adjusts through ten positions to suit the leg length and the movement.

Changing position is done by hand on the frame, with no tools and no pins to lose, so one piece of furniture covers abdominal work in the closed shape, back extensions and glute work in the half open shape, and pressing, flyes and dumbbell work flat. A 15 kg bench is light enough that the shape you want is a decision made in the moment instead of a job for the weekend.

The frame is solid wood and the upholstery is artificial or genuine leather, offered across six NOHrD wood finishes whose price order on this bench is not quite the one the rest of the range uses, with Walnut additionally available in real black or real tan leather. Thirteen combinations run in total across the wood and leather axes. The TriaTrainer arrives in one package and needs no assembly. NOHrD backs it for one year from the date of shipment, taken to two years on components and two years on wooden components by registering inside the first year, with ninety days on spare parts.

The bench

Three Shapes From One Folding Frame

Closed, half open and flat are the three states of the same frame, and each one is a different piece of equipment in practice. Nothing is unbolted or swapped to get between them, so a three in one bench does not end up as a bench that only ever sits in one shape.

01

Closed It Is an Abdominal Trainer

In the closed position the TriaTrainer is a compact wedge measuring 90 x 35 x 55 cm, which puts its footprint under one square metre. The shape supports the lower back and hips through abdominal work while the padded footrest anchors the feet at one of ten heights. Closed is also its storage state, so the bench spends the time between sessions in a shape that a room can absorb, standing against a wall at knee height.

Under 1 sqm

02

Half Open for Back and Glute Work

Unfolding one side brings the TriaTrainer to its middle position, a semi-bench angled for back extensions and glute bridges. The angle puts the hips over the pad and leaves the torso free to travel, which is the geometry those two movements want and the reason a flat bench does them badly. Moving from closed to half open is a hand movement on the frame, with no pins and no tools involved.

Semi-bench

03

Flat It Becomes a 140 cm Bench

Fully extended, the TriaTrainer lies flat at 140 x 35 x 44 cm. At 44 cm the pad sits at a standard bench height for a dumbbell press, and the 140 cm length carries a torso and a head with room to spare. The rated user weight of 120 kg covers the person on the bench, so a lifter should add their own bodyweight and the dumbbells together when checking it.

140 x 35 x 44 cm

04

A Footrest With Ten Settings

The padded footrest at the end of the bench adjusts through ten positions, which is a wide range for a component that most benches fix in one place. Ten settings cover different leg lengths across a household and different amounts of hip flexion within one person's session. Padding on the footrest, in place of a bare bar, keeps a long hold under the feet tolerable.

Ownership

Fifteen Kilograms You Can Carry Upstairs

Fifteen kilograms and a single package with no assembly is the whole logistics story for this bench, and it is unusual in a strength group where the next lightest piece is the 20 kg WeightBench and the SquatRack runs to 60 kg. A closed footprint under one square metre, a 120 kg maximum user weight and thirteen wood and leather combinations cover what the TriaTrainer takes, what it holds and how you order it.

01

15 kg, 33 lb

Light enough for one person to move between rooms or lift into a car boot.

02

120 kg maximum user

265 lb rated user weight. Add your bodyweight and the dumbbells together when checking it.

03

Under one square metre

Closed at 90 x 35 x 55 cm, which is the shape it lives in between sessions.

04

140 cm laid flat

Extended to 140 x 35 x 44 cm, with the pad at standard bench height for a dumbbell press.

05

Ten footrest settings

The padded footrest adjusts through ten positions for different leg lengths and angles.

06

No assembly

One package, delivered ready to use. Nothing is bolted and nothing is fixed to a wall.

07

Thirteen order options

Six woods in artificial or genuine leather, with real black and real tan leather on Walnut.

08

One year, two on registration

One year from shipment, taken to two years on components and wooden components by registering inside the first year.

The three positions

One Frame Folded Three Ways

The three positions are the whole proposition and they come from one hinged wooden frame. Closed, the bench is a wedge taking under a square metre of floor, with the feet held at the footrest and the hips carried over the pad. Half open, it becomes an angled semi-bench that puts the hips over the pad for back extensions and glute bridges. Flat, it runs out to a full-length bench for pressing, flyes and dumbbell rows. Each change is made by hand on the frame in a few seconds, and all three shapes end up in regular use.

  • Closed: 90 x 35 x 55 cm, abdominal position
  • Half open: angled semi-bench for back and glute work
  • Flat: 140 x 35 x 44 cm conventional bench
  • Changed by hand, no tools and no pins
  • 120 kg (265 lb) maximum user weight in every position

Weight and footprint

Fifteen Kilograms and No Assembly

At 15 kg (33 lb) the TriaTrainer comes in under the 20 kg WeightBench and at a quarter of the 60 kg SquatRack, and it arrives in a single package with nothing to assemble. One person moves it, one person changes its position, and one person puts it away against a wall at the end. The rated user weight of 120 kg (265 lb) is eight times the weight of the bench itself, which is the ratio that tells you where the solid wood frame is doing its work. Because there is no wall fixing and no floor anchor, the bench can be used in a bedroom this month and a garage the next.

  • 15 kg (33 lb) bench weight
  • 120 kg (265 lb) maximum user weight
  • One package, no assembly required
  • Solid wood frame with padded upholstery
  • Free-standing, with no wall or floor fixing
15 kg No assembly

Leather and wood

Thirteen Combinations on One Bench

Two decisions make up the order: the wood and the leather. Shadow is the black-stained wood-veneered panel that opens the price ladder and Walnut closes it, with four woods between them. Each is offered in artificial leather or genuine leather, and Walnut adds a real black and a real tan option of its own, which is thirteen listed combinations. Artificial leather wipes down and takes shared use without marking, while genuine leather ages and darkens with handling and is the choice where the bench is furniture as much as equipment. The wooden surfaces carry NOHrD's hard wax oil, kept up with the NOHrD Care Set.

  • Six woods, with Club priced below Vintage on this bench
  • Artificial or genuine leather on every wood
  • Walnut with real black or real tan leather
  • Thirteen listed combinations in total
  • Hard wax oil on the wooden surfaces
Six woods Two leathers

The range

The Lightest Bench NOHrD Builds in Wood

The lightest bench in the NOHrD strength group is also the one that works in three separate shapes, at 15 kg against 20 kg for the WeightBench and 60 kg for the SquatRack. The WeightPlate Tower and DumbBell Set store the load you would use with it, and Swing Bells sit at the light end without a bar.

Questions

Which Leather and Which Wood to Order

Closed, half open and flat. Closed, it is a compact wedge for abdominal work at 90 x 35 x 55 cm. Half open, it is an angled semi-bench for back extensions and glute bridges. Flat, it runs out to 140 x 35 x 44 cm as a conventional bench for pressing, flyes and dumbbell rows. Each change is made by hand on the frame without tools.

120 kg, or 265 lb. The figure covers the person on the bench, so if you are pressing dumbbells on it, add your bodyweight and the dumbbells together before checking it against the limit. Heavier lifters working with a loaded barbell should look at the NOHrD WeightBench, which is rated to 400 kg including dumbbells.

Closed, under one square metre at 90 x 35 x 55 cm, which is also how it stores. Flat, it takes 140 x 35 cm plus working room at the sides for dumbbells. Most owners keep it closed against a wall and open it out for the session, which is the shape the design is built around.

The padded footrest moves through ten positions. That covers different leg lengths across a household and different amounts of hip flexion inside one person's session, and it is a wider range than most benches give a component they usually fix in place. The footrest is padded rather than a bare bar, which makes a long hold under the feet workable.

No. It ships in one package and arrives ready to use, with no assembly, no wall fixing and no floor anchor. At 15 kg it is a one-person lift out of the carton and into the room.

Artificial leather wipes down, shrugs off shared use and holds its colour under sweat and cleaning. Genuine leather ages and darkens with handling and is the choice where the bench is going to live in a room people sit in. Walnut is offered with real black or real tan leather as well, which is where the thirteenth combination comes from.

Cheapest first, the order here is Shadow, Oak, Club, Vintage, Cherry, Walnut, which puts Club a rung below Vintage on this bench where the two usually price level. Shadow is a black-stained wood-veneered panel, Oak is real oak, Vintage carries an aged character finish, and Cherry and Walnut are real cherry and real walnut veneer at the top of the ladder. The wooden surfaces carry NOHrD's hard wax oil.

Yes, flat or half open. The pad sits at 44 cm laid flat, a standard height for a dumbbell press, and the 140 cm length carries a torso and a head with room left over. Keep the combined weight of lifter and dumbbells inside the 120 kg rating. The NOHrD DumbBell Set covers 5 to 25 kg across nine pairs if you are buying the weights alongside it.

For bodyweight and dumbbell work, yes. For heavy barbell pressing, the WeightBench is the right piece: it takes 400 kg including dumbbells, adjusts through eight backrest positions and two seat positions, and pairs with the SquatRack underneath a loaded bar. The TriaTrainer trades that capacity for three shapes, 15 kg and a footprint under a square metre.

One year from the date of shipment, taken to two years on components and two years on wooden components by registering the bench inside that first year. Spare parts carry ninety days. The term covers private and commercial use, and it excludes normal wear, modification and maintenance that has been skipped.

Closed, it is 90 cm long, 35 cm wide and 55 cm tall at 15 kg, which goes into most estate boots and across a folded rear seat. That matters to trainers who work in more than one place, and it is the practical difference between this bench and the 60 kg SquatRack or the 88 kg WeightPlate Tower.
